Mekhi Garner: Removed from IR with settlement
The Eagles waived Garner (hamstring) from IR with an injury settlement Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Garner suffered a hamstring injury in early August and was waived with an injury designation Aug. 17. He subsequently went unclaimed and reverted to injured reserve, but since he's reached an injury settlement with Philadelphia, he'll be able to seek work with another organization once healthy.

Garner (hamstring) reverted to the Eagles' injured reserve Sunday after going unclaimed off waivers, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Garner will now be forced to sit out for the entire 2024 season unless an injury settlement is reached with Philadelphia.

Philadelphia waived Garner (hamstring) with an injury designation Saturday.
In a corresponding move, the Eagles signed tackle Gottlieb Ayedze. Garner would revert to the Eagles' injured reserve if he's not claimed by another team during the current waiver period.

Eagles' Mekhi Garner: Held out Monday
Garner missed Monday's practice with a hamstring issue, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
The second-year cornerback out of LSU is likely fighting for one of the last spots on Philadelphia's 53-man roster, so this hamstring injury could substantially hurt his chances. Expect Garner to compete for a special-teams role once he returns to full health.

Eagles' Mekhi Garner: Returns to practice
Garner (ankle) returned to practice Sunday, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
Garner appears to be healthy again after he had sat out practice Saturday with an ankle injury. The 23-year-old signed as an undrafted free agent in May and will look to make a push to make the final roster during Thursday's preseason finale against the Colts.
