  • Cowboys' Nahshon Wright: Placed on COVID-19 list

Dallas placed Wright (illness) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, Nick Eatman of the Cowboys' official site reports. Wright tested positive for the virus and will likely be sidelined for Thursday's contest against the Saints. The rookie cornerback has mostly played special teams this season, so if he is unavailable, it shouldn't have an impact on Dallas' defensive rotations.

  • Cowboys' Nahshon Wright: Practices in full Monday

Wright (hamstring) logged a full practice Monday, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports. Wright missed the Cowboys' Week 11 loss against Kansas City, but getting in a full practice is a good sign for his availability Thursday. The third-round rookie has primarily contributed on special teams this season.

  • Cowboys' Nahshon Wright: Impressing so far this offseason

Wright made a big impression during OTAs and minicamp, Rob Phillips of DallasCowboys.com reports. The third-round pick in this year's draft racked up deflections and interceptions thanks to his 6-foot-4 frame and huge wingspan, and coach Mike McCarthy was very pleased with how quickly Wright sponged up the playbook. The rookie's length is a great fit for new defensive coordinator Dan Quinn's scheme, and with the Cowboys looking to replace a lot of snaps from last year's secondary, the path is clear for Wright to handle a significant role right out of the gate if he shows he's ready in training camp.
