Bertuzzi has opened training camp on the Maple Leafs' top line with Auston Matthews and Mitchell Marner, reports the Toronto Sun. It's early and things always change as camp progresses, but Bertuzzi's ability to dig the puck out and then crash the net to hammer in rebounds is the perfect style for his high-skill linemates. The trio has been skating at the practice facility over the past few weeks, but Thursday was the group's first public appearance together at camp. "I want to create space for those guys, bring energy," Bertuzzi said. "(Net front), that's where I'll be." Toronto media has already started calling the line the MAT Pack. The 6-foot-2, 200 pound winger's fantasy value will be the highest it has ever been if this gig sticks.... See More ... See Less

Maple Leafs' Tyler Bertuzzi: Lands with Leafs
Bertuzzi signed a one-year, $5.5 million contract with Toronto on Sunday. Bertuzzi generated 30 points in 50 games between Detroit and Boston last season after recording 30 goals and 32 assists in 68 contests for the Red Wings during the 2021-22 campaign. He should fit in nicely as a top-six forward with the Leafs, granting him valuable exposure to Auston Matthews or John Tavares.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' Tyler Bertuzzi: Three-point effort in Game 6
Bertuzzi scored two goals, one on the power play, and added a power-play assist in Friday's 7-5 loss to the Panthers in Game 6 of the Bruins' first-round series. The 28-year-old picked up his second tally and his helper within the first four minutes of the third period to give Boston a 4-3 lead, but everything went sideways for the team after that. Bertuzzi has found another gear to begin the playoffs, piling up four goals and nine points in six games, with five of those points (two goals, three assists) coming on the power play. Despite his efforts, the league's best team in the regular season is still facing the prospect of elimination on home ice in Game 7 on Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' Tyler Bertuzzi: Extends point streak Sunday
Bertuzzi scored the game-winning goal Sunday and added a power-play assist in a 6-2 victory over the Panthers during Game 4 of the Bruins' first-round series. After helping set up Brad Marchand midway through the first period to open the scoring, Bertuzzi gave the Bruins a 3-1 lead early in the third period by tipping home a point shot from Brandon Carlo. The former Red Wing has found the scoresheet in all four playoff games so far -- in fact, he's got an eight-game streak dating back to the final week of the regular season. Bertuzzi has piled up two goals and six points in the postseason heading into Game 5 on Wednesday.... See More ... See Less -

Bertuzzi scored a power-play goal in Boston's 6-3 loss to Florida in Game 2 on Wednesday. Bertuzzi is on a six-game scoring streak, providing two goals and 10 points in that span. His latest marker tied Wednesday's contest at 2-2 late in the second period, but the Panthers pounced in the third frame. Bertuzzi, who had eight goals and 30 points in 50 regular-season appearances, is a key component of Boston's supporting cast, serving on the second line and second power-play unit.... See More ... Bruins' Tyler Bertuzzi: Two assists in series opener
Bertuzzi picked up a pair of assists in Monday's 3-1 win over the Panthers. Bertuzzi set up David Pastrnak on the power play with a nifty backhanded pass to give Boston an early 1-0 lead in the first period. Bertuzzi would add a second assist on Jake DeBrusk's tally in the second. The 28-year-old Bertuzzi finished the regular season with six assists and seven points in his final four contests. He looks to be carrying his playmaking success into the postseason, further strengthening a potent Boston offense.... See More ... See Less -

