Davis-Gaither's practice participation was on the downswing all week, so it's not too surprising to see him sit out his first contest of the 2023 season. His role, primarily as a special teamer, will presumably be split by committee.
Davis-Gaither (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's tilt against the Titans.
Davis-Gaither started the week as a full participant at practice before being limited Thursday and then absent Friday. Thus, he is seemingly trending in the wrong direction. His status for Sunday is unlikely to be determined until he meets with the training staff that morning. Markus Bailey, Devin Harper and Joe Bachie would be candidates to see increased snaps if he is ultimately unable to go.

Davis-Gaither seems to be trending in the wrong direction to play, as he missed practice Friday after logging limited participation Thursday. The 26-year-old was able to play through his knee injury during Week 3, but if he were to miss this Sunday's contest, Markus Bailey would likely see an uptick in work as the team's strongside linebacker.

Davis-Gaither (knee) does not carry an injury designation ahead of Monday's matchup against the Rams.
Davis-Gaither did not participate in Saturday's practice after being limited Friday but appears to be good to go for Week 3. He had two solo tackles in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Ravens.
Davis-Gaither (foot) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday as a result of testing positive for the virus, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Davis-Gaither was already out for the season due to a foot injury suffered in Week 9 against Cleveland. He'll need to clear protocols before returning to the Bengals' facilities to continue rehabbing for a return in 2022.
