Hurricanes' Sean Walker: Game-time call Saturday
1h agoWalker (undisclosed) will be a game-time decision for Game 3 in Florida on Saturday, Cory Lavalette of the North State Journal reports.
Walker participated in Saturday's morning skate, but he left the ice before the end of practice. Walker was injured in the second period of Game 2 on Thursday, playing only 9:52. Should Walker sit out Saturday's clash, look for rookie Alexander Nikishin to enter the lineup in place of Walker.

Pyotr Kochetkov CAR G
Hurricanes' Pyotr Kochetkov: Tending twine in Game 3
1h agoKochetkov will defend the road net against Florida on Saturday in Game 3, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
Kochetkov has a 1-1 record with a 2.57 GAA and an .891 save percentage in three appearances this postseason. After Frederik Andersen got the hook in Game 2, the 25-year-old Kochetkov stopped four of the five shots he faced in relief in Thursday's 5-0 loss to the Panthers. Florida has the second-most goals per game (3.93) in the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Jalen Chatfield CAR D
Hurricanes' Jalen Chatfield: Remains out for Game 3
1h agoChatfield (undisclosed) remains out for Saturday's Eastern Conference Finals Game 3 against the Panthers, Cory Lavalette of the North State Journal reports.
Chatfield wasn't a participant in morning skate and will miss a fourth straight game with an injury that has kept him out since the final game of Carolina's series against the Capitals. The 29-year-old has played well when he's been in the lineup, scoring a goal and holding a plus-6 rating across nine games played in the postseason.
-
Sam Reinhart FLA C
Panthers' Sam Reinhart: Ruled out for Game 3
2h agoReinhart (lower body) will not play in Saturday's Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.
Reinhart left Thursday's Game 2 after taking a hit from Carolina's Sebastian Aho, and after one more shift, he did not return. Now, the 29-year-old Reinhart, who has been productive in the postseason with four goals and seven assists in 13 games, will miss at least one additional game because of it with Maurice still calling him day-to-day. With him out, Jesper Boqvist will play in his place on the top line with Aleksander Barkov and Evan Rodrigues.
-
Mattias Ekholm EDM D
Oilers' Mattias Ekholm: Not ruled out of Games 3 and 4
3h agoPer Ryan Rishaug of TSN, head coach Kris Knoblauch has not ruled Ekholm (undisclosed) out of Games 3 and 4.
Ekholm is still day-to-day according to Knoblauch. He has missed 23 of the last 24 games, seeing just 1:52 of ice time in his only game back March 26 versus the Stars. Should Ekholm return to the lineup, look for John Klingberg to likely be the odd-man out.
-
Jake Walman EDM D
Oilers' Jake Walman: Garners assist Friday
14h agoWalman logged an assist, three shots on goal, three blocked shots and two hits in Friday's 3-0 win over the Stars in Game 2.
Walman has yet to earn more than one point in any playoff round. He's playing in the a third-pairing role for the Oilers, who haven't had to lean on him as much because John Klingberg has been a good fit since entering the lineup. Walman now has a goal, two assists, a plus-12 rating, 22 shots on net, 18 hits, 33 blocked shots and six PIM through 13 playoff contests.

Leon Draisaitl EDM C
Oilers' Leon Draisaitl: Logs power-play helper
14h agoDraisaitl provided a power-play assist, two shots on goal and three blocked shots in Friday's 3-0 win over the Stars in Game 2.
Draisaitl helped out on Ryan Nugent-Hopkins' opening tally at 5:51 of the first period. The 29-year-old Draisaitl has five points over his last three games, and two of his four points in the Western Conference Finals have come on the power play. He's up to six goals, 14 helpers, 39 shots on net, 15 hits, 12 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating over 13 playoff outings.
-
Connor McDavid EDM C
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Slings helper in win
14h agoMcDavid notched an assist and four shots on goal in Friday's 3-0 win over the Stars in Game 2.
McDavid continues to be a superb playmaker this postseason. He's already earned three helpers over two games in the Western Conference Finals, and 17 of his 20 playoff points have been assists. The superstar has added 51 shots on net, 16 hits, 10 blocked shots and a plus-7 rating over 13 appearances.
-
Connor Brown EDM C
Oilers' Connor Brown: Buries goal Friday
14h agoBrown scored a goal on two shots in Friday's 3-0 win over the Stars in Game 3.
