Rosen scored his eighth goal of the season in Saturday's 6-1 loss to the Predators. He spoiled Juuse Saros' shutout bid midway through the third period by flipping the puck through traffic from the blue line and seeing it trickle through the partially screened netminder. Rosen has been in and out of the lineup since the beginning of March, but he's been providing a little offense lately when he gets a chance, scoring a goal and three points over his last four games.... Blues' Calle Rosen: Scores twice Saturday
Rosen scored a pair of goals on four shots in Saturday's 6-5 overtime win over the Coyotes. Rosen's pair of tallies came within a span of 1:49 during the third period. The Blues led 5-2 after the latter of his goals, but the lead didn't stick. The 29-year-old's path to playing time has cleared up with Niko Mikkola included in the trade that sent Vladimir Tarasenko to the Rangers, so Rosen should be an everyday player going forward. He has seven goals, eight helpers, 42 shots on net, 36 blocked shots and a plus-16 rating through 33 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Calle Rosen: Registers assist Monday
Rosen logged an assist and two shots on goal in Monday's 2-1 win over the Senators. Rosen hasn't been able to replicate scoring in three straight games to close out December, but he's managed a decent three assists through eight January contests. The 28-year-old blueliner has been asked to play more with injuries to other Blues recently. Rosen has enjoyed a solid campaign with 12 points, 32 shots on net, 32 blocked shots and a plus-14 rating through 28 appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Calle Rosen: Opens Saturday's scoring
Rosen notched a goal and a plus-1 rating during a 5-2 loss to the visiting Wild on Saturday. Rosen scored in his third game in a row, lifting the Wild to a 1-0 first-period lead. The 28-year-old defenseman started his career with a minus-8 rating in 38 outings with the Maple Leafs and Avalanche. In 20 appearances this season, Rosen is a plus-11. Rosen, who added two shots and one block in the defeat, had four goals in 55 career games before the recent surge.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Calle Rosen: Nets game-winner
Rosen tallied a goal on his lone shot attempt in Thursday's 3-1 victory over the Blackhawks. Rosen intercepted a wayward pass in the offensive zone before depositing a wrist shot past Alex Stalock to give St. Louis a 2-1 lead in the second period. The 28-year-old blueliner has goals in consecutive games after serving as a healthy scratch in the Blues' previous eight contests. Rosen has set a new career high with eight points as he's tallied four goals and four assists in 19 games.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Calle Rosen: Slides helper
Rosen posted an assist and blocked two shots in Thursday's 5-2 loss to the Jets. Rosen helped out on a Robert Thomas goal in the second period. Solid defensive play has helped to keep Rosen in the lineup, but he has just two helpers in his last 10 outings. The 28-year-old blueliner is up to six points, 21 shots on net, 20 blocked shots and a plus-9 rating through 17 appearances. He's one point and one shy of matching his career-high totals in those respective areas from last season.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Calle Rosen: Opens Wednesday's scoring
Rosen scored a lucky-bounce goal during Wednesday's 5-2 victory over the host Blackhawks. Rosen, who entered Wednesday with only four goals in 44 NHL appearances, notched a first-period tally, igniting the Blues to their fourth straight victory after an eight-game losing streak. The 28-year-old defenseman has helped stabilize the defensive corps, pacing the Blues with a plus-6 rating in seven outings. Rosen, who added two shots Wednesday, scored the game's first goal at 14:09 of the first period when his shot ricocheted off defenseman Alec Regula.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Calle Rosen: Stays warm with assist
Rosen notched an assist and went plus-3 in Saturday's 3-2 win over the Golden Knights. Rosen set up Brandon Saad's first-period tally. All three of Rosen's points this year have come in the last two games. With injuries piling up on the blue line, Rosen appears to have a chance to log steady third-pairing minutes while Robert Bortuzzo (upper body) is out. Rosen has added seven shots on net and a plus-4 rating in five appearances this season.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Calle Rosen: Helps Blues best Sharks
Rosen scored a goal and registered an assist in Thursday's 5-3 win against the Sharks. Rosen had no points in three games this season going into Thursday's contest. Even with his contributions in the contest, he still logged just 12:36 of ice time. His limited role with the Blues makes it unlikely that he'll have much fantasy value this season.... See More ... Blues' Calle Rosen: Signs two-year extension
Rosen signed a two-year, two-way contract extension with the Blues on Wednesday. Rosen spent most of the 2021-22 season in the minors, racking up 28 points through 40 contests, but he also drew into 18 games with the big club, picking up seven points over that span. He'll likely have a similar role within the Blues organization over the next two campaigns.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Calle Rosen: Hits waivers
Rosen was waived by St. Louis on Saturday, James Mirtle of The Athletic reports. Look for Rosen to join AHL Springfield in the highly likely event he passes through waivers unclaimed. The 28-year-old Swede has racked up 28 points through 40 minor-league appearances this year.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Calle Rosen: Key role in high-scoring win
Rosen scored two goals and added an assist in Sunday's 8-3 win over Nashville. Rosen came in with just one goal in 33 NHL appearances, so this was a career night for the 28-year-old Swede. All three of his points came during St. Louis' seven-goal second period. Rosen scored his first goal of the season at the 4:24 mark to make it 3-1, then doubled up his goal total 7:46 later to push the lead to 5-1 before capping his career night with a helper on Brayden Schenn's goal 4:17 after that.... Blues' Calle Rosen: Assists in consecutive contests
Rosen posted an assist in Wednesday's 4-1 win over the Kraken. Rosen had the secondary helper on Ryan O'Reilly's empty-netter in the third period. This was Rosen's second straight game with an assist -- an achievement he's done twice this week. The 28-year-old is up to four helpers, eight shots on net, 10 blocked shots and an even plus-minus rating through 12 contests in a bottom-pairing role.... See More ... See Less -
Blues' Calle Rosen: Adds helper Monday
Rosen logged an assist in Monday's 5-1 win over the Coyotes. This was Rosen's first point in five games since he was called up from AHL Springfield. The 28-year-old has matched his career high in points with three helpers in 11 contests this season, though he remains on the fringe of the roster. He's received playing time on the third pairing at the expense of Niko Mikkola, who has been a healthy scratch three times in the last five games.... See More ... See Less -
