  • Coyotes' Ivan Prosvetov: Sent to AHL

Prosvetov was assigned to AHL Tucson on Saturday.

Prosvetov was always a long shot to make the Coyotes' roster, and that became even more obvious when they claimed Jonas Johansson on waivers. Instead, Prosvetov will likely see a starter's workload at Tucson as he continues to gain professional experience in the minors.

  • Coyotes' Ivan Prosvetov: Stunned in second period

Prosvetov allowed five goals on 29 shots in Monday's 5-1 loss to the Blues.

Prosvetov kept the Blues off the board in the first period, but they stung him for four goals on 14 shots in the middle stanza. This wasn't an unexpected result in the second half of the Coyotes' back-to-back -- Prosvetov has given up 12 goals on 104 shots in three appearances this season. With Harri Sateri likely to close out the year as the Coyotes' backup, it wouldn't be surprising to see Prosvetov sent back to AHL Tucson within the next week.
