Philadelphia waived Scott on Tuesday. Scott played four games with the Eagles this season after they signed him a little more than a month ago, but he only logged 17 defensive snaps during that span, and he managed just two total tackles. He's now set to become a free agent unless he's claimed by another team during the current waiver period.... See More ... See Less

Eagles' Josiah Scott: Won't play Thursday
Scott (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday's matchup against Houston. Scott picked up an ankle injury during the team's Week 8 win over Pittsburgh and will be sidelined for at least one additional game. The third-year defensive back operated exclusively on special teams over his last two appearances, so his absence shouldn't impact Philadelphia's defense.... See More ... See Less -
Eagles' Josiah Scott: Exits with injury
Scott (ankle) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Steelers, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Scott has primarily played on special teams over his first six games with Philadelphia, though he played 109 defensive snaps in the team's banged-up secondary Weeks 4 and 5. With the 23-year-old sidelined, Avonte Maddox and Zech McPhearson will serve as the Eagles' lone healthy cornerbacks behind Darius Slay and James Bradberry.... See More ... See Less -
Eagles' Josiah Scott: Designated to return
Scott (hamstring) was designated to return from injured reserve Tuesday. Scott was placed on injured reserve prior to the start of the regular season. He is now eligible to return after missing three games, though it's not clear when he may be prepared to do so. However, Scott will now be able to practice with the team and can be activated at any time within the next 21 days.... See More ... See Less -
Eagles' Josiah Scott: Doesn't return to Friday's contest
Scott didn't return after suffering a hamstring injury during Friday's preseason contest against the Jets, Reuben Frank of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports. Scott was acquired by the Eagles via trade this offseason to compete for a depth role in their secondary. As a rookie, the fourth-round pick recorded 11 tackles while playing 80 defensive snaps in six appearances for Jacksonville last season. The extent of the 22-year-old's injury is unknown, but if he misses too much time his spot on the roster is in jeopardy.... See More ... See Less -
Jaguars' Josiah Scott: Hits reserve/COVID-19 list
The Jaguars placed Scott (illness) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday. Scott could see opportunities to compete for slot reps when he's cleared to join teammates at training camp. His placement on the COVID-19 list doesn't necessarily mean that Scott has tested positive for the virus, as the list also encompasses players who have come in to close contact with someone who has tested positive....
