Packers' Eric Stokes: Two tackles vs. Philadelphia
Stokes finished Friday's 34-29 loss to the Eagles with two tackles (one solo).
It was a low tackling output by Stokes, but he did play 65 of the Packers' 76 defensive snaps Friday as the starting corner opposite Jaire Alexander. Stokes has appeared in just 13 regular-season games over the past three years after appearing in 16 contests in his rookie season in 2021. The 25-year-old corner is looking to make an impact in Green Bay's secondary and earn a hefty contract after his fifth-year option was declined in May.

Packers' Devonte Wyatt: Plays 36 snaps vs. Eagles
Wyatt registered one solo tackle and a fumble recovery in Friday's 34-29 loss to the Eagles.
Wyatt worked as a reserve in the Packers' 4-3 defense, and he ended up playing 36 of 74 defensive snaps, three less than starter Tedarrell Slaton. Wyatt recovered a Jalen Hurts fumble during the first quarter, which led to a 23-yard field goal from Brayden Narveson eight plays later. Wyatt -- the Packers' first-round selection in the 2022 NFL Draft -- should continue to serve prominently in the defensive scheme for Week 2 against the Colts.

Packers' Jordan Love: Not a candidate for IR
Coach Matt LaFleur said Monday that Love (knee) will not be placed on injured reserve, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
LaFleur also declined to fully rule Love out to play Week 2 versus Indianapolis, though considering the 3-to-6-week recovery timetable that Tom Pelissero of NFL Network offered for the starting quarterback's MCL sprain, it would be a true surprise if he didn't miss any time. Per LaFleur, Malik Willis will start Sunday against Tennessee if Love can't go. Placing Love on IR would rule him out for the next four games while opening up a roster spot, so Green Bay's decision not to do so is an indication that Love is expected to be back sooner rather than later. However, LaFleur said the team will take a cautious approach to Love's recovery rather than "put him in position to mortgage the short term for the future."

Packers' Malik Willis: Will start Week 2 if Love ruled out
Coach Matt LaFleur said Monday that Willis will start Sunday's game against the Colts over Sean Clifford if Jordan Love (knee) isn't cleared to play, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
LaFleur didn't officially rule Love out for Week 2, but he said Willis will start until the franchise QB is ready to return. Reports have linked Love to a 3-to-6-week recovery timeline due to an MCL sprain, so though LaFleur is still leaving the door open for Love to play Sunday and said he won't go on IR, per Bill Huber of SI.com, it seems likely that Willis will start versus Indianapolis. Willis joined the Packers via trade from the Titans in the last week of August, so the 2022 third-round pick presumably isn't yet fully acclimated to his new offensive scheme. That could result in Green Bay deploying a run-heavy attack headlined by Josh Jacobs on Sunday.

Packers' Ben Sims: Limited to special teams in Week 1
Sims played all seven of his snaps on special teams in the Packers' 34-29 loss to the Eagles on Friday.
Outside of situations in which the Packers want to get an extra blocker on the field, Sims will likely struggle to find a role on offense while both of Green Bay's top two tight ends, Tucker Kraft and Luke Musgrave, are available. Sims appeared in all 17 regular-season games as a rookie in 2023 and finished with a 4-21-1 receiving line on six targets.

Packers' Isaiah McDuffie: Gets big workload in Brazil
McDuffie recorded six tackles (three solo) during Friday's 34-29 loss against Philadelphia.
McDuffie was on the field for nearly all of the Packers' defensive snaps in Week 1, indicating he could project for some IDP value for the remainder of the season. He should see a good dose of the run versus the Colts in Week 2.

Packers' Malik Willis: Looks headed for Week 2 start
Willis is expected to start at quarterback in the Packers' Week 2 home game against the Colts on Sept. 15, Jay Glazer of Fox Sports reports.
Packers head coach Matt LaFleur has yet to comment on the team's plans at quarterback for Week 2 and likely won't until the team resumes practicing during the upcoming week, but Willis appears poised to take over for Jordan Love (knee), who suffered an MCL sprain in Friday's 34-29 loss to the Eagles in Brazil. As Glazer notes, the Packers received better news than anticipated regarding Love, who suffered a "Grade 1 or 2" sprain, which is considered a "2-to-4-week injury." With that in mind, Willis doesn't look as though he'll be in store for a long-term stint atop the depth chart if he does in fact take over as the team's new starter. The Packers acquired Willis from the Titans in the final week of August, so he didn't have a chance to play in any of Green Bay's preseason contests before he came on to replace Love for the final six seconds of Friday's loss. Willis has appeared in parts of 12 games (three starts) over his three-year NFL career, completing 35 of 67 pass attempts (52.2 percent) for 350 yards, no touchdowns and three interceptions while taking 15 sacks and carrying 32 times for 144 yards and another score. The Packers would presumably lean on a run-heavy game plan while Willis fills in for Love.
