For the season, he has two goals, 21 shots on net, 14 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating over nine appearances.

  • Flames' MacKenzie Weegar: Distributes three helpers

Weegar notched three assists and two shots during Saturday's 5-2 win over Montreal.

Weegar contributed to the win all night, providing three assists and leading all skaters with 24:30 of ice time. He also added two hits, two shots on goal and a plus-1 rating. He has been rock solid for the Flames since Chris Tanev was traded to the Stars and continues to build on his career year, though Saturday's outing did snap a four-game scoreless slump. With 15 goals and 36 points on the season, he is a player fantasy managers may want to consider rostering if he is available.

  • Flames' Mikael Backlund: Explodes for three points

Atkinson scored two goals and an assist in Saturday's 5-2 victory over the Canadiens.

He added an assist on the fifth and final goal while also adding three shots, one hit and a plus-3 rating in 18:06 of ice time. Despite the strong last two games -- he provided an assist Thursday -- Backlund has been scoreless in four of his last seven games. When not lighting up the scoresheet, Backlund provides decent peripherals, as he has 185 shots on goal and 62 hits for the year.

  • Flames' Andrei Kuzmenko: Returns to lineup

Kuzmenko had one shot on net in 12:26 of ice time in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Canadiens.

After missing the last two games with an upper-body injury, Kuzmenko returned to his regular spot on the third line centered by Yegor Sharangovich. Kuzmenko remains a player to watch, especially in deeper leagues. His offensive talent is undeniable, but his role with Calgary is still uncertain. Consider him a boom-or-bust option for now, with the potential to become a solid fantasy contributor in the future if he thrives in his new environment.

  • Flames' Dustin Wolf: Busy in Saturday's win

Wolf allowed two goals on 38 shots in Saturday's 5-2 home win against the Canadiens.

With the Flames up 3-0, the Canadiens could not get one by Wolf until the 23rd shot in the second period. He allowed one more goal but was able to stop both power-play shots and finished with a .947 save percentage. It was the fourth start in a row for Wolf, including three consecutive wins, since the injury to Jacob Markstrom. If Wolf continues to impress in his starts, he could push Dan Vladar for the permanent backup goalie role, increasing his fantasy value.

Markstrom (lower body) won't play Saturday versus the Canadiens, per the NHL media site.

Markstrom will be out for the third game in a row. Dustin Wolf will get another start, with Dan Vladar serving as backup. Wolf will make his second straight start after an impressive 28-save win over the Golden Knights on Thursday. That was just his second win in eight outings this season. Wolf should continue to get a looks between the pipes due to the absence of Jacob Markstrom (lower body) and the recent struggles of Dan Vladar.