Brown has been missing practices while managing some sort of issue, but it hasn't kept him off the ice yet. This goal was his first since Game 1 of the second round, a span of five contests in which he had just one assist. The 31-year-old winger is at five goals, three helpers, 21 shots on net, 11 hits, eight blocked shots and a plus-4 rating over 13 playoff outings. He continues to fill a middle-six role while offering some defensive upside.
-
Ryan Nugent-Hopkins EDM C
Oilers' Ryan Nugent-Hopkins: Pair of points in Game 2
14h agoNugent-Hopkins scored a power-play goal, added an assist, logged four hits and went plus-2 in Friday's 3-0 win over the Stars in Game 2.
Nugent-Hopkins has had a goal and an assist in each of the first two games of the Western Conference Finals. Getting more offense from the 32-year-old makes life easier for the Oilers, though they aren't as dependent on their top players as usual. The forward is now at five goals, eight assists, 27 shots on net, 15 hits, 11 blocked shots and a plus-6 rating over 13 playoff outings.
-
Seth Jarvis CAR C
Hurricanes' Seth Jarvis: Ready to play Saturday
1d agoHead coach Rod Brind'Amour said Friday that Jarvis (undisclosed) is fine and should be ready to play in Florida on Saturday for Game 3, Ryan Henkel of The Hockey News reports.
Jarvis left Thursday's game briefly in the third period, but he returned to action before the end of the contest. Jarvis has four goals and 12 points in 12 games during the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Roope Hintz DAL LW
Stars' Roope Hintz: Sustains injury in Game 2
14h agoHintz suffered an apparent lower leg or ankle injury in Friday's Game 2 versus the Oilers, Sam Nestler of DLLS Stars reports.
Hintz was slashed near the top of his skate by Darnell Nurse in the third period, and the Dallas center needed help off the ice. The 28-year-old's status is in question for Sunday's Game 3 in Edmonton. If Hintz can't play, Wyatt Johnston would likely ascend to a top-six role while Oscar Back would draw back into the lineup on the fourth line.
-
Matthew Tkachuk FLA LW
Panthers' Matthew Tkachuk: Two-point game in win
2d agoTkachuk had a goal and an assist in a 5-0 win in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Thursday.
His goal was a nice tap-in at the left post to put Florida up 2-0 in the first period. But it was his antagonism of Andrei Svechnikov later in the same frame that led to a penalty and power-play goal that drove the score to 3-0. Tkachuk isn't even the more talented brother, but his ability to agitate and chirp is epic, and he drives opponents over the edge. And his offense really is sweet. Tkachuk sits in a tie with Aleksander Barkov and Brad Marchand for second in team scoring these playoffs (12 points; four goals, eight assists).
-
Mason Marchment DAL LW
Stars' Mason Marchment: Supplies power-play assist
3d agoMarchment notched a power-play assist, three shots on goal, four hits and two PIM in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Oilers in Game 1.
Marchment has a helper in each of the last two games, a sign his offense may be coming around. Both of those assists have come with the man advantage. Marchment is up to five points, 24 shots on net, 51 hits, 10 blocked shots, 16 PIM and an even plus-minus rating over 14 appearances. He can do a little more in depth scoring, but he'll also provide some sandpaper while occupying a middle-six role.
-
Roope Hintz DAL LW
Stars' Roope Hintz: Puts up power-play helper
3d agoHintz logged a power-play assist and two hits in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Oilers in Game 1.
Hintz snapped a three-game skid with the helper to set up Matt Duchene's go-ahead goal in the third period. The 28-year-old Hintz has accumulated 11 points (five on the power play), 33 shots on net, 12 hits, 14 blocked shots and a plus-1 rating across 14 playoff outings. He remains in a top-line role, and his budding chemistry with Mikko Rantanen will likely be a primary source of offense for the Stars during the Western Conference Finals.
-
Jason Robertson DAL LW
Stars' Jason Robertson: Snags helper in Game 1 win
3d agoRobertson logged an assist in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Oilers in Game 1.
Robertson has been limited to two assists, eight shots on net, 10 hits, five blocked shots and a minus-4 rating over seven playoff outings. He missed the first round due to a knee injury, and he's been shuffled around the lineup as the Stars look to keep productive trios together. While Robertson would normally be a top-line option, he's currently taking middle-six minutes and time on the second power-play unit while other players have more momentum.
-
Mikko Rantanen DAL RW
Stars' Mikko Rantanen: Generates power-play helper
3d agoRantanen notched a power-play assist and three shots on goal in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Oilers in Game 1.
