    The Arizona Diamondbacks have now won a season best seven out of their last eight games. All the victories have came in the division, which included a home sweep over today’s opponent in the San Francisco Giants. Adrian Del Castillo’s has struggled on the season with a .181 batting average, and a drop in playing time. Yet his last multi hit game was against the San Francisco Giants, last Tuesday with Landen Roupp on the mound. He also moves up from the bottom of the lineup as he is hitting fifth today.     Analysis

    Nick Lodolo has a 7.20 ERA through three starts and hasn’t lasted six innings in any of them. The bullpen behind him has a 7.11 ERA since May 11. The Mets’ offense didn’t show up in Miami (two runs in three games!) but have hit left-handers pretty well of late, and have definitely been better at home. Nolan McLean got smacked by the Nationals his last start; that was the first time he’d allowed over three runs (nine starts).

    FanDuel (-134). Michael Wacha has cleared this strikeout line in 8/10 starts, only missing twice against the Guardians (fourth lowest K% against righties). Conversely, the Yankees have the fourth highest strikeout rate against righties, and Wacha struck out six at Yankee Stadium earlier this season. In fact, Wacha has had plenty of success against this lineup, and I’m counting on more of the same today.

    Analysis

    Should the White Sox be home dogs in this scenario? Perhaps not. The Twins have won four in a row, but the Pale Hose are 15-9 ATS at home. Chicago lefty Anthony Kay has been quite good in May at 2-0 with a 2.11 ERA in four starts. The Twins are 9-11 vs. southpaws. It's the first road start of 2026 for Minnesota's Zebby Matthews, who was 3-4 with a 5.48 ERA away last year.

    Analysis

    Caesar’s. Shane McClanahan continues to operate on a very tight leash this season. Pitching for the first time in two years, the Rays lefty has only pitched into the sixth inning twice in nine starts, as the Rays monitor his workload. The two outings in which he work in the sixth, he started the inning with 55 and 62 pitches. That type of efficiency should be tough to come by tonight against the Orioles who see the second most pitches per plate appearance (3.99). McClanahan just faced the Orioles at home in his last start and allowed four runs on six hits in five innings. Now in Baltimore, I just don’t see the Rays pushing their ace this early in the season.
