Lemonier passed away Thursday at the age of 25, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports.
Lemonier appeared in 13 combined games between the Chargers and Lions from 2020-21. Through his seven appearances with the Lions in 2021, he recorded 1.5 sacks. Lemonier was selected in the 2023 XFL Draft back in November but instead had decided to commit to the USFL this upcoming spring.

Lemonier was promoted to the Chargers' active roster from the practice squad Saturday.
The 23-year-old appeared in two games earlier this season but was waived a couple weeks ago. Lemonier mostly played special teams during his previous stint on the active roster and may have a similar role this time around.

The undrafted rookie out of Liberty has played two of the last three games for the Chargers, recording 16 total snaps. With Melvin Ingram (knee) being activated from IR, Lemonier was cut loose but could land back on the practice squad.
