  • Flyers' Owen Tippett: Goal streak at four games

Tippett produced a goal and an assist, both on the power play, in Saturday's 4-3 overtime win over the Golden Knights. The 24-year-old struck early and helped the Flyers build a 2-0 lead within the first minute of the second period, but that lead slipped away by the end of the frame. Tippett has found the back of the net in four straight games, racking up five goals and seven points during that surge, and on the season he's delivered 13 points (seven goals, six helpers) through 17 contests. Saturday's points were also his first of the season on the man advantage. Tippett broke out for a career-high 27 goals and 49 points in 2022-23. The 10th overall pick in the 2017 NHL Draft could top those numbers this season, especially if he continues to hold down a spot on the first power-play unit.

After he was held scoreless through his first three games of the year, Tippett's starting to heat up, logging four points (a goal and three assists) over his last four contests. • Flyers' Owen Tippett: Contributes two points Sunday

Tippett had a goal and an assist in a 5-3 loss to Boston on Sunday. Tippett was limited to one point (an assist) over his previous five outings. Despite that slump, he's had a solid campaign overall with 24 goals and 45 points in 75 contests. It's a huge jump over his 2021-22 finish of 10 goals and 21 points, though that's in large part thanks to his increased role. Tippett was limited to an average of 13:25 of ice time last season, compared to 17:19 through his first 74 outings in 2022-23.

Tippett has been slow to develop and may never live up to his 10th overall draft status (2017). But he could be a solid middle-six guy.

  • Flyers' Owen Tippett: Scores against former team

Tippett scored a goal and picked up an assist against Florida on Sunday. Tippett appears to have found his offensive game of late with two goals, 10 shots and one assist in his last four contests. With the raft of injuries for the Flyers, Tippett has been pressed into a top-six role, which likely is also contributing to his recent performances. On the year, Tippett needs to score just two more goals to match the career-best total he set last season playing for Florida and Philadelphia.

  • Flyers' Owen Tippett: Ends seven-game scoring drought

Tippett provided a goal in Monday's 5-3 win against Colorado. Tippett had been held off the scoresheet in his previous seven games, but now that he's put that prolonged cold streak behind him, perhaps the 23-year-old will start contributing offensively again. He had six goals and 10 points in his first 13 games this season, so Tippett was off to a strong start before hitting that speed bump.

Connecting directly off a faceoff, Tippett's second-period marker tied the game at 3-3.
