  • Saints' Foster Moreau: Doing everything at OTAs

Moreau (illness) participated in Tuesday's practice, Ross Jackson of Saints News Network reports. The veteran tight end was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma earlier in the offseason but is already a full participant at practice, per Jackson, running routes and catching passes at Tuesday's session. Moreau should be a fixture in New Orleans' offense after inking a three-year, $12.234 million deal to compete with Juwan Johnson for No. 1 tight end duties. Moreau already has familiarity with new Saints QB Derek Carr from their time together with the Raiders.

  • Saints' Foster Moreau: Links up with Saints

Moreau (illness) agreed to terms Wednesday with the Saints on a three-year, $12 million contract, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Moreau was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma after he took a physical with New Orleans during the early portion of free agency, and he'll now ultimately signs with the same team, reuniting with quarterback Derek Carr in the process. Per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com, Moreau's recovery is progressing positively, and the 26-year-old plans to play in 2023. Moreau could play a significant role in a tight-end corps headlined by Juwan Johnson and hybrid player Taysom Hill. During the 2022 season, Moreau caught 33 passes (on 54 targets) for 420 yards and two touchdowns in 15 games with the Raiders.

  • Foster Moreau: Diagnosed with cancer

Moreau announced Wednesday via his personal Twitter account that he's "stepping away from football at this time" following a recent cancer diagnosis. Moreau noted that when he recently underwent a routine physical with the Saints, the team discovered that the free agent tight end has Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He'll now focus on treatment of the disease, with no timetable for when he may be healthy enough to play again, if at all.

  • Raiders' Foster Moreau: Career-high 54 targets in 2022

Moreau closed out his 2022 campaign with 33 catches for 420 yards and two touchdowns on 54 targets in 15 games. Moreau was credited with 14 starts and he filled in as the Raiders' No. 1 tight end when Darren Waller was sidelined for eight straight contests due to injury, but Moreau found the end zone just twice all year and never recorded more than 55 receiving yards in a single game. The 2019 fourth-rounder's rookie contract expires and he becomes an unrestricted free agent this offseason, so Moreau could land elsewhere in 2023.

  • Raiders' Foster Moreau: Season-high 55 yards in loss

Moreau caught all three of his targets for 55 yards in Sunday's 37-34 overtime loss to the 49ers. Moreau managed to post a season-high 55 receiving yards despite fellow tight end Darren Waller also erupting for 72 yards and a score on three catches. Moreau actually out-snapped Waller in the contest, but the latter remains a more legitimate receiving threat ahead of the Raiders' Week 18 tilt against the Chiefs.

  • Raiders' Foster Moreau: Headed back to No. 2 role

Moreau is expected to move back to the No. 2 role at tight end Sunday against the Patriots after the Raiders activated Darren Waller (hamstring) from injured reserve Saturday, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports. Even if Waller is some kind of snap-count restriction in his first game since Week 5, his return in any capacity is still likely to push Moreau off the fantasy radar in most leagues. While serving as the Raiders' starting tight end in each of the team's last eight games, Moreau played at least 90 percent of the offensive snaps on every occasion while stringing together a 19-242-2 receiving line on 37 targets. In the three games this season in which both he and Waller have been available, Moraeu has handled snap shares between 32 and 62 percent while drawing eight total targets.

  • Raiders' Foster Moreau: Held catchless Thursday

Moreau failed to catch his only target in Thursday's 17-16 loss to the Rams. Moreau posted a complete dud in what could turn out to be his last chance as the Raiders' No. 1 option at tight end this season, with Darren Waller (hamstring) possibly on track to return from injured reserve Week 15 against the Patriots. Regardless, Moreau hasn't caught more than three passes in a single contest since Week 8.

  • Raiders' Foster Moreau: Sneaky Sleeper (Lineup Decisions)

Let's be real, the only reason why you'd start Moreau is that you're stuck streaming a tight end, perhaps as a bye-week replacement. You'll have to hope he finds a touchdown, which is the case every week for him, but this time he's playing a team that's allowed a LOT of touchdowns to tight ends. If you're weighing him against other low-volume tight ends like Austin Hooper or Dawson Knox, you might as well go with the guy with the better matchup. I would put Hunter Henry ahead of him, however.

  • Raiders' Foster Moreau: Makes 32-yard grab in win

Moreau caught one of three targets for 32 yards in Sunday's 27-20 win over the Chargers. Moreau briefly exited Sunday's contest in the first half to be evaluated for a concussion, but he returned in a timely fashion to ultimately play 55 of the Raiders' 61 offensive snaps. However, he's now been held to just one reception in two of the team's past three games. Fellow tight end Darren Waller (hamstring) is eligible to return from IR in Week 14, but his availability for Thursday's tilt against the Rams is in question given the quick turnaround.

