  • Brett Hundley: Moves back to practice squad

Hundley reverted to the Ravens' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Hundley joined Baltimore's practice squad Dec. 5 and was elevated for the first time ahead of Sunday's loss to the Bengals. The veteran signal-caller did not wind up seeing the field as the No. 2 quarterback behind rookie Anthony Brown, the latter drawing the start with Lamar Jackson (knee) and Tyler Huntley (shoulder) both inactive. Hundley could be elevated again if Jackson and Huntley both remain sidelined for this coming Sunday's rematch against Cincinnati in the wild-card round of the playoffs.

  • Ravens' Brett Hundley: Elevated from Week 18

Hundley was elevated to the Ravens' active roster Saturday, Field Yates of ESPN reports. With Lamar Jackson (knee) already ruled out and nominal backup Tyler Huntley (shoulder) questionable, Hundley could immediately join the roster as the backup to third-stringer Anthony Brown. Fantasy managers should stay tuned to the status of Huntley prior to the team's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff, particularly with plenty of playoff seeding implications on the line for the Ravens.

  • Brett Hundley: Joining Ravens' practice squad

Baltimore signed Hundley to its practice squad Monday, Field Yates of ESPN reports. With star signal caller Lamar Jackson's (knee) status up in the air, the Ravens saw fit to bring Hundley on board to provide some emergency depth at quarterback. Unless Jackson and Tyler Huntley are both sidelined simultaneously at any point, Hundley should remain on the sidelines.

  • Brett Hundley: Time in New Orleans ends

Hundley was cut from the Saints' practice squad Tuesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports. Hundley's time with New Orleans was short, as he signed with their practice squad Wednesday. The veteran quarterback will now work to find a new opportunity.

  • Brett Hundley: Joins New Orleans' practice squad

The Saints signed Hundley to their practice squad Wednesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports. Hundley hasn't appeared in a regular-season game since 2019 with Arizona, but he continues to bounce around the league on practice-squad deals. Andy Dalton and Jameis Winston were both active for Week 8, so Hundley will likely just serve as an emergency option.

The Ravens released Hundley on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports. Hundley was cut by the Ravens on Tuesday in order for the team to get its roster down to 85 players. The veteran's release comes just a few months after the quarterback was signed as an extra arm for offseason workouts. Hundley will look to earn his spot on the roster of a team looking for depth at the quarterback position ahead of the 2022 season.

  • Brett Hundley: Returns to Colts' practice squad

Hundley reverted to the Indianapolis practice squad Monday. Hundley was added to the roster ahead of Week 17 in case Carson Wentz wasn't able to make it back from the COVID list in time. The 28-year-old last saw NFL action in 2019 with the Cardinals.

  • Colts' Brett Hundley: Inactive Sunday

Hundley (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Raiders. Hundley had been moved up the active roster from the practice squad, with Carson Wentz' status for Sunday up in the air due to him being in COVID protocols. Hundley reverted to Indianapolis' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's official transaction log. • Brett Hundley: Will operate as backup Sunday

The Colts plan to elevate Hundley from the practice squad to serve as the No. 2 quarterback behind Carson Wentz in Sunday's game against the Dolphins, Mike Wells of ESPN.com reports. Hundley previously served as the backup quarterback during the Week 3 loss to the Titans while Wentz played through a pair of sprained ankles. Wentz appears to have avoided any setbacks coming out of that contest, but Hundley is still on track to receive another promotion to the roster ahead of the weekend. The Colts seemingly view Hundley as a more NFL-ready option than 2020 fourth-round pick Jacob Eason.

  • Brett Hundley: Reverts back to practice squad

Hundley reverted back to Indianapolis' practice squad Monday, per the NFL's transaction log. Hundley was active for Sunday's contest, but he didn't see the field as Carson Wentz played through a pair of sprained ankles. The Colts appeared to favor Hundley over Jacob Eason as the primary backup, so the UCLA product may get another shot on the 53-man roster by the end of the season.

