  • Cowboys' Marist Liufau: Picked up by Dallas

The Cowboys selected Liufau in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 87th overall.

Liufau was a "see ball, get ball" type of linebacker at Notre Dame with the ability to diagnose where the play was going and get there in a hurry, often with authority. His intensity led to him occasionally running out of plays but also record some impressive highlights. At 6-foot-2 and 234 pounds with 4.64 speed, his chase-and-tackle ability should translate to the next level. Dallas will have to get him to play more disciplined, but if they can accomplish that, Liufau can be an asset in this linebacker corps.

  • Cowboys' Cooper Beebe: Heading to Big D

The Cowboys selected Beebe in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 73rd overall.

Taking offensive linemen from Kansas State is rarely a bad idea and Beebe is the latest one to make it to the league with immense potential. He had second-round grade by many scouts thanks to his All-American-level play for his final two years in the Little Apple. Beebe is squat and strong at 6-foot-3 and 322 pounds, and he carries a mean streak. His immediate projection is difficult to figure given the Cowboys' depth at guard, but he should be the heir apparent to the 33-year-old Zack Martin.

  • Cowboys' Marshawn Kneeland: Second-round pickup for Dallas

The Cowboys selected Kneeland in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 56th overall.

Kneeland (6-foot-3, 267 pounds) once played on the same line as fellow second-round pick Braden Fiske when the two attended Western Michigan, but Fiske transferred to Florida State in 2023 while Kneeland remained up north. Though very toolsy (4.75-second 40-yard dash, 35.5-inch vertical jump, 7.02-second three-cone drill), Kneeland's production never quite took off at Western Michigan the way you would expect of an athlete like him playing in the MAC. Kneeland will likely begin his career as a depth player for Dallas due to the presence of Micah Parsons, DeMarcus Lawrence and Sam Williams.

  • Cowboys' Tyler Guyton: Reeled in at 29th overall by Dallas

The Cowboys selected Guyton in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, 29th overall.

Dallas might have preferred a tackle target like Troy Fautanu or Amarius Mims, but both were off the board when Dallas originally went on the clock at the 24th pick. There's likely a drop-off from those two to Guyton, so Dallas did well to get some compensation for said drop-off. Guyton (6-foot-8, 322 pounds) is super toolsey (34.5-inch vertical) and has good reach (34 and 1/8-inch arms), so in terms of physical traits he checks all the boxes for a starting left tackle. What's less clear is whether Guyton has the skill element necessary to emerge as a standout starting tackle. Guyton transferred to Oklahoma from TCU and did not earn consistent playing time until late in his career, and even then only at right tackle. Dallas has little choice but to throw Guyton into the fire at left tackle, in any case, as they've otherwise done nothing to replace former left tackle Tyron Smith.