Bertuzzi registered two assists in a 2-1 victory over New Jersey on Saturday. Bertuzzi has been held off the scoresheet only once over his last five contests, and he has two goals and five points in that span. Through 47 appearances this season, The 28-year-old has seven goals and 25 points. His scoring pace is well behind 2021-22, during which he finished with 62 points in 68 contests, but Bertuzzi seems to be heating up with the playoffs around the corner.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' Tyler Bertuzzi: Nets power-play goal Thursday
Bertuzzi scored a goal on two shots in Thursday's 2-1 overtime victory over Columbus. Bertuzzi's power-play goal midway through the second period was Boston's lone tally until David Pastrnak's winner in overtime. The goal snapped a three-game scoreless streak for Bertuzzi, who now has two goals and seven points in 14 games since joining the Bruins at the trade deadline. The 28-year-old winger is up to 21 points (six goals, 15 assists) in 43 games between Detroit and Boston. While it's been a down year offensively for Bertuzzi, he could see an expanded role down the stretch as the Bruins look to keep their top lines healthy going into the postseason.... See More ... Bruins' Tyler Bertuzzi: Pots first goal with Boston
Bertuzzi picked up a goal and an assist in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Canadiens. His first goal in a Bruins jersey came on a fluke play, as his centering attempt from behind the Montreal net banked off a defender's leg and Jake Allen's pad before finding twine, but it counts all the same. Bertuzzi has five points in his last six games and appears to be settling in nicely as a source of secondary offense for Boston.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' Tyler Bertuzzi: Adds assist in win
Bertuzzi logged an assist and four shots in Thursday's 3-0 win over Winnipeg. Bertuzzi set up Trent Frederic with a nifty centering feed from behind the net, giving the Bruins a 1-0 lead 50 seconds into the first period. The 28-year-old Bertuzzi now has three points, all assists, in six games since joining Boston at the trade deadline. He's up to four goals and 17 points in 35 games overall this season. While Bertuzzi is certainly capable of providing offense, he's been limited to a bottom-six role so far with the Bruins.... See More ... See Less -
Bruins' Tyler Bertuzzi: Coming to Beantown
Bertuzzi was acquired by the Bruins from the Red Wings on Thursday in exchange for a 2024 first-round pick and a 2025 fourth-round selection, Pierre LeBrun of TSN reports. Bertuzzi joins a Boston squad that is already sitting atop the NHL standings and leading the Presidents' Trophy race. In the short term, Bertuzzi figures to slot into a second-line role while Taylor Hall (lower body) is sidelined. Even once Hall returns, the 28-year-old Bertuzzi should challenge for a top-six role and a spot on the No. 1 power-play unit.... See More ... See Less -
Red Wings' Tyler Bertuzzi: Opens scoring in loss
Bertuzzi scored a goal on four shots in Monday's 6-2 loss to the Senators. Bertuzzi found himself on a partial breakaway before sliding the puck past Cam Talbot to give Detroit a 1-0 lead in the first period. It's the fourth goal of the season for Bertuzzi and his first since Feb. 16. Overall, it's been a disappointing year for Bertuzzi managers, though he still offers scoring upside while playing with Dylan Larkin on the Wing's top line. The 28-year-old Bertuzzi is up to 14 points through 28 games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Red Wings' Tyler Bertuzzi: Notches helper Saturday
Bertuzzi produced an assist, two shots on goal and 10 PIM in Saturday's 4-2 loss to the Kraken. Bertuzzi was most active late in the third period, setting up a Dylan Larkin goal and getting into a scuffle that led to 10-minute misconducts for him and Brandon Tanev. Since the All-Star break, Bertuzzi has been both healthy and effective -- he has two goals and five helpers in his last seven games. The winger is up to 12 points, 48 shots on net, 22 hits, 13 blocked shots, 16 PIM and a minus-10 rating through 24 appearances. He's worth a look in fantasy while logging top-line minutes alongside Larkin, though there's still a chance Bertuzzi, a pending free agent, could be dealt before the March 3 deadline.... See More ... Red Wings' Tyler Bertuzzi: Grabs three points in win
Bertuzzi tallied a goal and two assists in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Flames. Bertuzzi assisted on a pair of Dominik Kubalik goals before extending the Red Wings' lead to 4-2 with a power-play tally in the second period. It's Bertuzzi's first multi-point game since Nov. 25. He's up to three goals and eight assists through 23 games in an injury-hampered season. The 27-year-old winger, just one year removed from a 62-point campaign, will look to regain his offensive form as the Wings try to make a late playoff push.... See More ... See Less -
Red Wings' Tyler Bertuzzi: Slides helper in win
Bertuzzi notched a power-play assist in Monday's 6-1 win over the Canucks. Bertuzzi has a goal and two power-play helpers over four games since the All-Star break. It appears the break came at a good time -- he had just one helper in eight outings prior to the midseason intermission. The 27-year-old's had a rough season due to injuries, which have limited him to eight points, 41 shots on net and a minus-9 rating through 21 appearances. He's still playing in a top-six role at even strength with ample power-play time, so there's some potential here if he's available on the waiver wire.... See More ... See Less -
Red Wings' Tyler Bertuzzi: Powers up with assist
Bertuzzi collected a power-play assist en route to a 5-2 win over the Canucks on Saturday. Bertuzzi is trying to make up for lost time caused by a myriad of injuries, as he's appeared in just 20 games this season. But the NHL's All-Star break served him well; he managed a goal and and an assist in three games since that hiatus. On the season, Bert has two goals and five assists working against a minus-9 rating.... See More ... See Less -
Red Wings' Tyler Bertuzzi: Nets second goal of 2022-23
Bertuzzi found the back of the net in a 5-2 loss to Edmonton on Tuesday. Bertuzzi opened the scoring at 10:24 of the first period. He has two goals and six points in 18 contests this season. The 27-year-old was limited to an assist over his previous 10 games, but he's also gone through a lot of injuries this season, which has gotten in the way of him building any kind of momentum. Bertuzzi played in just his third straight game Tuesday after missing two contests from Jan. 21-24 because of a lower-body injury, and that's far from the only setback he's endured in 2022-23.... Meanwhile, Adam Erne, who played in the Red Wings' last two contests, is expected to be a healthy scratch.... See More ... See Less -

Bertuzzi (lower body) didn't play in Tuesday's 3-2 win over San Jose, Max Bultman of The Athletic reports. Although Bertuzzi missed a second straight contest Tuesday, coach Derek Lalonde said Wednesday he "would be surprised" if the 27-year-old winger was unavailable for Thursday's matchup with Montreal. For now, Bertuzzi should probably be considered a game-time decision versus the Canadiens.... See More ... See Less -
Red Wings' Tyler Bertuzzi: Expected to play

Bertuzzi should return to a top-six role and a spot on one of Detroit's power-play units following his two-game absence.