  • Brett Hundley: Small chance for spot start

The Colts have prepared Hundley to start Sunday at Tennessee if Wentz (ankles) is unable to play, Albert Breer of SI.com reports. Wentz emerged from Week 2 with a pair of sprained ankles, and as the week progressed and he didn't take the practice field, Hundley and not Jacob Eason took on most of the first-team reps. The development was an interesting one, with Hundley on the practice squad and Eason, a 2020 fourth-round pick, on the active roster. Because Wentz is a game-time decision for Sunday, the Colts likely will elevate Hundley on Saturday as insurance for Week 3, even if Wentz ends up being active. And if Hundley gets the start, it'll mark his first since Week 17 of the 2017 campaign as a member of the Packers. In seven starts that season, he averaged 186.6 passing yards per game, had an 8:9 TD:INT and racked up 267 yards and two more scores on the ground.

  • Brett Hundley: May bump up from practice squad

The Colts will likely elevate Hundley from the practice squad if Carson Wentz (ankles) is unable to suit up for Sunday's matchup against the Titans, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports. Hundley has nine career NFL starts under his belt and thus boasts more experience than 2020 fourth-round pick Jacob Eason, but it looks like Hundley would only be bound for backup duties in the event that Wentz is ruled out for Week 3. Still, head coach Frank Reich declined to officially name Hundley or Eason as the favorite for a spot start if Wentz can't go, so Indianapolis' quarterback situation will warrant monitoring in deeper fantasy formats, especially two-QB or superflex leagues.

  • Brett Hundley: Back on practice squad

The Colts signed Hundley to the practice squad Wednesday, Joel A. Erickson of The Indianapolis Star reports. Hundley will be available as an emergency quarterback option for the Colts, which is particularly noteworthy with Sam Ehlinger (knee) set to miss up to six weeks. The 28-year-old signal-caller didn't suit up for a single game in 2020.

Hundley was waived by the Colts on Tuesday, Jim Ayello of The Indianapolis Star reports. It's the latest sign the team expects Carson Wentz (foot) to be ready for Week 1. Wentz, Jacob Eason and Sam Ehlinger (knee) are the remaining quarterbacks on the roster, with Ehlinger expected to be out until October. Meanwhile, Hundley could be a match for the Colts' practice squad if he isn't claimed off waivers by another team.

  • Seahawks' Brett Hundley: Signing with Cardinals

Hundley is expected to sign a one-year contract with the Cardinals, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Hundley didn't see the field for a single snap while backing up Russell Wilson in 2018. He'll figure to compete for a backup role behind starting quarterback Josh Rosen while in Arizona.

  • Seahawks' Brett Hundley: No offensive reps in 2018

Hundley didn't record an offensive snap in 2018. The Seahawks sent a sixth-round pick to Green Bay in exchange for Hundley in August but he wasn't needed, as Russell Wilson played every game for the seventh straight season. Hundley will become an unrestricted free agent in March and projects as a serviceable backup quarterback wherever he lands.

  • Packers' Brett Hundley: Scores on ground in preseason game

Hundley completed six of nine passes for 77 yards and had two carries for 12 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's preseason game against the Steelers. Hundley was the first quarterback to see action after Aaron Rodgers led the first drive, and he was effective while playing three series, leading the Packers to points on each occasion. Hundley and fellow reserve quarterback DeShone Kizer have both played well during the preseason and continue to compete for the backup spot behind Rodgers.

  • Packers' Brett Hundley: Looks good in preseason start

Hundley started Thursday's preseason win over the Titans and completed nine of 14 passes for 108 yards. He tossed a touchdown and also threw an interception in the contest. With Aaron Rodgers being held out, Hundley got the nod over fellow quarterback DeShone Kizer, and it was a successful night outside of the interception and a fumble, which the Packers recovered. Hundley made several quality throws, including a perfect 48-yard bomb to Davante Adams to set up the Packers' first score of the night. Kizer also played well, and the two remain essentially neck-and-neck to open the season in the backup spot, with Hundley holding the slight edge given his experience in the Packers' system.
