Blues' Sammy Blais: Ends goal drought
Blais scored a goal and added two hits in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Wild.
Blais opened the scoring at 5:19 of the first period with his first goal in eight games. Over that span, he also produced six assists, remaining productive in a middle-six role. The winger has nine goals, 25 points, 69 shots on net, 228 hits and a plus-4 rating through 69 contests between the Blues and the Rangers this season.

Blues' Sammy Blais: Adds two more helpers Sunday
Blais logged a pair of assists in Sunday's 7-6 loss to Los Angeles.
Blais set up Brandon Saad's power-play marker in the first period before adding a second assist on Pavel Buchnevich's goal in the second. The 26-year-old Blais has points in four straight contests, tallying two goals and four assists in that span. Since returning to St. Louis, he's recorded eight goals and 15 points in 22 games after logging just five assists in 40 games with the Rangers. Blais should continue to offer some upside down the stretch while playing a middle-six role with St. Louis.

Blues' Sammy Blais: Productive in win
Blais scored a goal on four shots, dished an assist, added four PIM and blocked two shots in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Ducks.
Blais had a strong all-around game from his third-line role. The 26-year-old winger has racked up six goals and four helpers over his last nine contests. He's up to 18 points, 62 shots on net, 202 hits and a plus-1 rating through 61 outings between the Blues and the Rangers this season.

Blues' Sammy Blais: Contributes two markers
Blais provided two goals in the Blues' 5-2 victory over Washington on Friday.
Blais certainly isn't known for games like this. Through 57 appearances in 2022-23, he's contributed six goals and 14 points. The 26-year-old also has only 23 goals in 190 career contests, but he's been finding the back of the net lately, providing four markers -- along with two assists -- over his last five games. It helps that Blais averaged 14:55 of ice time over four contests from March 9-15 and logged 13:29 versus Washington, which is up from just 10:36 over his first 52 outings.

Blues' Sammy Blais: Putting Rangers funk behind him
Blais had a goal and two assists in a 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets on Saturday.
Blais has four goals (seven points) in 14 games since returning to the Blues from the Rangers on Feb. 9. He played 54 games over two seasons with New York and didn't notch a goal. The line of Blais, Brandon Saad and Brayden Schenn combined for seven points (two goals, five assists) and was the Blues' best trio all night.

Blais netted a goal in Thursday's 4-2 win over San Jose.

Blues' Sammy Blais: Inks one-year extension
Blais signed a one-year, $1 million contract extension with St. Louis on Thursday.
Blais has appeared in 49 games split between the Rangers and the Blues this season, picking up two goals, eight points and 153 hits over that span. He should continue to deliver plenty of hits while skating in a bottom-six role for St. Louis in 2023-24, but don't expect him to produce much offense.

Blues' Sammy Blais: Punishing effort
Blais posted two shots on net and five hits in the 5-3 loss to the Kraken on Tuesday.
The Blues traded heavy hitter Ivan Barbashev to the Golden Knights on Sunday, so having Blais back in the Blue Note is a welcomed addition. He has posted two goals, an assist and 34 hits over nine games with the team while skating in a third-line role. The 26-year-old is also playing on the second power-play unit, so he'll have some DFS appeal moving forward.

Blues' Sammy Blais: Should be fine after early exit
Blais was pulled from the third period of Thursday's game versus the Devils, but head coach Craig Berube expects the winger to be fine, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.
Blais received a hit to the head and was checked for a concussion, but it appears he has avoided a serious injury. Fantasy managers may still want to check his status ahead of Saturday's game versus the Avalanche.

Blues' Sammy Blais: Opens second stint with goal
Blais scored a goal on three shots, logged three hits and added two PIM in Saturday's 6-5 overtime win over the Coyotes.
Blais began his second stint with the Blues in style, scoring a game-tying goal in the second period. He had been far less successful recently with the Rangers -- he closed out his time on Broadway with a 19-game point drought, and he never scored a goal in 54 appearances with the Blueshirts. Blais spent four seasons in the NHL with the Blues to begin his career before he was dealt to New York ahead of the 2021-22 season. The 26-year-old winger has six points, 34 shots, 122 hits and a plus-1 rating through 41 contests this season, though his bottom-six role will likely keep him off the fantasy radar.

Blues' Sammy Blais: Rejoining former club
Blais was shipped back to the Blues from the Rangers on Thursday in exchange for Vladimir Tarasenko and Niko Mikkola. In addition to Blais, the Blues also acquired Hunter Skinner, a conditional 2023 first-round pick and a conditional 2024 fourth-round pick.
It's been a disappointing season for Blais in New York, as he has failed to find the back of the net in 40 games and has frequently been a healthy scratch of late. With his return to St. Louis, the 26-year-old winger no doubt hopes to rekindle the form that saw him score eight goals and seven assists in 36 contests during his final year in St. Louis.

Blais was recalled from his conditioning stint with AHL Hartford on Saturday, according to AHL reporter Ricky Milliner.

Rangers' Sammy Blais: Sent on conditioning assignment
Blais (not injury related) was assigned to AHL Hartford for conditioning on Tuesday.
Blais has been a healthy scratch for three of the Rangers' last six games, so he'll head to the minors to get some significant playing time before presumably rejoining the big club in the near future. He's picked up five helpers through 38 top-level appearances this year.

Rangers' Sammy Blais: Quiet in homecoming
Blais had one shot, one hit and a minus-1 rating in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Canadiens.
The Quebecois winger didn't make much of an impact in Montreal. Blais last recorded a point Nov. 30, and he has just five assists in 34 goalless games while skating on the fourth line.

Rangers' Sammy Blais: Throws body around against NJ
Blais dished out three hits in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Devils.
The hits were his only meaningful statistics in a team-low 8:13 of ice time. Blais isn't afraid to throw his body around, but his lack of ice time and limited scoring touch cap his fantasy appeal. The former Blues winger has yet to light the lamp through 41 games in a Rangers uniform.
