Kahkonen surrendered four goals on 29 shots in a 5-3 loss to the Flames on Saturday.
It was a close contest -- the score was 3-3 until the 5:45 mark of the third when Nazem Kadri notched his 23rd of the season. Kahkonen continues to search for his ninth win this season. Thrun signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Sharks on Saturday.
Thrun will join the Sharks immediately after completing his third season with Harvard University. The 22-year-old blueliner collected seven goals and 33 points in 33 games during the 2022-23 campaign. Thrun was originally selected by Anaheim in the fourth round of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft.... Knyzhov played the last nine games with the Sharks after being recalled from the minors March 5. He spent all of the 2021-22 season on the sidelines due to a groin injury, missed the first half of this season after offseason Achilles surgery.
