Penguins' Alex Nedeljkovic: On wrong side of shutout
Nedeljkovic allowed four goals on 27 shots in Friday's 4-0 loss to the Golden Knights.
Nedeljkovic took his fifth loss in a row, though this was one was due to a lack of goal support rather than just his own poor performance. The 29-year-old is down to 12-14-5 with a 3.17 GAA and an .891 save percentage through 33 outings this season. The Penguins' three-game road trip ends Sunday in Minnesota, which is still likely to be a challenging matchup for Nedeljkovic should he get the start.

Penguins' Alex Nedeljkovic: Starting against Vegas
Nedeljkovic will guard the road goal versus the Golden Knights on Friday, Penguins play-by-play announcer Josh Getzoff reports.
Nedeljkovic will look to end his four-game losing streak, a span in which he's made five appearances and allowed a total of 18 goals. The Golden Knights have won five of their last six games, and they've scored 23 goals in that span, so this is not a good matchup for fantasy managers to have Nedeljkovic active.

Penguins' Alex Nedeljkovic: Keeps it close in loss
Nedeljkovic stopped 21 of 23 shots in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to the Avalanche. The last two goals were empty-netters.
Nedeljkovic put in a respectable performance, but Casey Mittelstadt's tie-breaking power-play goal with 4:09 left was the difference. It'll go down as a fourth straight loss for Nedeljkovic, who has given up 18 goals over five appearances in that span. The 29-year-old netminder is now 12-13-5 with a 3.14 GAA and an .892 save percentage over 32 contests. While he has the benefit of a high volume of playing time, Nedeljkovic is playing on a team heading in the wrong direction, so fantasy managers looking for wins should turn elsewhere. The Penguins' road trip continues Friday in Vegas.

Penguins' Alex Nedeljkovic: Bounced by Boston
Nedeljkovic stopped 23 of 25 shots in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Bruins, with Boston's final goal getting scored into an empty net.
The Penguins dug an early 2-0 hole and didn't even get on the board until the third period, so while Nedeljkovic was able to keep his team in the game, the 29-year-old goalie still got saddled with his third straight losing decision. Over four appearances since play resumed following the 4 Nations Face-Off, Nedeljkovic has stumbled to a 5.34 GAA and .824 save percentage, which could open the door for Joel Blomqvist to get a longer look, or even for Tristan Jarry to return from the AHL.

Nedeljkovic allowed three goals on 15 shots before being pulled in the second period of Thursday's 5-4 overtime win over the Flyers.

Penguins' Alex Nedeljkovic: Hung out to dry by teammates
Nedeljkovic made 32 saves in a 6-1 loss to the Flyers on Tuesday.
This wasn't on Ned -- the Pens were soundly outplayed in every aspect of the game. They didn't win any puck battles, and they coughed up the puck far too many times. Nedeljkovic has lost both starts since the 4 Nations break, and he has allowed 11 goals. Keep him on your bench until his team figures out it's in the NHL now. He can't win the games alone.

Penguins' Alex Nedeljkovic: First goalie off Tuesday
Nedeljkovic left the ice first Tuesday, Matt Vensel of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports, indicating he'll guard the cage on the road against the Flyers.
Nedeljkovic is coming off a nightmare outing against the Capitals on Saturday in which he gave up five goals on 14 shots before being chased from the crease. Prior to the 4 Nations Face-Off, the 29-year-old backstop was putting up decent numbers, going 3-1-1 with a 1.56 GAA and one shutout in five appearances. If Nedeljkovic can put together a strong performance Tuesday, he figures to stay in the crease when the Pens face the Flyers again Thursday, this time back in Pittsburgh.

Penguins' Alex Nedeljkovic: Chased from crease
Nedeljkovic allowed five goals on 14 shots in Saturday's 8-3 loss to the Capitals.
Nedeljkovic got the hook after surrendering two goals eight seconds apart late in the second period, giving the Capitals a 5-2 lead. The 29-year-old drops to 12-10-6 in 28 appearances this season. He will be a shaky fantasy option for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign behind a struggling team that will probably be sellers at the trade deadline.

Nedeljkovic stopped 22 of 24 shots in Friday's 3-2 road win over the Rangers.

The 29-year-old netminder has a 12-9-5 record with a 2.93 GAA and a .900 save percentage. Nedeljkovic has established himself as Pittsburgh's top goaltender and is unbeaten in regulation over his past four starts. During this stretch, he has a 1.45 GAA and a .939 save percentage. Considering this momentum, Nedeljkovic has some fantasy value as a streaming option in any fantasy format.

Penguins' Alex Nedeljkovic: Falls to Devils in shootout
Nedeljkovic turned aside 19 of 21 shots in regulation and overtime and four of seven shootout attempts in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to New Jersey.
The Devils grabbed a 2-0 lead midway through the second period on Jack Hughes' second goal of the night, but Nedeljkovic was able to shut the door the rest of the way and give the Penguins a chance to force extra time. The 29-year-old goalie found less success in the shootout however, eventually getting beaten glove-side by Timo Meier in the seventh round to end it. Nedeljkovic appears to have a firm grasp of the starting job in the Pittsburgh crease right now, allowing two goals or less in six of seven starts since Jan. 17 and going 4-2-1 with a 1.84 GAA and .936 save percentage.

Penguins' Alex Nedeljkovic: Picks up first shutout
Nedeljkovic tended his first shutout of the season, stopping all 25 shots he saw in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Predators.
Saturday's performance was Nedeljkovic's best of the season and the ninth shutout of his career. The 29-year-old netminder is up to an 11-9-4 record with an .899 save percentage and a 3.02 GAA in 25 appearances. He has excelled as of late with a 4-2-0 record and 172 saves across his last six outings. For the time being, the Penguins have found a direction for their crease and will likely continue to view Nedeljkovic as their top option. His inconsistencies from earlier this season, however, make him a play suited best for deeper leagues. His next opportunity to guard the crease will be Tuesday against New Jersey.
