  • Coyotes' Michael Kesselring: Posts assist Tuesday

Kesselring recorded an assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Canadiens.

The helper snapped a six-game point drought for Kesselring. The 24-year-old has maintained a fairly steady bottom-four role, but he's picked up just four assists with 40 hits, 27 PIM and 16 blocked shots over 22 games since the start of 2024. He's at 13 points, 44 shots on net, 64 hits, 39 PIM and 31 blocks through 41 contests overall. Kesselring's lack of power-play time keeps his fantasy value limited.

  • Coyotes' J.J. Moser: Supplies assist Tuesday

Moser logged an assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Canadiens.

Moser has picked up four assists over his last eight games while skating on the Coyotes' top pairing. He's also gotten back in the power-play mix over the last couple of weeks. The defenseman has put together a solid season with 22 points, 55 shots on net, 69 hits, 79 blocked shots and a plus-2 rating through 56 appearances.

  • Coyotes' Matias Maccelli: Records helper in loss

Maccelli posted an assist and four shots on goal in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Canadiens.

Maccelli has been solid lately, racking up two goals and three assists over his last five outings. The 23-year-old winger continues to play on the second line, and it looks like he'll stay there while Alex Kerfoot takes Clayton Keller's (upper body) spot on the top line. Maccelli is up to 39 points, 102 shots on net and a minus-6 rating through 58 appearances this season.

  • Coyotes' Nick Schmaltz: Produces helper in loss

Schmaltz logged an assist and four shots on goal in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Canadiens.

Schmaltz helped out on an Alex Kerfoot tally in the second period. The helper was Schmaltz's fourth point in the last four games. The 28-year-old is the effective leader of the Coyotes' offense now with Clayton Keller (upper body) out of action. Schmaltz has 35 points, 115 shots on net, 33 blocked shots and a minus-18 rating over 55 appearances this season while primarily playing on the top line.

  • Coyotes' Nick Bjugstad: Gets goal in loss

Bjugstad scored a goal on five shots and added two hits in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Canadiens.

Bjugstad's tally cut the deficit to 3-2, but the Coyotes couldn't find an equalizer. The 31-year-old center has four points over his last four games following a nine-game drought. With the Coyotes' season spiraling amid a lengthy losing streak, Bjugstad may be a trade candidate even with another year left on his deal. He's at 13 goals, 31 points, 122 shots on net, 89 hits and 40 PIM through 58 contests.

  • Coyotes' Alex Kerfoot: Scores in Tuesday's loss

Kerfoot scored a goal and blocked three shots in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Canadiens.

Kerfoot got the first crack at replacing Clayton Keller (upper body) on the top line. The goal was Kerfoot's first in seven games, but he's also picked up three assists in that span. The 29-year-old continues to be a versatile option for the Coyotes, filling in wherever he's needed in the lineup. For the season, he has nine goals, 34 points, 72 shots on net, 45 blocked shots and 42 hits over 58 appearances.

  • Coyotes' Connor Ingram: Losing streak at seven

Ingram stopped 17 of 20 shots in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Canadiens, with Montreal's final goal coming into an empty net.

The Coyotes never led in the game, as they fell behind early and Ingram couldn't come up with a big save to help them build momentum toward an equalizer. The 26-year-old netminder hasn't won a game in over a month, going 0-5-2 over his last seven outings with a brutal 4.42 GAA and .871 save percentage. Ingram's given up seven goals on 52 shots in two starts since returning from an undisclosed injury, but Arizona doesn't exactly have a better option right now -- Karel Vejmelka's last win came in late December. Expect the duo to work in a timeshare until one of them rights the ship.

  • Coyotes' Troy Stecher: Ready to rock

Stecher (lower body) will be activated from injured reserve ahead of his return to the lineup Tuesday against Montreal, Craig Morgan of PHNX Sports reports.

Stecher's return from a 13-game absence could result in Josh Brown being a healthy scratch Tuesday. The 29-year-old Stecher has one goal, four assists, 41 shots on net, 57 blocked shots and 43 hits over 42 games during the 2023-24 campaign.

  • Coyotes' Connor Ingram: Starting in Montreal

Ingram will patrol the road crease versus the Canadiens on Tuesday, Craig Morgan of PHNX Sports reports.

Ingram wasn't great in his last start Sunday against the Jets, surrendering four goals on 32 shots en route to a 4-3 overtime loss. He'll try to snap his personal six-game losing streak, which dates back to Jan. 25, in a favorable road matchup with a struggling Montreal squad that's lost five straight contests.

