Durandeau could make his NHL debut Monday against Boston, with Mathew Barzal (undisclosed) listed as day-to-day. The 24-year-old Durandeau has 13 goals and 20 assists in 48 games with AHL Bridgeport this season. He'd likely slot into a bottom-six role with New York.

Durandeau was waived by the Islanders on Wednesday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Durandeau, who was selected in the sixth round of the 2017 Entry Draft, has yet to make his NHL debut. He'll almost certainly spend most, if not all of the 2022-23 season in the minors.
