  • Ducks' Sam Colangelo: Signs entry-level deal

Colangelo signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Ducks on Thursday. The contract will begin immediately for the remainder of the 2023-24 campaign.

Anaheim selected Colangelo with the 36th overall pick in the 2020 Entry Draft. The 22-year-old winger appeared in 38 games as a senior with Western Michigan University this season, racking up an impressive 24 goals and 43 points. He'll join the Ducks immediately and could make his NHL debut as soon as Friday against Calgary.

  • Ducks' Jakob Silfverberg: Announces retirement

Silfverberg will hang up his skates at the end of the season, the Ducks announced Thursday.

Silfverberg was selected by the Senators with the 39th overall pick in the 2009 NHL Draft but spent just one season with Ottawa before being traded to Anaheim. The 33-year-old winger spent the next 11 years with Anaheim, racking up 158 goals and 196 assists in 769 games -- adding to the 19 points in 48 games he logged in that rookie season.

  • Ducks' Nikita Nesterenko: Assigned to AHL affiliate

Nesterenko was reassigned to AHL San Diego on Wednesday.

The Ducks are off until Friday versus Calgary, and it wouldn't be surprising to see Nesterenko back with the big club ahead of that contest. The 22-year-old winger has picked up one goal through three top-level appearances this season.

  • Ducks' Radko Gudas: Offers helper

Gudas notched an assist, three hits and three blocked shots in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Kings.

This was Gudas' first point in three games since he returned from a 10-game absence due to an upper-body injury. That lengthy absence is about the only negative on an otherwise strong season from the hard-hitting blueliner. He's racked up 17 points in 63 outings, matching his point total from 72 contests a year ago, while adding 221 hits, 148 blocked shots, 126 PIM, 85 shots on net and a plus-12 rating.

  • Ducks' Cam Fowler: Helpers in consecutive contests

Fowler notched an assist and two hits in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Kings.

Fowler has a helper in each of the last two games and four points over his last six contests. The 32-year-old continues to see heavy minutes on the Ducks' top pairing, and he's chipped in solid offense in 2023-24. For the season, Fowler is at 36 points (17 on the power play), 106 shots on net, 113 blocked shots and a minus-36 rating through 78 appearances.

  • Ducks' Ryan Strome: Provides two assists in win

Strome registered two assists, four hits and a plus-3 rating in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Kings.

Strome has three helpers over his last two contests, though that increased production follows a 14-game drought. The 30-year-old has lacked consistency this season, posting 39 points through 76 contests. He's added 127 shots on net, 62 hits, 84 PIM and a minus-20 rating in a middle-six role with power-play time. Strome still has a chance to match his 41-point effort from last year, but both of his first two seasons with the Ducks are well below what he was able to do over four years with the Rangers.

  • Ducks' Trevor Zegras: Tallies in Tuesday's win

Zegras scored a goal on two shots and went plus-2 in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Kings.

The third-period goal was Zegras' first since he returned from a broken ankle. He's earned a goal and four assists over his last five contests after taking a while to get back up to speed. The 23-year-old center has five goals, 12 points, 64 shots on net, 30 PIM and a minus-2 rating over 28 outings this season. He should be safe in a top-six role to close out the year since Mason McTavish (knee) is unlikely to recover in time to play before the Ducks' final game April 18 versus the Golden Knights.

  • Ducks' Alex Killorn: Puts away go-ahead goal

Killorn scored a goal on six shots in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Kings.

Killorn has four goals and two helpers over his last six contests. The 34-year-old continues to see time in a top-line role, and he's made the most of his premium playing time in the second half. Overall, he's produced 18 goals, 36 points, 136 shots on net, 71 hits, 52 PIM and a minus-15 rating over 60 appearances this season.

  • Ducks' Frank Vatrano: Nets goal Tuesday

Vatrano scored a goal on five shots, added three hits and went plus-3 in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Kings.

