Canadiens' Anthony Richard: Tallies in loss
Richard scored a goal on one shot and assisted on another in Thursday's 9-5 loss to Florida. He added one hit and two penalty minutes over 10:26 of ice time
Richard recorded his first multi-point game since joining Montreal. After dogged forecheck work by the fourth line, Richard gained control of the puck, spun around and fired one off a post that Sergei Bobrovsky never saw. It was the second goal in as many games for Richard, who is up with Montreal following a knee injury suffered by Christian Dvorak. He later added an assist on Michael Pezzetta's tally.... Richard showed a scoring touch in the AHL before a recent callup to Montreal and could be in line for steady playing time. Montreal head coach Martin St. Louis scratched Joel Armia on Tuesday, and the coach has no shortage of unproductive forwards.... See More ... See Less
Canadiens' Anthony Richard: Scores first NHL goal
Richard scored a goal on his lone shot on net in Montreal's 2-1 overtime loss to Colorado on Wednesday. He added one hit and two penalty minutes over 9:44 of ice time.
Richard's marker came just 1:48 into the game, but Montreal didn't build off that early edge. It was his first goal in two contests this season, as well as his first career NHL point. His hooking penalty early in the third period led to Colorado's power-play goal that tied the contest. Unlike his first game, when Richard skated at times on the second line, he remained on the fourth line Wednesday. Unless Montreal gives Richard a bigger role, the 26-year-old shouldn't be expected to make regular offensive contributions.... See More ... See Less

Canadiens' Anthony Richard: Grabs two-way pact
Richard penned a one-year, two-way contract with the Habs on Wednesday.
Richard played in 71 minor-league games last year for the Admirals and Crunch in which he tallied 17 goals and 21 helpers. The 25-year-old center's last NHL appearance came back in 2019-20 with the Predators and has logged just one other NHL game in his career. As such, fantasy players should probably anticipate Richard once again ending up in the minors for the bulk, if not all, of the upcoming season.... See More ... See Less

The Predators re-assigned Richard to AHL Milwaukee on Sunday.
The 22-year-old got one game with the big club in his time, accumulating two shots and was a minus-1 in the contest. Predators' Anthony Richard: Rises to big club
The Predators recalled Richard from AHL Milwaukee on Saturday.
With Filip Forsberg (lower body) still on the mend, Richard has a good chance to crack the lineup immediately Saturday against the Lightning. He's expected to slot onto the fourth line for his second career NHL game. The 22-year-old only has two points through seven AHL games this year, so his fantasy upside is low with limited minutes on tap.... See More ... See Less
