    Analysis

    OK, while Michigan absolutely didn't deserve Saturday's win, and it might take me until 2028 to get over that, this is a massive overreaction number for Week 2. Why, because Oklahoma pounded UTEP? Nuh-huh. I'd favor UM at home (if slightly) and fully expect this to come down all week. That's why taking it now. Honestly thought it was a mistake by FanDuel but I'm staring at the number.

    Analysis

    We've got two teams that used Week 1 as the perfect test session for their season, as they're supposed to. Texas A&M had a 50-0 win while ASU cruised to a 70-7 win. But what I was alerted to before the game was that ASU has a new quarterback transfer from Kentucky named Cutter Boley and Coach Kenny Dillingham gave him extreme confidence, letting him throw all over the field for 387 yards with six touchdown passes and no picks while completing 77.8 of his passes. Texas A&M is probably the value side, with the spread that should be 13 on a neutral field, plus 6 points given to the home edge for a spread that should be maybe -19. Sun Devils over the total.

    Analysis

    Drew Mestemaker threw for 34 touchdown passes and 9 interceptions at North Texas last year and decided to come over to Oklahoma State with head coach Eric Morris this season to change things around. The Cowboys went 1-11 last year, but this year didn't start much better. Last year they beat Tennessee-Martin 27-7 in the opener; this year they lost to Tulsa 24-10 as Mestemaker was picked off twice. Oklahoma State was hyped up by some in the media, and they were 13.5-point favorites over Tulsa before losing. Next step for Oklahoma State is the Oregon Ducks, who they lost to 69-3 last year in the same week. Oregon covers.

    Analysis

    I'm going to lay the big number with Virginia Tech here. This is a revenge spot after Old Dominion blew them out last season. James Franklin may not be "Big Game James," but he likes to keep the boosters happy. I can see Franklin running it up late if he gets a chance after the Hokies got embarrassed by in-state little brother on their home field. Also, I want to fade ODU early. The Monarchs lost their entire offense from last season and didn't look good against a bad Norfolk State defense, finishing with 319 total yards. I expect the Hokies to roll at home. Lay up to 19.5.

    Analysis

    Do you understand how painful it is for me to make this pick? I can't stand ASU. They are literally my arch nemesis. But this line is just too high and business is business. Arizona State quarterback Cutter Boley was sensational in Week 1 against Morgan State and might be the franchise QB the Sun Devils are looking for to replace Sam Leavitt. Texas A&M is very good and a playoff contender led by QB Marcel Reed, but they aren't more than two touchdowns better than Kenny Dillingham's team, especially this early in the season. Texas A&M 31, Arizona State 24.