Vatrano has three goals over his last two games after being limited to two assists across the previous seven contests. The 30-year-old winger continues to take his career year to new heights, though he has slowed down in the second half. Vatrano is at 33 goals, 56 points, 266 shots on net, 148 hits, 74 blocked shots, 81 PIM and a minus-21 rating through 79 outings overall.

  • Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Stands tall in win

Dostal allowed a goal on 37 shots in Tuesday's 3-1 win over the Kings.

Dostal made his fifth straight start, and this was his best performance in that span. He limited the Kings to an Akil Thomas goal on a broken play in the first period. Dostal improved to 13-22-3 with a 3.40 GAA and a .900 save percentage through 42 appearances. John Gibson is getting closer to a return from an upper-body injury, but it's possible Dostal could start two of the Ducks' last three games to get more experience.

  • Ducks' John Gibson: Not suiting up Tuesday

Gibson (upper body) won't dress for Tuesday's game versus the Kings, Derek Lee of The Sporting Tribune reports.

Gibson was expected to serve as backup, but he instead will fully rest again. Lukas Dostal will start and Alex Stalock will be the backup for at least one more game.

  • Ducks' Max Jones: Remains unavailable Tuesday

Jones (upper body) will not be in the lineup to face the Kings on Tuesday, Derek Lee of The Sporting Tribune reports.

At this point, Jones is in danger of missing the rest of the season with just three more games remaining following Tuesday's tilt. Even when healthy, it's been a disappointing campaign for the 26-year-old winger, as he has managed just 15 points in his last 52 outings. If Jones does return, it figures to be in a bottom-six role.

  • Ducks' Mason McTavish: Could be done for the year

McTavish (knee) may miss the rest of the season, Derek Lee of The Sporting Tribune reports.

McTavish is currently in a restrictive knee brace, and with just four games remaining, his odds of returning this season are likely slim at best. If he does miss the rest of the campaign, McTavish will end the year having picked up 19 goals and 42 points while averaging 16:17 of ice time through 64 contests.

  • Ducks' Pavel Mintyukov: Still not skating

Mintyukov (lower body) has yet to resume skating with the team and won't be an option against the Kings on Tuesday, Derek Lee of The Sporting Tribune reports.

While the team continues to classify Mintyukov as day-to-day, the fact that he will miss his fifth consecutive game certainly would seem to indicate the defenseman is dealing with a more serious problem. At this point, Mintyukov has just four contests left before the Ducks' season comes to a close.

  • Ducks' John Gibson: Serving as backup Tuesday

Gibson (undisclosed) will serve as Lukas Dostal's backup Tuesday at home against the Kings, per Derek Lee of The Sporting Tribune.

Gibson hasn't had the best season, registering an .890 save percentage and a 13-26-2 record. The 30-year-old has been with the Ducks his whole career, but he's been the subject of trade rumors over the past few seasons. He will be entering his 11th season in the NHL in 2024-25.

  • Ducks' Lukas Dostal: Starting against LA

Dostal will protect the home net Tuesday against the Kings, according to Alyson Lozoff of Bally Sports West.

Dostal has picked up one victory over his last six outings, allowing 21 goals on 167 shots during that stretch. He has a 12-22-3 record this season with a 3.47 GAA and an .898 save percentage across 41 games played. The Kings rank 16th in the league this campaign with 3.12 goals per contest.

  • Ducks' Gustav Lindstrom: Bags apple Sunday

Lindstrom notched an assist, two shots on goal, three hits and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 6-5 shootout loss to the Blues.

Lindstrom played well on the third pairing, and he's earned three helpers over his last nine contests in a similar role. The 25-year-old also brings a physical edge with multiple hits in seven of those games. For the season, Lindstrom has 10 points, 28 shots on net, 56 hits, 56 blocked shots, 22 PIM and a plus-11 rating over 42 appearances between the Ducks and the Canadiens.
