  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Sticking around in Arizona

Dortch announced via his personal Twitter account that he's re-signed with the Cardinals. Dortch is now set to remain in Arizona for this upcoming campaign following Friday's announcement. After a quiet first couple of years to begin his NFL career, the 24-year-old had a breakthrough season despite the combination of the team's inconsistent quarterback play and the Cardinals' depth at the wide receiver position. Dortch will aim to build off of the 52 catches, 467 yards and two scores that he registered during the 2022 campaign.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Puts together career season

Dortch gathered in 52 of 64 passes for 467 yards and two touchdowns and took seven carries for 44 yards in 16 appearances during the 2022 campaign. All of the aforementioned stats were career highs for the third-year pro, and Dortch also continued to handle returns, averaging 19.8 yards on 11 kick returns and 6.6 yards on 26 punt returns. Neither of those per-return marks were otherworldly, and while his workload on offense was yanked around from week to week, his catch rate of 81.3 percent ranked seventh among NFL players to see at least 50 targets. Dortch is a pending restricted free agent, so Arizona will have the ability to match any offer sheet he receives from another team once free agency begins March 15.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Sleepers (Start/Sit)

Let's hope that Dortch gets 10 targets again from David Blough in Week 18 at San Francisco like he did in Week 17 against Atlanta. Only this time let's hope he catches more than four passes for 15 yards. That was the sixth time this season Dortch had more than three targets in a game, but the only time he failed to score more than 13 PPR points. DeAndre Hopkins (knee) is out again in Week 18, and 49ers have allowed six receivers to score at least 12 PPR points in their past three games, so Dortch could be a No. 3 PPR Fantasy option in Week 18. Marquise Brown should be considered a borderline starter in all leagues.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Week 18 Adds (WR Preview)

Dortch's production in Week 17 was abysmal, but he still saw double-digit targets and every other time he's had this role this season he's been productive. I expect another double-digit target game in Week 18 with much better Fantasy results.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Week 18 Waiver Priority List

Dortch didn't have a good Fantasy outing in Week 17 at Atlanta with four catches for 15 yards, but he did have 10 targets. And hopefully he gets that many targets again in Week 18 at San Francisco. Colt McCoy could return at quarterback for the Cardinals, and we'll see what's going on with DeAndre Hopkins (knee) since he missed the Falcons game. Marquise Brown also is reportedly dealing with an arm injury. The 49ers have allowed six receivers to score at least 12 PPR points in their past three games, so Dortch could be a No. 3 PPR Fantasy option in Week 18.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Does little with 10 targets

Dortch recorded four receptions on 10 targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 20-19 loss to the Falcons. Coming off a career-high 10-catch performance in Week 16, Dortch tied for the team lead in targets. However, he was unable to convert that opportunity into any type of production as his longest reception went for just 11 yards. So long as DeAndre Hopkins (knee) remains sidelined, Dortch should continue to see expanded opportunity, though the overall state of the Arizona offense could hold back his numbers.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Sleepers (Start/Sit)

We'll see how the Cardinals decide to use Dortch in Week 17 at Atlanta, but hopefully Kliff Kingsbury keeps Dortch in the slot -- and new quarterback David Blough leans on him. Dortch was a star in Week 16 against Tampa Bay with Trace McSorely with 10 catches for 98 yards on 11 targets, and Dortch added three carries for 25 yards. This is not the first time Dortch has done this since he had at least 13 PPR points in each of the first three games of the season and then scored 19 PPR points in Week 11 against San Francisco. If he plays in the slot and is featured then Dortch is capable of big numbers, and Rondale Moore (groin) did similar things before getting hurt. It's a gamble to trust Dortch with Blough under center, but it could pay off since he has the potential to be a standout PPR receiver against the Falcons if used correctly.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Sneaky Sleeper (Lineup Decisions)

I'd cautiously start Dortch as a No. 3 receiver in full PPR on the hope he can come through for a dozen points. I'd chance it with him over Jakobi Meyers, Russell gage, Richie James and any Steelers WR.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Week 17 Adds (WR Preview)

Dortch has played at least 70% of the snaps in five games this season and scored at least 13 PPR Fantasy points in all five of those games. Kliff Kingsbury this week made it sound as if Dortch is locked back into the slot role that has been very valuable in Arizona this season.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Week 17 Waiver Priority List

We'll see if Dortch's performance in Week 16 against Tampa Bay was a fluke or not, and the quarterback might matter if Colt McCoy (concussion) returns and puts Trace McSorely back on the bench. With McSorely starting against the Buccaneers, Dortch was a star with 10 catches for 98 yards on 11 targets, and he added three carries for 25 yards. However, with DeAndre Hopkins and Marquise Brown both active, Dortch was a non-factor with no catches the previous two games prior to Week 16. We'll see what happens in Week 17 at Atlanta, but it's a great matchup for Dortch. Given his production against Tampa Bay, no matter the quarterback, he's worth the gamble as a No. 3 PPR receiver against the Falcons.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Career-best night in Week 16 loss