  • Coyotes' Clayton Keller: Unavailable versus Habs

Keller (upper body) will not be an option against Montreal on Tuesday after head coach Andre Tourigny told reporters, "It will take a few days ... Not tomorrow," per Patrick Brown of the Coyotes' official site.

Keller has been rolling of late with five goals and eight helpers in his last 15 contests, including five power-play points. There are several options to replace Keller on the top line but Jason Zucker could be in line for a promotion to the first group while Logan Cooley might move up to the No. 1 power-play unit.

  • Coyotes' Michael Carcone: Playing time inconsistent

Carcone has been scratched for five of the Coyotes' nine games in February.

Carcone was one of the team's best stories early in the season, but the magic has worn off. He's scoreless in his last eight outings and has just one goal since the calendar flipped to 2024. For the season, the 27-year-old has 15 goals, five assists, 72 shots on net, 36 hits and 20 PIM through 49 appearances. Carcone may get a chance to play soon with Clayton Keller (upper body) leaving Sunday's game versus the Jets.

  • Coyotes' Juuso Valimaki: Pockets helper

Valimaki notched an assist and two shots on goal in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Jets.

Valimaki snapped a four-game slump when he set up a Matias Maccelli tally in the second period. The 25-year-old Valimaki has five points over his last 13 outings while seeing mostly bottom-four usage on the Coyotes' blue line during the team's 12-game losing streak. For the season, he has 11 points, 38 shots on net, 39 hits, 46 blocked shots and a minus-2 rating over 43 appearances.

  • Coyotes' Alex Kerfoot: Picks up helper

Kerfoot notched an assist and two hits in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Jets.

Kerfoot has a helper in three of the last four games. The 29-year-old has done alright on offense despite logging bottom-six minutes in recent weeks. He's up to 33 points, 72 shots on net, 42 hits, 42 blocked shots and a minus-10 rating over 57 appearances. Kerfoot had just 32 points in 82 games with the Maple Leafs last season, so it's safe to say he's been a good fit with the Coyotes.

  • Coyotes' Jason Zucker: Posts power-play helper

Zucker notched a power-play assist and four shots on goal in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Jets.

Zucker snapped his five-game point drought with the helper. The winger's veteran presence could be helpful for the Coyotes if Clayton Keller (upper body) misses time with the injury he sustained Sunday. Zucker has had mediocre returns on offense this season with 23 points, 96 shots on net, 67 hits, 48 PIM and a minus-3 rating through 47 outings, but he's spent a large portion of the campaign in a bottom-six role.

  • Coyotes' Dylan Guenther: Provides helper in overtime loss

Guenther notched a power-play assist, two shots on goal and two PIM in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Jets.

Guenther is up to five points over his last eight outings. The 20-year-old winger set up a Nick Schmaltz tally in the first period. Guenther has six goals, six assists, 41 shots on net, eight PIM and a plus-1 rating through 20 contests this season. If Clayton Keller (upper body) misses time after exiting Sunday's game, Guenther could be one of the players to see an increased role.

  • Coyotes' Lawson Crouse: Contributes helper Sunday

Crouse logged an assist, three shots on goal, three hits and two blocked shots in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Jets.

Crouse has rebounded a bit lately, picking up three points, 13 shots and 14 hits over his last four contests. The winger helped out on a Matias Maccelli marker in the second period. Crouse is up to 20 goals, 12 assists, 129 shots on net, 124 hits, 39 blocked shots, 32 PIM and a minus-5 rating through 56 outings. He's on a pace similar to the one that saw him generate 45 points in 77 appearances in 2022-23.

  • Coyotes' Matias Maccelli: Reaches 10-goal mark

Maccelli scored a goal on three shots in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Jets.

This was Maccelli's second straight game with a goal. The 23-year-old winger has three tallies and three assists over nine outings in February while continuing to play on the Coyotes' second line. He could see increased responsibilities following Clayton Keller (upper body) leaving Sunday's game. Maccelli has 10 goals, 38 points, 98 shots on net and a minus-6 rating through 57 contests overall.

  • Coyotes' Nick Schmaltz: Deposits two goals in loss

Schmaltz scored a pair of goals on five shots and added two PIM in Sunday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Jets.

Schmaltz had scored just one goal while adding five assists over his previous 14 contests. The 28-year-old struck on the power play in the first period and added an even-strength marker in the third. Schmaltz may need to carry more of the load for the Coyotes with Clayton Keller (upper body) exiting Sunday's contest. Schmaltz has 16 goals, 34 points, 111 shots on net and a minus-18 rating through 54 appearances.
