  • Bengals' Drue Chrisman: Signs to 53-man roster

The Bengals signed Chrisman off their practice squad Tuesday.

Since Cincinnati had already elevated Chrisman to their active roster the maximum of three times, all of which came the last three weeks, the 25-year-old's only chance to continue suiting up for the Bengals this season was for the team to sign him. In a corresponding move, Cincinnati waived their original starting punter Kevin Huber on Monday. Chrisman is now slated to handle punting duties for the rest of the 2022-23 campaign.

  • Bengals' Logan Wilson: Seven tackles in win

Wilson recorded seven tackles (four solo) and a tackle for loss Sunday during the 27-24 win against the Chiefs.

Wilson turned in another solid performance despite being questionable heading into the game with an illness. The 25-year-old linebacker has now recorded at least seven tackles over the past three weeks while playing 100 percent of the team's snaps over that span. Wilson will look to maintain this level of play versus the Browns next week.

  • Bengals' Jessie Bates: Bounces back in win

Bates recorded eight tackles (four solo) during Sunday's 27-24 win versus the Chiefs.

Bates had one of his strongest performances of the season as he led the team in tackles. After combining for just six tackles over the past two weeks, the former All Pro safety bounced back this week and helped limit Patrick Mahomes and one of the NFL's most explosive offenses. Bates will look to build off of this strong performance next week against the Browns.

  • Bengals' Germaine Pratt: Forces key fumble

Pratt forced and recovered a fumble from the Chiefs' Travis Kelce in the Bengals' win on Sunday for the only turnover of the game.

Overall Pratt had just four tackles for his second-lowest output of the season, but he seems to have a knack for coming up big at the right time. The Bengals trailed by four at the time, and they drove for the eventual game-winning touchdown following the turnover.

  • Bengals' Joseph Ossai: Big sack against Chiefs

Ossai recorded his second sack of the season, ending the Chiefs' final drive in the Bengals' Week 13 win.

Ossai has played a modest role in his first healthy season with the Bengals, but this sack in the fourth quarter prompted the Chiefs to attempt a long field goal, which they promptly missed. The Bengals held on to the ball for the remainder of the game.

  • Bengals' Mitchell Wilcox: Busy role on tap

Wilcox had one catch for 13 yards on his only target in Sunday's win over Kansas City. He played 47 offensive snaps, which is the most he's played all season, both in raw number and as a percentage of the team's snaps.

He will maintain a similar role in Week 14 with Hayden Hurst unlikely to play. That said, Wilcox probably won't have a significant role in the passing game, as he's had no more than two targets in any game this season.

  • Bengals' Trenton Irwin: Role reduced

Irwin played only nine snaps in Sunday's win over the Chiefs, catching one pass on his only target for 12 yards.

With Ja'Marr Chase back, Irwin reverted back to a fourth receiver role, one not frequently needed by the Bengals in Week 13.

  • Bengals' Trayveon Williams: Minimal offensive role

Williams had just one carry for three yards in Sunday's win over the Chiefs, playing 10 offensive snaps.

Williams was still involved on special teams, returning two kicks for 27 yards, but he took a step back from the previous week when he was more involved against the Titans. If Joe Mixon returns as expected this week, Williams might be relegated to special teams only duty.

  • Bengals' Brandon Wilson: Won't return in 2022

Wilson (knee) has reverted to the Bengals' reserve/PUP list for the remainder of the 2022 season, Paul Dehner Jr. of The Athletic reports.

Wilson opened the regular season on the reserve/PUP list while recovering from a torn ACL suffered in Week 9 of the 2021 season, and he was designated to return to practice Nov. 14. However, he was not restored to the active roster within his 21-day return window, so he will now remain on the PUP list for the remainder of the 2022 campaign. Wilson will now shift his focus toward recovering before he hits free agency this coming offseason. The strong safety recorded 291 kick return yards before tearing his ACL last season, and his absence should leave Chris Evans and Trent Taylor to continue handling kick returns for Cincinnati moving forward.

  • Bengals' Hayden Hurst: Unlikely to play in Week 14

Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said Hurst (calf) will likely be listed as doubtful for Sunday's matchup against the Browns, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.

Hurst caught two of three targets for 12 yards before suffering the calf injury, but the extent of the issue remains unclear, as Baby relays that the team is still gathering more information. With the starting tight end unlikely to play, Mitchell Wilcox and Devin Asiasi figure to be candidates for increased roles in Week 14.
