  • Jared Bernhardt: Officially let go

Bernhardt was waived from the reserve/retired list by the Falcons on Monday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports. Bernhardt appeared in two games for the Falcons in 2022 and saw nine snaps on offense. The Ferris State product finished that campaign on IR after suffering a groin injury, then decided to hang up his cleats in May 2023. Now a free agent, it's unclear if the 26-year-old may decide try and make a comeback or if he'll remain retired after a short NFL career.

  • Falcons' Jared Bernhardt: Placed on reserve/retired list

Bernhardt (groin) was placed on the reserve/retired list by the Falcons on Monday, Tori McElhaney of the team's official site reports. Bernhardt is set to retire from the NFL ahead of the 2023 campaign, but because his contract isn't up yet, he's been placed on the reserve/retired list. This move allows the Falcons to retain the rights to the wide receiver until his contract runs out. Bernhardt appeared in two games with Atlanta in 2022, failing to garner a target over nine offensive snaps.
