Ohgren was quiet in his debut Friday versus the Golden Knights but made up for it with a strong showing in his second game. The winger helped out on a Declan Chisholm tally in the first period, and his first NHL goal at 14:23 of the second stood as the game-winner. Ohgren is likely to close out the campaign in a middle-six role for the Wild, and he's in a good position to compete for an NHL job in training camp ahead of the 2024-25 season.

Ohgren has no points in three games with AHL Iowa this season. He started the campaign with Farjestads BK Karlstad of the Swedish Hockey League, picking up 12 goals and 19 points across 26 contests. Ohgren was selected with the No. 19 overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft. He might make his NHL debut Friday versus Vegas, perhaps while serving in a middle-six capacity.

Ohgren was assigned to the AHL's Iowa Wild on Tuesday.
Ohgren recorded 12 goals and seven assists in the Swedish Elite League to go along with being the captain of Team Sweden in the World Juniors. The first-round pick is likely to make his NHL debut either in what remains of this season or during the 2024-25 campaign.
