Player Outlook
Lamb has become one of the best Fantasy receivers heading into this season, and he's worth drafting toward the end of Round 1 or beginning of Round 2 in all leagues. He should have another outstanding campaign as the No. 1 target for Dak Prescott. In his first season without Amari Cooper in 2022, Lamb set career highs in targets (156), receptions (107), yards (1,359) and touchdowns (nine), and he averaged a career-best 17.7 PPR points per game, which was No. 7 among receivers. He should once again command 150-plus targets from Prescott, and that puts him in rare company, as only five receivers hit that number last year. Once Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase, Cooper Kupp, Tyreek Hill and Stefon Diggs come off the board, Lamb should be among the next receivers drafted in the top 15 overall picks.

  • Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Finds end zone in quiet performance

Lamb recorded four receptions on six targets for 36 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 38-3 win over the Patriots. Lamb was overshadowed by Jake Ferguson and Michael Gallup in the offense. While that may have been the byproduct of Dallas having a significant advantage on the scoreboard, Lamb has now seen seven or fewer targets in three of four games on the season. Despite the limited volume, he still managed to salvage his fantasy performance with a 20-yard touchdown catch late in the first quarter -- his first trip to the end zone this season. He'll turn his attention to another tough defensive matchup in Week 5, as the Cowboys are set to square off against the 49ers.

  • Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Held in check in Sunday's loss

Lamb caught four of seven targets for 53 yards in Sunday's 28-16 loss to the Cardinals. While the Cowboys had some success on the ground, Lamb and the passing game didn't make much of an impact with Dak Prescott working behind an offensive line missing three starters, including Zack Martin (ankle). Lamb has still topped 50 receiving yards in all three games in 2023, but he faces a tough matchup in Week 4 against a Patriots defense that's been the only one to somewhat contain Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins' passing attack so far this season.

  • Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Ties career high in receptions

Lamb caught 11 of 13 targets for 143 yards in Sunday's 30-10 win over the Jets. Despite being matched up frequently against Sauce Gardner, Lamb put together a huge performance as he tied his career high in catches while accounting for over 56 percent of Dak Prescott's passing yards. In fact, no other Cowboy came within 100 yards of Lamb's output -- Tony Pollard finished second on the team with 37 receiving yards. The No. 1 wideout could be busy again in Week 3 against a Cardinals defense that just gave up 321 passing yards to Daniel Jones, most of which came in an epic second-half collapse.

  • Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Healthy to start camp

Lamb (leg) took part in practice Wednesday, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports. Lamb's participation at the beginning of training camp confirms he's moved past the minor leg injury that caused him to miss a practice or two in June. The fourth-year wideout is locked in as Dak Prescott's favorite target, albeit with a bit more competition for the quarterback's attention after the Cowboys traded for Brandin Cooks and have a healthier version of Michael Gallup. Of course, Dallas also lost tight end Dalton Schultz this offseason, and there's room for the 24-year-old Lamb to command an even larger target share if he continues improving the way he did between his second and third NFL seasons.

  • Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: No concern over leg issue

Lamb, who appeared to be favoring his left leg after making a catch in Wednesday's minicamp practice, isn't in line to participate in Thursday's session, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports. While the Cowboys plan to err on the side of caution with Lamb in the team's last practice prior to training camp, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News relays that coach Mike McCarthy noted Thursday that he had "no concern" about Lamb's health. Once the 2020 first-rounder resumes practicing next month, he'll be in line to reprise his role as the top option in a Dallas wideout corps that also includes fellow returnee Michael Gallup as well as newcomer Brandin Cooks.

  • Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Leg issue downplayed

Lamb (leg) is reportedly fine following his exit from Wednesday's minicamp practice, Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News reports. Per Mickey Spagnola of the Cowboys' official site, Lamb appeared to be favoring his left leg after landing awkwardly while making a catch during Wednesday's session, but the issue doesn't look like anything serious and shouldn't impact Lamb's status for next month's training camp. This coming season, the 2020 first-rounder is in line to continue to head a Dallas pass-catching corps that bid adieu to TE Dalton Schultz this offseason while adding veteran wideout Brandin Cooks. In 17 games in 2022, Lamb paced the team with 107 catches for 1,359 yards and nine TDs on 156 targets.

  • Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Gets fifth-year option

The Cowboys exercised the fifth-year option on Lamb's rookie contract Thursday, Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports. Teams have a deadline of May 1 to make such decisions with first-round picks from the 2020 Draft, and the 17th overall selection that year now is locked in with Dallas through the 2024 season. Lamb is coming off a second consecutive 1,000-yard campaign, having put together a 107-1,359-9 line on 156 targets in 17 games last season. He's also been plenty durable during his three-year career, missing just one of a possible 50 regular-season contests to date. After the Cowboys added Brandin Cooks to their receiving corps this offseason, Lamb may have even more room to operate in a Dak Prescott-led offense.

  • Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Leading receiver in losing effort

Lamb corralled 10 of 13 targets for 117 yards and rushed twice for six yards in Sunday's 19-12 divisional-round loss to the 49ers. Lamb took advantage of the 49ers' Achilles heel -- its cornerbacks -- and produced the first 100-yard receiving game of his young postseason career. The rest of Dallas' offense sputtered in the loss, bringing the star wideout's 2022 season to a close. Lamb finished with career highs across the board during the regular season, finishing with 107 receptions for 1,359 yards and nine touchdowns across 17 games. The 23-year-old will enter the fourth year of his rookie contract in 2023, and he will likely command a huge contract extension if he continues to make strides as the Cowboys' top wideout.

  • Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Finds end zone in wild-card win

Lamb brought in four of six targets for 68 yards and a touchdown in the Cowboys' 31-14 wild-card win over the Buccaneers on Monday night. Lamb was having a fairly underwhelming night until he rounded it out nicely with an 18-yard scoring grab early in the fourth quarter. The third-year wideout ultimately finished second on Dallas in receiving yards and tied for second in targets on a night in which Dak Prescott shined with a 300-yard, four-touchdown performance. Lamb figures to play an integral role once again in Sunday's divisional-round road clash against a talented but occasionally vulnerable 49ers secondary.

  • Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Another busy night Thursday

Lamb secured 11 of 14 targets for 100 yards in the Cowboys' 27-13 win over the Titans on Thursday night. Lamb comfortably led the Cowboys in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the night, repeatedly capitalizing on a very short-handed Titans defense. The third-year wideout's performance included his fifth 100-yard tally of 2022 and tied his season high in receptions, and it also put him over the 100-catch mark for the campaign. Lamb's final opportunity to tune up for the postseason comes in a Week 18 road matchup versus the Commanders a week from Sunday.

  • Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Perfect against Jags

Lamb recorded a reception on all seven of his targets for 126 yards in Sunday's 40-34 loss to Jacksonville. Lamb was surprisingly out-targeted by Noah Brown in Sunday's loss, though he put together a far more efficient performance. Lamb ripped through the Jaguars' secondary for long gains on 39, 25, and 22 yards on his way to his third 100-yard performance of the season, all which have come in the last six games. The only thing missing from his effort was a trip to the end zone, though Lamb still needs just one more touchdown to reach a career high.

  • Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Disappears against Texans

Lamb recorded five receptions on six targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 27-23 win over the Texans. The Cowboys came into the game as heavy favorites and operated as such, focusing on establishing the rushing attack. However, the Texans hung around and held a small lead for the majority of the game, which forced Dallas to open up its offense. Even so, Lamb couldn't get going and had to settle for a 13-yard reception as his longest gain of the game. Lamb's yardage total was his second lowest of the season and worst output since Week 1.

  • Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Shines on SNF

Lamb corralled five of seven targets for 71 yards and a touchdown while adding 23 rushing yards on two carries in Sunday's 54-19 win over the Colts. Lamb led the Cowboys in receiving and had his way with the Colts' banged up secondary. Dallas' star wideout could have had an even bigger game had Indianapolis kept the score closer in the second half of this lopsided affair. Lamb is closing in on his second consecutive 1,000-yard season with a 69-938-6 receiving line through 12 games. The Cowboys will take on the 1-10-1 Texans on Sunday, giving Lamb another prime opportunity to take advantage of a weak opponent in Week 14.

  • Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Low usage in blowout win

Lamb caught all five of his targets for 45 yards in Sunday's 40-3 blowout victory over the Vikings. Lamb was able to haul in 100 percent of the passes thrown his way for the first time this season, but the five targets also marked a season low. The 23-year-old was used sparingly due to a crooked score and a combined four touchdowns from Dallas' running backs. The game got so out of hand that head coach Mike McCarthy was able to pull all of the starters for the fourth quarter, also adding to Lamb's suppressed output this week. The Cowboys' star wideout could be in line for a big game on Thanksgiving against a Giants team that may be without both of its top corners Thursday.

  • Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Breaks century mark with two scores

Lamb corralled 11 of 15 targets for 150 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 31-28 overtime loss to the Packers. Lamb finally broke the century mark in receiving yards for the first time in 2022 after coming close on a couple occasions. Dallas' star wideout also tallied his first double-digit reception and multi-score game in this monster fantasy performance. The 23-year-old now carries a healthy 53/706/5 line through nine contests, putting him well on pace for career highs in all three categories. Lamb will look to build off of his best showing of the season in a favorable matchup against a vulnerable Minnesota secondary next Sunday.

  • Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Scores, records 77 yards

Lamb recorded five receptions on seven targets for 77 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 49-29 win over the Bears. Lamb narrowly beat out Dalton Schultz to lead Dallas in receiving yards, and he now has 13 targets combined in the two games since Dak Prescott has returned. Lamb's performance was highlighted by receptions of 22 and 21 yards -- the latter of which went for his third touchdown of the season. He has still yet to surpass the century mark in a game this season, but Lamb has at least 70 yards in five of eight contests.

  • Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Team-high receiving yardage Sunday

Lamb brought in four of six targets for 70 yards and netted minus-4 yards on one carry in the Cowboys' 24-6 win over the Lions on Sunday. Lamb's receiving yardage total was a team high, while his reception tally was second behind only the team-high five catches secured by Noah Brown and Dalton Schultz. Lamb's first game back with Dak Prescott didn't result in better numbers than he compiled in a couple of his games with Cooper Rush under center, but the third-year receiver naturally should have a chance to reignite his chemistry with the talented quarterback the more they play together moving forward.

  • Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Top DFS Play

Dak Prescott is back and the matchup against the Lions is spectacular. Lamb has earned a dominant target share the past month; now it's time for some dominant Fantasy performances.

  • Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Gains 77 yards on seven touches

Lamb (hip) had five receptions on 10 targets for 68 yards while adding nine yards on two rush attempts in Sunday's 26-17 loss to the Eagles. Lamb's fantasy managers suffered a late-week scare when the star wideout was added to the injury report due to his hip at Friday's practice. The 23-year-old was expected to play based on early reports Sunday, and he followed through and provided solid fantasy production. Lamb added his second and third rushing attempts of the season, but his efficiency (5.0 YPC) is lacking compared to his brief usage as a rusher over his first two seasons (8.3 YPC). Cowboys star quarterback Dak Prescott (thumb) could return as soon as next Sunday's tilt against Detroit, but Lamb has proven that he can still be relied upon even if backup Cooper Rush is forced to make another start.

  • Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb: Playing Sunday, as expected

Lamb (hip) is active for Sunday's contest at Philadelphia. After sitting out Friday's practice due to a previously unknown hip issue, Lamb was termed questionable for Week 6 action. Still, there was an expectation that he'd play, which was supported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Network on Sunday morning. With his status now confirmed, Lamb again will be the focus of the Cowboys' passing game, but he'll be on the receiving end of passes from Cooper Rush instead of Dak Prescott (thumb), the latter of whom may be able to return Week 7 against the Lions. While working with Rush over the last four outings, Lamb has put together a cumulative 26-312-2 line on 39 targets.
