Giants' Jason Pinnock: Heads to IR
The Giants placed Pinnock (toe) on the injured reserve list Saturday, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Pinnock sustained a toe injury in Week 17 against the Rams. He was ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Eagles on Friday and was placed on IR one day later. In his third year in the NFL, Pinnock registered career highs with 85 tackles (59 solo), including 2.0 sacks, six passes defended and two interceptions while adding two forced fumbles and a defensive touchdown over 16 games.

Giants' Jason Pinnock: Ruled out for season finale
Pinnock (toe) won't play in Sunday's season finale against the Eagles, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports.
The toe injury that knocked Pinnock out of the Week 17 loss to the Rams will also keep him from playing Week 18. The 24-year-old safety will finish his third NFL season with 85 tackles (59 solo), including 2.0 sacks, along with two forced fumbles and six passes defensed. The latter total includes two interceptions, one of which Pinnock returned 102 yards for a touchdown.

Giants' Jason Pinnock: Unavailable Wednesday
Pinnock (toe) was considered to be a nonparticipant at the Giants' walk-through Wednesday.
Pinnock suffered a toe injury in New York's narrow loss to the Rams in Week 17, forcing him to exit the contest in the first quarter, so his absence Wednesday isn't a major surprise. The safety will have two more chances to practice this week ahead of the Giants' final contest of the year Sunday versus the Eagles.

Giants' Jason Pinnock: X-rays clear on foot
Charlotte Carroll of The Athletic reports that Pinnock was seen wearing a walking boot following Sunday's 26-25 loss to the Rams, and the safety told reporters after the game that X-rays came back clear.
Pinnock sustained the foot injury in the first quarter and did not return to the contest. He'll have an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the issue but told reporters that he was feeling alright. Pinnock finished Sunday's contest with two tackles.

Giants' Jason Pinnock: Secures team's lone sack Week 15
Pinnock recorded eight tackles (seven solo), including a sack, in Sunday's loss to the Saints.
Pinnock tied for the team lead in stops, with one of his tackles being a sack of Derek Carr in the second quarter. It was the safety's second sack of the season and New York's only sack of the contest. Through 14 games, Pinnock has tallied a career-high 77 stops (54 solo) along with a forced fumble and two interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown.

Giants' Jason Pinnock: Picks off Love in Week 14
Pinnock logged four total tackles (all solo), two pass deflections and one interception in Monday night's 24-22 win over the Packers.
The 24-year-old intercepted a Jordan Love deep ball down the left sideline late in the second-quarter, giving New York its second takeaway of the first-half. Pinnock's second pick of the year tied him for the Giants' leader on the season, and he's now fourth on the team in pass deflections as well (six total). Expect the Pittsburgh product to continue causing problems for opposing quarterbacks as the year goes on.

Despite being limited by a thumb injury at practice to start the new week, Pinnock is now on track to play in Week 11. He figures to start at safety next to Xavier McKinney on Sunday at Washington.

Giants' Jason Pinnock: Limited at practice Wednesday
Pinnock (thumb) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Pinnock presumably hurt his thumb during this past Sunday's loss to Dallas, though he played all but one of New York's defensive snaps in that contest. He's also dealing with an ankle issue, but his ability to take the practice field Wednesday -- albeit in limited fashion -- suggests he has a good chance of suiting up this coming Sunday against Washington. Pinnock has been a near every-down presence in the Giants' secondary this season and has already compiled a career-high 55 tackles, including one sack, along with an interception that he returned for a touchdown.
