Indianaplis waived Odenigbo on Tuesday, JJ Stankevitz of the team's official site reports. • Colts' Ifeadi Odenigbo: Signs with Colts

Odenigbo is signing a deal with Indianapolis on Monday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports. Odenigbo will join his fourth NFL team as he heads into his fifth season as a pro. He exploded for seven sacks in just 372 snaps during his age-25 season with the Vikings, but he's been relatively quiet since then, recording just 3.5 sacks over his last 852 snaps. He'll work as a depth option behind Kwity Paye and Yannick Ngakoue in 2022.

  • Browns' Ifeadi Odenigbo: Signs with active roster

The Browns signed Odenigbo to the active roster Tuesday. Odenigbo served as a solid edge rusher for the Vikings over the past two seasons, recording 58 tackles and 10.5 sacks. He'll add depth at linebacker after Anthony Walker (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve.

  • Giants' Ifeadi Odenigbo: Joining Big Blue

Odenigbo (chest) agreed Wednesday with the Giants on a one-year deal, according to his agency, Team IFA. The 26-year-old spent the past two seasons in Minnesota and totaled 35 tackles (16 solo) and 3.5 sacks across 15 games in 2020. Odenigbo should at least work as a rotational edge rusher for the Giants in 2021.

  • Vikings' Ifeadi Odenigbo: Ruled out ahead of Week 17

Odenigbo (chest) has been ruled out for the Vikings' Week 17 matchup against Detroit. Odenigbo powered through an ankle injury to make his 15th start of the season last Friday during a Christmas afternoon loss to the Saints. The same can't be said for the 26-year-old's chest issue, however, as Sunday he'll be forced to miss his first game over two seasons as a Viking. Odenigbo registered 15 QB hits this season to mark a new career high, though his 3.5 sacks represent a step down from the output of seven he amassed a year ago.

  • Vikings' Ifeadi Odenigbo: Ready for Week 12

Odenigbo (shoulder/concussion) will play in Sunday's game against the Panthers. Odenigbo has cleared the league's five-step concussion protocol and will avoid missing his first game since the 2018 season. The 26-year-old defensive end has started every game this season, generating 15 quarterback pressures and 2.5 sacks. He'll get a decent matchup in Week 12, as Teddy Bridgewater will be under center. Bridgewater has been sacked on 5.4 percent of dropbacks this season, and he's returning after missing last week's game with a sprained MCL.

  • Vikings' Ifeadi Odenigbo: Sits out practice Wednesday

Odenigbo (shoulder/concussion) didn't participate in Wednesday's practice. Odenigbo was on the injury report with a shoulder issue for the last two weeks but didn't miss a practice. However, the fourth-year defensive end has been placed in the league's five-step concussion protocol, putting his Week 12 status into question. He'll need to return to the practice field by Friday to have a chance to play against the Panthers on Sunday.

  • Vikings' Ifeadi Odenigbo: Unproductive in starting assignment

Odenigbo started at defensive end but did not have a tackle and recorded one QB hurry in Sunday's loss at Green Bay. Odenigbo struggled as the defensive line failed to generate any pass rush against the Packers in a 43-34 loss. Odenigbo moved into the starting lineup with Danielle Hunter's neck injury, but didn't show much despite showing a spark in limited time last year. The 2017 seventh-round pick piled up 23 tackles and seven sacks in 2019, despite averaging just 23.3 snaps per game over 16 contests.

  • Vikings' Ifeadi Odenigbo: Will start against Packers

Odenigbo was named a starting DE following the news that Danielle Hunter (undisclosed) will be placed on IR, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Hunter will miss at least three weeks, so Odenigbo has quite the opportunity to start opposite Yannick Ngakoue on the Vikings' defensive line. Odenigbo worked in a pass-rushing role in 2019 and averaged just 23.3 snaps per game over 16 contests, but he made the most of the limited usage. The 2017 seventh-round pick piled up 23 tackles and seven sacks, ranking third on the team in the latter category.

  • Vikings' Ifeadi Odenigbo: Notches seven sacks in 2019

Odenigbo recorded 23 tackles (18 solo), seven sacks, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries -- one of which he returned for a touchdown -- across 16 regular-season contests in 2019. Odenigbo appeared in just one NFL game during the first two years of his career, but he found success as a rotational pass rusher with the Vikings in 2019. The Northwestern product will return in 2020, and he could be in line for a larger role should the team elect to move on from Everson Griffen.

  • Vikings' Ifeadi Odenigbo: Questionable for Sunday

Odenigbo (hamstring) is officially listed as questionable for Sunday's wild-card game against the Saints. Odenigbo plays a key rotational role along Minnesota's defensive line. If he were forced to sit out Sunday's wild-card tilt in New Orleans, Stephen Weatherly (illness) could be in line for an uptick in snaps if healthy.

Odenigbo played 12 snaps on defense in Sunday's win over Atlanta. He had one QB hurry, according to Pro Football Focus. It looks like he's found a place on the roster, but he will be a deep reserve at defensive end.