Rantanen was held off the scoresheet in the last two games of the second round versus the Jets. He's had few quiet moments this postseason, playing a huge role with five multi-point efforts, including a pair of hat tricks. He's at 20 points (seven on the power play), 42 shots on net, 17 blocked shots, 11 hits and a plus-2 rating over 14 playoff contests. Rantanen continues to lead the postseason in points, one ahead of Edmonton's duo of Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, and it's a battle between those superstars that could define this series.

-
Evan Bouchard EDM D
Oilers' Evan Bouchard: Dishes pair of assists
14h agoBouchard notched two assists, including one on the power play, and blocked three shots in Friday's 3-0 win over the Stars in Game 2.
Bouchard has six multi-point efforts over 13 playoff games. He's opened the Western Conference Finals with a goal and two assists over two contests as he continues to play a leading role on the Oilers' blue line. Overall, he's racked up five goals, 10 assists, 31 shots on net, 18 blocked shots and a plus-4 rating this postseason.
-
Brett Kulak EDM D
Oilers' Brett Kulak: Finds twine in win
14h agoKulak scored a goal in Friday's 3-0 win over the Stars in Game 2.
Kulak got a second chance on a rush play and buried the goal to put the Oilers ahead 2-0 at 15:23 of the second period. This snapped a six-game point drought for the defenseman. He's seeing top-four minutes at this stage of the playoffs, though his role could be reduced if Mattias Ekholm (undisclosed) is able to return during the Western Conference Finals. Kulak has a three points, a plus-5 rating, 15 shots on net, 10 hits and 23 blocked shots over 13 playoffs appearances.

Stuart Skinner EDM G
Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Bounces back with shutout win
14h agoSkinner posted a 25-save shutout in Friday's 3-0 win over the Stars in Game 2.
Skinner has three shutouts over his last four games. All three of his wins this postseason have been by shutout, but he's offset those with four ugly performances in his losses. Still, Skinner is the Oilers' No. 1 in goal until Calvin Pickard (undisclosed) is deemed ready to play, so he'll have to work on finding a middle ground. Game 3 sees the series shift to Edmonton tied at 1-1.
-
Jake Oettinger DAL G
Stars' Jake Oettinger: Gets no help in loss
14h agoOettinger allowed three goals on 25 shots in Friday's 3-0 loss to the Oilers in Game 2.
The Stars didn't take good care of the puck, as they were charged with 27 giveaways in the contest. Oettinger wasn't at his best either, but it's not fair to fault the goaltender when the offense fails to put up a goal. The 26-year-old has now taken a loss after each of the last three instances in which he's won consecutive games this postseason. Despite the hiccup in Game 2, Oettinger will likely get the nod in Sunday's Game 3.
-
Jake Oettinger DAL G
Stars' Jake Oettinger: Starting Friday
18h agoOettinger will protect the home goal versus the Oilers in Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals on Friday, Sam Nestler of DLLS Stars reports.
Oettinger stopped 24 of 27 shots in Wednesday's Game 1, and he has now won four of his last five games. He has a 2.01 GAA and a .930 save percentage in that span. The Stars were sloppy early in Game 1, so Oettinger will need to be sharp if they go through another lull.
-
Stuart Skinner EDM G
Oilers' Stuart Skinner: Between pipes for Game 2
1d agoSkinner will patrol the visiting crease for Game 2 in Dallas on Friday, according to Tony Brar of Oilers TV.
Skinner gave up five goals on 27 shots in Game 1 on Wednesday after recording back-to-back shutouts in the final pair of games versus Vegas in the second round. The 26-year-old is 2-4 with a 3.39 GAA and an .872 save percentage across six playoff appearances in 2025. The netminder was 1-2-0 during the regular season versus Dallas, allowing 11 goals on 69 shots. The Stars have generated 2.86 goals per game over 14 playoff contests.
-
Sergei Bobrovsky FLA G
Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky: Third shutout of playoffs
2d agoBobrovsky made 17 saves in Thursday's 5-0 victory over Carolina in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
The shutout was Bobrovsky's third of the playoffs; the Panthers now lead the best-of-7 series 2-0 heading home to Sunrise. Bob wasn't really tested, and the goal that did go in was overturned on an offside. The shutout belonged to the whole team -- their pressure game from the drop of the puck had the Canes confused and off-balance all night. Bobrovsky will be between the pipes in Game 3 on Saturday.
