Thrun just finished his entry-level contract and posted 11 points over 51 contests last year. He earned four of those points on the power play and added 71 blocked shots and a minus-22 rating. With the Sharks expected to take a small step forward in 2024-25, Thrun should be able to contribute a bit more as a bottom-four defenseman with a power-play role, though his fantasy usefulness is still likely to be limited to deep formats.

Coe collected 12 goals, 17 points and 43 PIM in 57 regular-season contests for AHL San Jose in 2023-24. The 22-year-old forward doesn't have any NHL experience yet. He will probably be in the minors at the beginning of the 2024-25 campaign.

Emberson (lower body) will be fully fit when training camp kicks off ahead of the 2024-25 campaign, Sheng Peng of San Jose Hockey Now reports Friday.
Emberson recently signed a one-year deal with the Sharks, resolving his restricted free-agent status ahead of the season. Last year, the 24-year-old defenseman saw action in 30 NHL contests in which he garnered one goal, nine assists and 31 shots while averaging 18:33 of ice time. Looking ahead to the upcoming season, Emberson should take the next step in his development and be a full-time NHL option for San Jose.

Emberson (lower body) inked a one-year, $950,000 contract with San Jose on Thursday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Emberson saw action in 30 regular-season games with the Sharks last year in which he notched one goal, nine assists and 94 hits while averaging 18:33 of ice time. The Wisconsin native should be in the mix for a full-time NHL roster spot this year, which sets him up well to offer decent mid-range fantasy value given his offensive upside.

Dickinson, who was selected 11th overall in the 2024 NHL Draft, racked up 18 goals and 52 assists in 68 regular-season contests for OHL London before adding another 13 points in 18 playoff outings. Unlikely fellow 2024 draftee Macklin Celebrini, the 18-year-old Dickinson is unlikely to make the immediate jump to the NHL but could be added at the end of the year depending on when his junior campaign wraps up.

Celebrini signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Sharks on Saturday, per Curtis Pashelka of The San Jose Mercury News.
San Jose selected Celebrini with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft. He amassed 32 goals and 64 points in 38 games for Boston University during his freshman season in 2023-24 en route to winning the Hobey Baker Award. As a member of the Sharks, he will likely occupy a top-six role and see time on the top power-play unit during his 2024-25 rookie campaign.

Dellandrea was dealt to San Jose from Dallas on June 19 for a 2025 fourth-round pick. The 13th pick in the 2018 Draft by the Stars, Dellandrea played in only 42 regular-season games in 2023-24, due to injuries and healthy scratches. He managed two goals and nine points, as well as a goal in six postseason games. Dellandrea will get a new start with the Sharks and will likely find himself battling for a role as a bottom-six forward in training camp.

Toffoli inked a four-year, $24 million deal with San Jose on Monday, Chris Johnston of The Athletic reports.
Toffoli has played for five different organizations over the last five seasons but will now return to California, this time with the Sharks. In 79 regular-season outings between the Devils and Jets last season, the veteran winger compiled 33 goals and 22 helpers. It was the second straight season in which Toffoli was able to reach the 30-goal mark, though he may have trouble getting to that mark with San Jose if the team's offense doesn't take a step forward in 2024-25.

Bailey signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Sharks on Sunday.
Bailey suited up in 59 contests with the Sharks after agreeing to a two-way deal with the team in late November. He contributed five goals, 14 points, 70 shots on net and 76 hits at the NHL level. Bailey also earned six goals and 11 points in 16 regular-season outings with AHL San Jose in 2023-24. He will compete for a depth spot with the Sharks during training camp in the fall.

Roberts was the 131st overall pick by the Sharks in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft on Saturday.
A first-round draft pick (No. 11 overall) by Vancouver in the 2021 WHL Bantam Draft, Roberts remains a work in progress. He skates well and makes a solid first pass, but that hasn't translated into much offense for the Giants thus far, as Roberts has just 10 goals and 39 points in 129 CHL games. The biggest flaw in Roberts' game is his inconsistency in man-on-man defending. The good news is that Roberts is one of the younger players in the draft, having just turned 18 in early June. He'll have plenty of time to iron out the deficiencies in his game.

Sharks' Carson Wetsch: Value pick for San Jose
Wetsch was the 82nd overall pick by the Sharks in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft on Saturday.
Wetsch was a good source of secondary scoring for WHL Calgary this past season, finishing with 25 goals and 50 points in 67 games. Much more of a finisher than a playmaker, Wetsch is the type of high-energy player who is noticeable on the ice almost every shift. His game lacks pace at times, and he may not have the all-around skill set to crack an NHL lineup, but Wetsch has consistently improved throughout his brief junior career. He's not without pedigree after being the No. 12 overall selection in the 2021 WHL Bantam Draft.
