  • Commanders' Jamison Crowder: Joining active roster

The Commanders plan to sign Crowder to their active roster, Nicki Jhabvala of The Washington Post reports.

Crowder just joined the Commanders' practice squad Wednesday, but with Dax Milne (groin) unable to play Sunday against the Cardinals, the veteran receiver was elevated to the active roster Saturday. He never saw the field on offense, but he did handle punt return duties, gaining 10 yards on three attempts. Now that he's in line to join the 53-man roster, he should maintain that role Sunday against the Broncos.

  • Commanders' Jamison Crowder: Moves to active roster

Crowder was elevated from the Commanders' practice squad Saturday.

  • Jamison Crowder: Joins Washington's practice squad

Washington signed Crowder to its practice squad Wednesday.

Crowder reunites with the Commanders, where he began his NFL career as a fourth-round pick back in 2015. He spent time in training camp with the Giants but was limited due to a calf injury before being cut loose last week. A broken ankle limited him to just four games with the Bills last season.

  • Giants' Jamison Crowder: Expected to be gone

The Giants are planning to release Crowder on Tuesday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.

Crowder hasn't had much luck since departing the Jets, where he was a steady producer for several years. After a broken ankle limited him to just four games with the Bills in 2022, he has spent a portion of the 2023 training camp with the Giants limited by a calf injury. Assuming he does end up being released, the veteran wideout will likely work to pursue a new opportunity.

  • Giants' Jamison Crowder: Cleared for camp

Crowder (calf) will come off the active/non-football injury list Sunday according to head coach Brian Daboll, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.

Crowder started camp on the NFI list, but he'll now be able to practice with the team. After an injury-plagued 2022 season in Buffalo during which he was limited to four games, Crowder will work to earn a role in the Giants' receiving corps and put together a bounce-back campaign.

  • Giants' Jamison Crowder: Starts camp on NFI

The Giants placed Crowder (calf) on the active/non-football injury list Tuesday, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.

This would seem to suggest Crowder injured his calf while away from the team sometime between spring work and the start of training camp. He can be activated at any time. Crowder broke his ankle in Week 4 of last season with the Bills and missed the rest of the year. He inked a one-year deal with the Giants in the offseason and isn't guaranteed a roster spot, so the veteran slot man needs to get healthy.
