Aho notched a goal and added an assist in Monday's 5-3 win over the Islanders in Game 2.
Aho tied the game 3-3 with 2:15 remaining in the third period, deflecting an Andrei Svechnikov shot past Semyon Varlamov, before adding a second point with an assist on Jake Guentzel's empty-netter later in the frame. The 26-year-old Aho was red hot down the stretch in Carolina, tallying 11 goals and 21 points in his final 15 regular-season contests. He posted a career-high 89 points (36 goals, 53 assists) across 78 games.

Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Back at practice
Aho (rest) returned to practice Friday ahead of Saturday's clash with the Islanders, Walt Ruff of the Hurricanes' official site reports.
Aho went on a heater in his last 15 outings of the regular season, racking up 11 goals and 10 assists, including seven power-play points. After sitting out one game to prepare for the playoffs, Aho will rejoin Jake Guentzel and Seth Jarvis on the first line in addition to linking up with the No. 1 power-play unit against the Islanders on Saturday.

Aho tied a career high in assists (53) with the latest apple, and the playoff-bound Hurricanes, winners of four straight contests, are looking very sharp with a pair of games remaining in the regular season. This has been Aho's best NHL campaign, as the prolific eighth-year forward is sporting 88 points -- including 32 power-play points and a whopping 10 game-winning goals -- through 77 contests. The Finn will be a popular target in playoff pools since he's playing so well, plus this will mark Aho's sixth straight postseason showing as the Hurricanes have been quite competitive over that span. He has 23 goals and 35 assists through 63 postseason games.

Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Model of offensive consistency
Aho had a goal and two assists in a 4-0 win over Detroit on Thursday.
The goal was Aho's 32nd of the season and came on a redirection at the left post early in the second period. The goal was his 250th in the NHL, and his 83 points this season tie his career mark set in 2018-19. Aho is one of the more consistent stars in the NHL, having potted 29 or more goals in six of his last seven seasons. Howerver, his commitment to two-way team play has kept him from exploding offensively, which is likely the only reason he's a top-13 scorer instead of someone consistently flirting with the top five. Still, Aho is an excellent fantasy producer and a leader on the ice.

Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Hat trick not enough Friday
Aho scored three goals in Friday's 7-6 shootout loss to the Capitals.
The 26-year-old put together his eighth career hat trick and first of the season with a goal in each period, including the tying tally with just over two minutes left in the third period to earn Carolina a point in the standings. Aho reached 30 goals on the season with the eruption while extending his personal point streak to five games, a stretch in which he's collected five goals and 11 points. With 79 points through 68 contests, Aho is five points away from a new career high.

It's the second straight three-point performance from Aho and his third in five games. Both points came in the second period as the Hurricanes surged out to a 3-0 lead, but the third frame belonged to the Jets. It's only Aho's second multi-point performance in the last 15 games, but he's stayed productive with eight goals and 11 points over that stretch. Saturday's goal was the 24th of the season for the 26-year-old winger, a mark he's reached in each of his eight NHL campaigns.

Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Pots seventh game-winner
Aho scored his 21st goal of the season in Thursday's 1-0 win over the Panthers.
The 26-year-old didn't wait for overtime to deliver his seventh game-winning goal of 2023-24, but he maintained his flair for the dramatic -- Aho jumped on a loose puck in the slot, spun around and went top shelf past Sergei Bobrovsky with only 19 seconds left in the third period. Aho is up to 21 goals and 60 points through 53 games this season, and Thursday's tally was the 52nd GWG of his career, putting him only five back of Hall of Famer Ron Francis for the all-time franchise lead. Francis needed 1,186 career games in a Whalers or Hurricanes sweater to accumulate his 57 winners, while Aho's racked up his in less than half that time (573 games).

Hurricanes' Sebastian Aho: Scores in overtime
Aho potted the only goal of the game in Saturday's 1-0 overtime win over the Devils.
It was a classic goaltending duel all night between Pyotr Kochetkov and Vitek Vanecek, one that seemed destined for a shootout until Aho decided to change that. After dropping the puck for Martin Necas, he cut across the grain and fired a shot on Vanecek. The puck rebounded off the netminder's shoulder and sat floating until Aho batted out of the air and into the net. Aho added three shots on goal, and a plus-1 rating in 22:40 TOI to lead all forwards. The 26-year old center is now on a modest three-game point streak.
