Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Hands out helper in win
Mangiapane notched a power-play assist and went minus-2 in Friday's 5-3 win over the Blackhawks.
Mangiapane snapped a four-game slump with his secondary assist on Alex Ovechkin's record-tying 894th career goal. That's a little piece of history for Mangiapane to remember. The 29-year-old winger has mostly played in a bottom-six role with power-play time this year, racking up 27 points, 87 shots on net, 67 hits, 22 PIM and a plus-7 rating over 75 appearances. Barring a late push, he's set to miss the 30-point mark for the first time since 2018-19.

Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Third straight game with goal
Mangiapane scored a goal in Tuesday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Jets.
Mangiapane found the back of the net with a wrister at the 19:20 mark of the first period for his 14th goal of the season. Perhaps even more importantly, this was his third consecutive game lighting the lamp. Mangiapane has recorded 26 points in 70 appearances this season, so he hasn't been a very reliable fantasy performer, but there's no question he's ending the regular season on a strong note.

Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Tallies goal Saturday
Mangiapane scored a goal and tallied three shots on net in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Panthers.
Mangiapane's goal was the final of six tallies put away but the Capitals and the third of three goals scored in the first six minutes of the second period. Overall, the 28-year-old Mangiapane is up to 13 goals, 25 points and 82 shots on net in 69 appearances this season. He has goals in back-to-back games for the Capitals and is showing encouraging flashes on offense. Mangiapane has good natural scoring instincts and an above-average shot, with double-digit goals on just 82 shots on goal. While his upside is limited in a third-line role, he is one of many Capitals who can provide solid value down the stretch in fantasy.

Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Snaps 15-game goal drought
Mangiapane scored a goal Thursday in a 3-2 win over Philadelphia.
Mangiapane's goal pushed the score to 3-0 in the second period when he converted a pass across the slot on a 2-on-1. It snapped a 15-game goal drought for the winger. Mangiapane hasn't found the magic in Washington that he had in Calgary, but that's not really a surprise. The Flames' lack of depth moved him up a thin lineup, but in the Caps' system, he's deployed to his strengths on the third line. The Toronto native has 12 goals, 12 assists, 79 shots and 57 hits in 68 games.

Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Nabs assist in win
Mangiapane recorded an assist in Friday's 5-2 win over the Red Wings.
Mangiapane has a helper in each of the last two contests after enduring a five-game point drought. He's gone 10 contests without a goal, and scoring is likely to get tougher for him after the Capitals' lone deadline-day trade brought in a similar middle-six scoring winger in Anthony Beauvillier. Mangiapane has had a tough year in a bottom-six role with 22 points, 72 shots on net, 54 hits and a plus-8 rating through 62 appearances while averaging just 13:07 of ice time per game.

Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Slings helper Saturday
Mangiapane tallied an assist and added two shots during Saturday's 8-3 win over the Penguins.
Mangiapane has gone quiet of late, with just two goals and four points over his last 14 games. The 28-year-old has not been the offensive catalyst the Capitals hoped for after being acquired from Calgary in an offseason trade. Still, Mangiapane has produced enough to keep a bottom-six role on the high-octane Capitals, even though he seems unlikely to post a fourth consecutive 40-point campaign buried down Washington's depth chart.

Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Supplies two points
Mangiapane tallied a goal, an assist, a plus-2 rating and two shots during Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Panthers.
Mangiapane had gone nine games without a point before filling the scoresheet in Tuesday's victory over the defending Stanley Cup champions. The 28-year-old has posted 19 points in 52 games but is currently slotted on the fourth line alongside Brandon Duhaime and Nic Dowd, which isn't likely to do wonders for Mangiapane's fantasy value.

Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Nets goal in victory
Mangiapane scored a goal on his only shot and went plus-1 Saturday in a 4-1 win over Nashville.
Mangiapane scored his 10th goal of the season at 14:54 of the final frame to put Washington up 3-1. It was Mangiapane's first point in four games, and he's provided modest production in January with two goals and one assist through six games. The Ontario native is slotting in on the fourth line role in addition to the No. 2 power-play unit, and through 42 outings, Mangiapane has contributed 10 goals, seven helpers and a plus-5 rating.

Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Posts two points
Magiapane tallied a goal, a power-play assist and two hits during Saturday's 7-4 win over the Rangers.
Mangiapane continues his hot streak that began in mid-December, having managed three goals and six points in his last nine games. The 28-year-old will need a more offensive role in the back half of the season if he hopes to hit the 40-point mark for a fourth straight season. Mangiapane has nine goals and 16 points through 38 games in the 2024-25 campaign.

Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Notches two points
Mangiapane tallied a goal, an assist and a plus-2 rating during Saturday's 5-2 win over the Maple Leafs.
The multi-point outing brings Mangiapane to two goals and four points over his last five games. Despite the recent success, Mangiapane has managed just six goals and 14 points in 34 appearances this season and will likely need a promotion to one of the top-scoring lines to be of much benefit to fantasy managers outside of deeper leagues.

Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Notches apple in victory
Mangiapane collected an assist in Friday's 3-1 win over Carolina.
Mangiapane registered the primary helper on Aliaksei Protas' 12th goal of the season to open the scoring late in the first period. After failing to find the scoresheet in Washington's first five games of December, Mangiapane has registered a point in back-to-back contests. The left-shot winger has reached the 40-point mark in three consecutive campaigns, but he's on pace to fall well short of that number in 2024-25. The 28-year-old has contributed seven goals, five helpers and a plus-6 rating through 31 appearances.

Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Scores in return to lineup
Mangiapane scored a goal in Tuesday's 3-2 loss to the Blackhawks.
Mangiapane found the twine midway through the first period with a wrister to notch his seventh goal of the campaign in his return from illness. He's struggled with consistency, however, as this was his first point in six December appearances. Due to his role as a bottom-six forward, don't expect Mangiapane to have a lot of fantasy upside in most formats, particularly when factoring in his consistency issues.

Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Back in action
Mangiapane (illness) will return to the lineup Tuesday versus the Blackhawks, Bailey Johnson of The Washington Post reports.
Mangiapane missed one game due to the illness, but it looks like he's ready to go. Hendrix Lapierre is expected to be scratched, allowing Mangiapane and Jakub Vrana to flank Lars Eller on the third line.

Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Unavailable due to illness
Mangiapane (illness) won't play in Monday's road matchup against the Stars.
Mangiapane will miss his first game of the season. The left-shot winger has provided six goals, four helpers and a plus-6 rating through 29 appearances. Hendrix Lapierre will replace Mangiapane in the lineup in Dallas. The Capitals are on the first half of a back-to-back Monday, so expect an update on Mangiapane's status ahead of Tuesday's road contest versus the Blackhawks.

Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Opens scoring in win
Mangiapane scored a goal on three shots in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Devils.
This was Mangiapane's second goal in the last three games. He scored four times and added three helpers over 15 contests in November, which is roughly in line with expectations for his offense. The veteran winger has 10 points, 41 shots on net, 18 hits and a plus-7 rating across 24 outings this season, and he's holding his own in a third-line role.

Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Scores in Wednesday's win
Mangiapane scored a goal on two shots in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Lightning.
Mangiapane was limited to three assists during his eight-game goal drought, which he snapped with a second-period tally. The 28-year-old winger now has five goals, four assists, 38 shots on net, 18 hits and a plus-6 rating over 22 outings. He's spent most of the campaign in a third-line role, and that's unlikely to change unless injuries pile up.

Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Adds assist in win
Mangiapane registered an assist and added two shots on goal in Monday's 6-2 win over Utah.
Mangiapane ended a three-game dry spell when he set up an Aliaksei Protas goal in the third period. Through 18 appearances, Mangiapane has a respectable eight points, 30 shots on net, 14 hits and a plus-5 rating. The 28-year-old has been a steady third-line presence in his first year with the Capitals, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him earn a fourth straight 40-point campaign.

Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Credited with two helpers
Mangiapane picked up two assists in Saturday's 8-1 win over the Blues.
Mangiapane helped out on goals by Rasmus Sandin and Michael Sgarbossa as part of the Capitals' five-goal third period. With four points over five games in November, Mangiapane is starting to get into a groove. The winger has four goals, seven points, 25 shots on net, 11 hits and a plus-3 rating through 14 appearances in a third-line role with time on the second power-play unit. He's a decent depth scorer who can also add some shots and hits to supplement a fantasy roster.

Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Scores in Friday's loss
Mangiapane scored a goal on two shots and added two hits in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Penguins.
Mangiapane's second-period tally tied the game at 2-2. The winger has two goals over four contests in November, putting him one point shy of matching his output from all of October. He's at four goals, one assist, 24 shots on net, 11 hits and a plus-2 rating over 13 contests while primarily playing on the third line and second power-play unit.

Capitals' Andrew Mangiapane: Ends scoring slump
Mangiapane tallied a goal and two shots during Saturday's 7-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
The goal ends a four-game pointless streak for Mangiapane, who has been moved to the third line alongside Hendrix Lapierre and Jakub Vrana in recent outings. The 28-year-old Mangiapane must become a more consistent offensive producer to move back into Washington's crowded top six and establish broader fantasy appeal for himself.
