    Slater didn't participate in Sunday's scrimmage due to an illness, Jeff Miller of the Los Angeles Times reports. Slater was one of several Chargers players who were absent Sunday due to an illness, although it seems unlikely that his regular-season availability will be impacted. Whether he'll be able to suit up for Saturday's preseason opener against the Rams remains to be seen.

  • Chargers' Rashawn Slater: Returns from injury

    Slater (biceps) said Wednesday that he's back to feeling 100 percent after last season's injury, Eric Smith of the Chargers' official site reports. The star left tackle said he's been fully healthy "for a while" after missing the final 15 games (including playoffs) of the 2022 NFL season with a biceps injury. After an All-Pro rookie season in 2021, expect the third-year pro to return to form and shore up a Chargers offensive line that took a step back as a unit in 2022.
