Eagles' Oren Burks: Inks deal with Eagles
Burks signed a one-year contract worth up to $2.5 million with Philadelphia on Saturday, Dianna Russini of The Athletic reports.
Burks saw the most defensive work of his career with San Francisco last season, tallying 308 defensive snaps and accumulating a career-best 46 tackles, including 1.0 sacks, over 15 regular-season games. He also continued to play on special teams, which had been his primary role in the NFL prior to last year. Burks will likely provide depth at linebacker for Philadelphia in the coming campaign while adding value as a core special-teamer.

Eagles' Josh Sweat: Restructures deal
The Eagles restructured Sweat's contract ahead of the 2024 season Friday, Cayden Steele of NJ.com reports.
The 26-year-old defensive end's restructured contract allows him to make up to $13 million in 2024, with $10 million guaranteed, per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com. Sweat saw a dip in production last season compared to the previous two years, but he was still fairly impactful nonetheless. The Florida State product appeared in all 17 of the Eagles' regular-season outings, logging 43 total tackles, including 6.5 sacks. Sweat is expected to remain one of the most productive players on Philadelphia's defense in 2024.

Eagles' Kenny Pickett: Dealt to Eagles
The Steelers are trading Pickett to the Eagles for a draft pick swap, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
As recently as 10 days ago, multiple Pittsburgh beat reporters said the team preferred to keep Pickett and Mason Rudolph and then let them compete for the starting job. Both are now gone and will be backups for other teams, while the Steelers have Russell Wilson as the lone QB on their offseason roster. The move to Philadelphia might help Pickett's development but also means he'll have no opportunity to compete for the top spot, instead serving as a clear backup to Jalen Hurts. Pickett, a 2022 first-round pick, has two seasons remaining on his rookie contract, plus a fifth-year option for 2026 that's unlikely to be picked up.
