Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Posts 23-save shutout Monday
Hill stopped all 23 Stars shots in a 6-0 victory over Dallas in Game 6 on Monday.
After Vegas was limited to four goals over the previous two contests, Hill got plenty of offensive support Monday. As it turned out, he didn't need it. This was his second shutout over the span of just four contests. Hill has a 7-3 record, 2.07 GAA and .937 save percentage in 11 playoff appearances this year. Not bad for a 27-year-old who had no NHL postseason experience going into these playoffs and was acquired by Vegas from San Jose over the summer of 2022 for just a 2024 fourth-round pick.

Golden Knights' Adin Hill: Guarding cage Monday
Hill will get the starting nod in Dallas on Monday, Jesse Granger of The Athletic reports.
Hill posted a .949 save percentage while winning the first three games this series, but he's coughed up seven goals on 76 shots over the last two. Overall, he still owns an impressive .932 save percentage and 2.30 GAA through 10 games this postseason. The 27-year-old has stopped a combined 73 of 76 shots in his two starts in Dallas.

Hill made some remarkable stops in the contest, but the Stars' energy outpaced that of the Golden Knights. Hill's started to fade a bit, allowing seven goals on 76 shots over the last two contests, both losses. At this point, it seems like the Golden Knights are willing to roll with the 27-year-old, though a poor start in Game 6 on Monday could lead to the possibility Jonathan Quick starting between the pipes before the end of the series.

Hill saw a five-game winning streak snapped in Game 4 on Thursday, but he still put in a good effort with 39 saves on 42 shots in that overtime loss. The Golden Knights scored three times in the first 7:10 of the game, giving Hill all the support he'd need. He still turned in a strong outing, while the Vegas defense kept most of the Stars' shots away from dangerous areas. This was Hill's fifth straight win, and he's allowed just 10 goals on 173 shots in that span. He can send the Golden Knights to the Stanley Cup Finals by picking up another win Thursday in Game 4 to complete the sweep.

Through six playoff contests this year, he's 4-1 with a 2.34 GAA and .930 save percentage, and the 27-year-old's on a roll, winning three straight contests in which he's turned aside 103 of 111 shots. Thompson might be able to return at some point during the playoffs, according to Jesse Granger of The Athletic, but if Hill keeps playing like this, he might continue to start regardless.
