Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Stays perfect Monday
Ersson stopped 32 of 35 shots in Monday's 4-3 win over the Flames.
Ersson, making his first NHL start since Jan. 17, held Calgary to one goal through the first two periods before allowing a pair in the third. The Flyers would hang on for a one-goal win, despite being outshot 35-to-22. The 23-year-old Errson improves to 6-0-0 with a .913 save percentage to start his career. He could be in line for an extended look in Philadelphia if Carter Hart continues to struggle.

Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Makes relief appearance
Ersson stopped nine of 11 shots in relief of Carter Hart in Thursday's 6-2 loss to the Kraken.
By the time Ersson entered the contest, the Kraken already held a 4-0 lead. The 23-year-old did alright -- there was no stopping Yanni Gourde's power-play tally, and Matty Beniers scored on a breakaway off a turnover. Ersson still has yet to lose at the NHL level. He's 5-0-0 with a 2.50 GAA and a .913 save percentage through eight appearances. The Flyers are currently carrying three goalies on their active roster, so it's unclear if Ersson will get a chance to start in Vancouver, Calgary or Edmonton during the remainder of the road trip.

Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Needed in relief Monday
Ersson gave up two goals on 13 shots after replacing Carter Hart midway through the second period of Monday's 6-0 loss to the Bruins.
Coach John Tortorella made the switch in net to try and inject some life into his squad, but the move didn't work as Boston methodically scored two goals in every period, including two against Ersson in the third. The rookie netminder has won four straight starts and sports a 2.44 GAA and .917 save percentage through his first six NHL appearances, and Ersson seems likely to get the nod for Tuesday's home game against the Ducks.

Ersson's first career shutout was impressive, turning aside 28 shots against a Buffalo team that had scored 11 goals over their previous two games. The rookie netminder has had an excellent start to his NHL career as he improves to 4-0-0 with a .924 save percentage through his first five appearances. Ersson has already earned the backup role over Felix Sandstrom, and he could see additional starting opportunities with Carter Hart struggling in Philly.

Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Wins again Monday
Ersson stopped 28 of 29 shots in Monday's 4-1 win over the Ducks.
Ersson was denied his first shutout as Ryan Strome scored with just 40 seconds left in the game. It was still a third straight win for Ersson, though he's taken down the Sharks, Kings and Ducks on the Flyers' road trip -- that's not exactly the most intimidating set of opponents. He's allowed just six goals over his three starts after giving up five in a relief appearance versus the Hurricanes in his debut. When Carter Hart (concussion) returns, the Flyers may have a tough choice to make between Ersson and Felix Sandstrom for the backup role.

Ersson stopped 27-of-29 shots Saturday in a 4-2 victory over Los Angeles.

Flyers' Samuel Ersson: Earns first NHL win
Ersson allowed three goals on 28 shots in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Sharks.
Ersson looked to be on track to take his first loss for much of the contest. He got a little help from his offense late, as Travis Konecny tied the game with 2:05 left in the third period and Tony DeAngelo completed the Flyers' comeback 1:10 into overtime. With eight goals allowed on 58 shots over his first two appearances, Ersson's performance so far hasn't been much to write home about. His stay with the big club could be short if Carter Hart (concussion) returns as expected Saturday versus the Kings.