Dortch secured 10 of 11 targets for 98 yards and rushed three times for 25 yards in the Cardinals' 19-16 overtime loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday night. Dortch's career-best night came out of nowhere, considering he'd logged just four snaps from scrimmage apiece in the prior two games and had gone without a target in those contests as well. The third-year wideout served as spot starter Trace McSorley's security blanket from early in the game, however, and he finished the night leading the Cardinals in all receiving categories. If McSorley were to log another start for Colt McCoy (concussion) in a Week 17 road matchup versus the Falcons, Dortch could enjoy another dose of expanded opportunity.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Cleared for Week 16

Dortch doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's matchup against Tampa Bay, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports. Dortch was limited for practices Wednesday and Thursday due to a knee injury, which was concerning given he sat out Week 12 with a knee issue. However, it appears his lack of full participation was merely precautionary, and the wideout should be good to go for Week 16. He's operated primarily on special teams over his past two appearances, but if Marquise Brown (groin) is sidelined, Dortch could be thrust into a sizable offensive role against Tampa Bay.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Limited by knee Wednesday

Dortch was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice due to a knee issue, Josh Weinfuss of ESPN.com reports. Since sitting out Week 12 with a thumb injury, Dortch used the Cardinals' Week 13 bye to get healthy, but his usage has sunk to little more than special-teams work over the last two games. As such, his 10 targets from Week 11 appear to be an aberration, as his 10 offensive snaps from the past two outings haven't yielded any looks in the passing game. If he's able to suit up and eventually get some plays on offense Sunday against the Buccaneers, any passes that come to Dortch will be from Trace McSorley, who is getting the start under center with Kyler Murray on injured reserve due to a torn ACL and with Colt McCoy unavailable due to a concussion.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Logs full practice Thursday

Dortch (thumb) practiced in full Thursday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. After going off for a career-high 109 yards on nine catches during a Week 11 loss to the 49ers, Dortch didn't practice in the ensuing week due to a thumb injury and eventually went down as one of the Cardinals' inactives Week 12 against the Chargers. With the benefit of Arizona's bye week, though, he's able to handle all on-field work, which can't be said for DeAndre Hopkins (illness) and Rondale Moore (groin), both of whom were DNPs on Thursday. Arizona still has two more sessions to go during Week 14 prep, but if one or both of Hopkins and/or Moore are limited or out Monday versus the Patriots, Dortch could take on a bigger role alongside the likes of Marquise Brown and A.J. Green.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Sitting out in Week 12

Dortch (thumb) is listed as inactive Sunday versus the Chargers, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports. In the wake of his 103-yard performance last Monday against the 49ers, Dortch was revealed to be dealing with a thumb injury, but surgery was ruled out, and he was considered day-to-day by coach Kliff Kingsbury. Dortch proceeded to miss every Week 12 practice and entered the weekend as a game-time call, but a report from Adam Schefter of ESPN late Saturday noted he was unlikely to play. Indeed, that has come to pass, meaning the Cardinals will go with DeAndre Hopkins, Marquise Brown, A.J. Green, Robbie Anderson, Andre Baccellia and Pharoh Cooper at wide receiver Sunday with Rondale Moore (groin) also unavailable.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Unlikely to play in Week 12

Dortch (thumb) is listed as questionable but isn't expected to play Sunday versus the Chargers, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The situation at wide receiver for the Cardinals has lacked clarity all week, but with Rondale Moore (groin) getting ruled out Friday and Marquise Brown (foot) being activated from IR on Saturday, Dortch is the final domino waiting to fall. That hasn't happened yet, but if he's deemed inactive about 90 minutes before Sunday's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff, Arizona's likely available receivers will be DeAndre Hopkins, Brown, A.J. Green and Robbie Anderson, with Saturday signee Andre Baccellia and practice-squad call-up Pharoh Cooper the other candidates to be active.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Game-time call

Dortch (thumb) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Chargers and will be treated as a game-time decision, Tyler Drake of ArizonaSports.com reports. Dortch didn't practice in any capacity Wednesday through Friday, and his status takes on more importance given the upcoming absence of Rondale Moore, whose groin injury in the first quarter opened the door for Dortch to top 100 receiving yards in a loss to the 49ers on Monday. While similar production is unlikely in any event, Dortch could man the slot this week in an Arizona offense that hopes to get Marquise Brown (foot) back from injured reserve. Head coach Kliff Kingsbury said Brown's role could be limited his first game back, but Dortch will need to prove he's healthy enough to capitalize before his team's 4:05 p.m. ET kickoff this Sunday.

  • Cardinals' Greg Dortch: Sleepers

We'll continue to monitor the thumb injury for Dortch, but he should have the chance for a prominent role if healthy against the Chargers since Rondale Moore (groin) has been ruled out for Week 12. And the status for Marquise Brown (foot) is up in the air, but even if Brown plays we should see Dortch play in the slot, which is great. Remember, Dortch started the season as the slot receiver for the Cardinals when Moore was out with a hamstring injury, and Dortch scored at least 13 PPR points in each of the first three games. Then on Monday, after Moore was injured on the opening drive against San Francisco, Dortch stepped in and finished with nine catches for 103 yards on 10 targets. He has the chance to be a high-end No. 3 Fantasy receiver in all leagues if he's able to play without any restrictions, especially with Kyler Murray (hamstring) expected to return.