  • Raiders' Foster Moreau: Evaluated for concussion

Moreau is being evaluated for a concussion during Sunday's game against the Chargers. Prior to his exit Sunday, Moreau did not record a catch. In his absence, Jacob Hollister is slated to handle the Raiders' tight end duties versus Los Angeles.

  • Raiders' Foster Moreau: TEs to Sit

Moreau has scored a touchdown in two of his past three games, including Week 12 at Seattle when he had three catches for 33 yards on seven targets. But I'm skeptical about starting him this week against the Chargers. The only tight ends with more than 50 receiving yards this season against the Chargers are Darren Waller, Travis Kelce and David Njoku. And Kelce and Greg Dulcich are the only tight ends with touchdowns against the Chargers. Evan Engram (1 PPR point), Noah Fant (1 PPR point), Kyle Pitts (4 PPR points) and George Kittle (3 PPR points) are some of the tight ends the Chargers have shut down this season. Moreau is only worth starting in deeper leagues.

  • Raiders' Foster Moreau: Week 13 Waiver Priority List

Moreau had a productive game against the Seahawks in Week 12 with three catches for 33 yards and a touchdown on seven targets, and he's now scored at least 12 PPR points in two of his past three games. He has a tough matchup in Week 13 against the Chargers, but Moreau can be used as a low-end starting option in deeper leagues. He's worth adding for 1 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Raiders' Foster Moreau: Hauls in clutch TD in OT win

Moreau caught three of seven targets for 33 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 40-34 overtime win over the Seahawks. The tight end had trouble converting his opportunities early, but Moreau came through when it counted, hauling in a five-yard toss from Derek Carr in the back of the end zone with just under two minutes remaining in the fourth quarter to send the game to OT. Moreau has two touchdowns on the season, both coming in the last three games, and with Darren Waller (hamstring) out for at least one more week, he'll head up the depth chart once again in Week 13 against the Chargers.

  • Raiders' Foster Moreau: Week 12 Waiver Priority List

Moreau was bad in Week 11 at Denver with one catch for 33 yards on three targets. But the reason he's mentioned here is his Week 12 matchup at Seattle. The Seahawks are No. 2 in Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends, and hopefully Moreau will take advantage of this defense and produce at a high level. He's worth trusting for at least one more week for 1 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Raiders' Foster Moreau: Bust Alert (Start/Sit)

Moreau is going to be popular this week with Darren Waller (hamstring) on injured reserve, and Moreau just scored a touchdown in Week 10 against the Colts with three catches on 43 yards with four targets. But keep in mind Moreau has played a lot this year with Waller banged up, and that was his first touchdown. It was also his first game with more than nine PPR points. The Broncos have allowed just one touchdown to a tight end since Week 1, and Waller was held to three catches for 24 yards on five targets when these team's met in Week 4.

  • Raiders' Foster Moreau: Week 11 Streamers (TE Preview)

Moreau scored his first touchdown last week and has been a top-12 tight end since Week 7. There's not much to be excited about here, but excitement is not a prerequisite to be a starting tight end with all the injuries we've had at the position.

  • Raiders' Foster Moreau: Week 11 Waiver Priority List

In the first game after Darren Waller (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve prior to Week 10, Moreau had his best outing of the season against the Colts with three catches for 43 yards and a touchdown on four targets. We hope that's a sign of things to come, although Moreau hasn't done much with Waller out prior to that, with nine PPR points in Week 8 the previous best game for Moreau. However, in deeper leagues, Moreau is worth adding to see what develops for up to 5 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Raiders' Foster Moreau: Scores first TD of year

Moreau caught three of four targets for 43 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 25-20 loss to the Colts. With Darren Waller (hamstring) on injured reserve, Moreau once again served as the Raiders' top tight end and hauled in his first TD of the year on a four-yard toss from Derek Carr in the second quarter. Moreau has caught multiple passes in six straight games, although that streak was interrupted by a two-week absence due to a knee injury, and he figures to have a larger role in the offense again in Week 11 against the Broncos.

  • Raiders' Foster Moreau: Gets longer leash as top tight end

Moreau is expected to serve as the Raiders' top tight end for at least the team's next four games with Darren Waller's (hamstring) landing on injured reserve Thursday, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports. Waller has been sidelined since exiting early in a Week 5 loss to the Chiefs with a strained left hamstring, and though he had been a limited participant in practice as recently as Wednesday, he clearly wasn't making as much progress as the Raiders had opened. Las Vegas will opt to shut Waller down for the next month with the hope that it allows him to return for the stretch run of the season in optimal health, but his continued absence in the meantime clears the way for Moreau to dominate the reps at tight end. While Waller was sidelined for the past three games, Moreau logged snap shares between 96 and 100 percent in each of those contests while stringing together a 11-101-0 receiving line on 19 targets.

  • Raiders' Foster Moreau: Week 10 Streamers (TE Preview)

Moreau's efficiency has been terrible, but with Darren Waller on the shelf for the next month, Moreau profiles as a high-end No. 2 tight end who will be top-10 if he starts scoring.
