Bynum recorded 137 total tackles and nine pass deflections, including two interceptions in 17 games for the Vikings in the 2023 regular season. Bynum's productivity increased tremendously in his second season as a starter on the Vikings' defense, ranking first on the team in total tackles and second in both pass deflections and interceptions. The third-year pro's rookie contract will keep him in Minnesota through the 2024 season, but Bynum could very well see his contract extended after his 2023 campaign. Expect the 25-year-old to try and add another productive season to his resume in 2024.... See More ... See Less

Vikings' Camryn Bynum: Second-most tackles in loss
Bynum finished Sunday's 33-10 loss to the Packers with 10 tackles (five solo). Bynum reached double-digit tackles for the fourth time this season. Sunday's game was the first time this season that he did not play every single defensive snap, but he still managed to finish second on the team in tackles behind Ivan Pace. Bynum has a career-high and team-leading 130 tackles over 16 games this season.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Camryn Bynum: Makes nine tackles
Bynum notched nine solo tackles during Sunday's 19-13 win over the Bears. Bynum now boasts 41 total tackles through six appearances, an average of 6.8 per contest. He's also tallied two passes defensed and one forced fumble. By virtue of his consistent tackle numbers, Bynum will remain an interesting fantasy option in IDP formats heading into a Week 7 home matchup against the 49ers.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Camryn Bynum: Pops in sophomore season
Bynum registered a career-high 81 tackles (49 solo) and added six pass breakups, two interceptions and two fumble recoveries while playing in all 17 regular-season games in 2022. Bynum doubled his production in pass breakups while nearly tripling his number of tackles from his rookie campaign with Minnesota. The 2021 fourth-round pick saw the majority of his playing time on special teams in the previous season, but he opened the 2022 campaign in an every-down role alongside veteran strong safety Harrison Smith. The 24-year-old Bynum maintained this role throughout the entirety of the campaign after rookie first-round pick Lewis Cine went down with a season-ending fractured leg Week 4. If Cine is back to full health in 2023, Bynum could end up ceding more work in the Minnesota secondary.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Camryn Bynum: Registers game-high nine stops
Bynum recorded nine tackles (four solo) in Sunday's 41-17 loss to the Packers. Bynum was the only player on Minnesota's defense who never left the field in last weekend's matchup versus Green Bay, and he also set a new season high with nine tackles in the contest. He's more than likely to continue serving as an every-down safety in Week 18 against Chicago.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Camryn Bynum: Starts at free safety
Bynum started at free safety and had seven total tackles in Sunday's win over Green Bay. Bynum played on all 61 of the defense's snaps with first-round draft pick Lewis Cine missing Sunday's game with a knee injury. Cine was a strong candidate to win the starting free safety job, but he may now be eased into action. Bynum may play the bulk of snaps in the near term as a result.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Camryn Bynum: Clears protocols
Bynum was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Friday, per the NFL's transaction log. Bynum landed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Jan. 3 and was sidelined for Minnesota's final contest of the season. He concluded his rookie campaign with 28 total tackles, one interception and one sack across 14 games.... See More ... See Less -
Vikings' Camryn Bynum: Has sack in another start
Bynum started at safety opposite Xavier Woods and had six total tackles, a sack and a pass defensed in Sunday's win at the Chargers. Bynum drew a second consecutive start with Harrison Smith on the COVID-19 list. He's played so well in his first two starts (and first two games with significant playing time on defense) that he should continue to have a larger reserve role when Smith returns.... See More ... Vikings' Camryn Bynum: Gets start at safety
Bynum will start at safety in place of Harrison Smith, who will not play after being placed on the COVID-19 list, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports. Bynum has played just nine snaps on defense as he's mostly been used on special teams (127 snaps). Still, he could get plenty of work in a secondary that may struggle without Smith and cornerback Patrick Peterson.... See More ... See Less

The Daily Norseman ░V░I░K░ I░N░G░S░ ░I░N░ ░B░I░0░@DailyNorseman4H agoMan, what a great night that was. Had a lot of fun with the @ReportTed show and the Vikings somehow wound up with their QB of the future and the best defensive player in this year's Draft. Hard to be mad about what happened tonight. Some people still will be, but whatever.

Arif Hasan, but NFL 🏈@ArifHasanNFL4H agoI think the best argument for the trade up for Turner is not about how 5th-round picks aren't worth anything (it's about a 1st vs a 1st and a 3rd, 4th and 5th) but rather that the Vikings wouldn't have had a premier edge fall to them at 23 (Latu went 15, Verse 19, Chop 21)

Mike Wobschall@wobby6H agoOther #skol thoughts… - Optimal outcomes for #Vikings at 23: Trade back, Byron Murphy II, Jackson Powers-Johnson, Quinyon Mitchell - Love what ATL did. Kirk is perfect model for Penix to sit behind for 2 yrs - Great draft to find defensive help from picks 15-60 #nfldraft
