Moseley (knee) will begin walking on an anti-gravity treadmill Wednesday, as he continues to recover from a torn ACL suffered in Week 5 against the Panthers, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. Moseley is four weeks removed from surgery to repair his ACL and is ahead of schedule compared to his 2022 tear. Birkett notes that the Tennessee product is in great spirits despite the devastating injury. Although he will be unable to return this season, Moseley should be ready to return at some point in 2024.... See More ... See Less

Lions' Emmanuel Moseley: Won't return Sunday
Moseley (knee) has been ruled out from returning to Sunday's game against New England. Moseley appeared to hurt his right knee while in pass coverage during the first half and won't be able to return. He was making his 2023 debut Sunday after suffering a torn ACL and MCL in his left knee in Week 5 last year. Jerry Jacobs played a near every-down role with Moseley on injured reserve over the first four weeks and should continue to do so Sunday and potentially beyond.... See More ... See Less -
Lions' Emmanuel Moseley: Leaves game Sunday
Moseley exited Sunday's game against the Panthers with a knee injury and is questionable to come back in, Eric Woodyard of ESPN.com reports. The cornerback was making his season debut after recovering from an ACL tear and a hamstring injury. Moseley's ACL tear was on his left knee, but it was his right one being examined Sunday. The sixth-year pro suffered the torn ACL last season with the 49ers and then signed a one-year deal with the Lions in the offseason.... See More ... See Less -
Lions' Emmanuel Moseley: Could return Week 5
Moseley (knee) practiced in full Friday and is questionable for Sunday's Week 5 contest at home against the Panthers. Moseley logged a trio of limited practices Week 4 but didn't play in a Thursday contest against the Packers. He began this week with another pair of limited sessions before he was able to progress to full practice participation Friday. Moseley thus seems to have a good chance to play Sunday against Carolina, which would be his first game action since he tore the ACL and MCL in his left knee in Week 5 last year.... See More ... Lions' Emmanuel Moseley: Limited on practice estimate
Moseley (knee) was listed as a limited participant on Detroit's practice estimate Wednesday. Moseley was estimated as a limited participant at this time before the Lions' contest at Green Bay in Week 4, too, so it's too early to say for sure that he'll be ready to play in Week 5. He will still probably have to practice in full Thursday or Friday to shed his injury designation before Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Lions' Emmanuel Moseley: Limited on estimated injury report
Moseley (knee) was estimated as a limited participant at Detroit's walkthrough Monday. Moseley has still yet to make his 2023 debut, but Monday's estimation is a step in the right direction ahead of Thursday at the Packers. The Lions' injury reports Tuesday and Wednesday will serve as better indicators of whether he'll be ready to go for Week 4.... See More ... See Less -
Lions' Emmanuel Moseley: Sidelined again for Week 2
Moseley (knee/hamstring) has been ruled out for Sunday's Week 2 game against the Seahawks. Moseley missed the entirety of training camp while recovering from ACL surgery and is now dealing with a hamstring strain on top of it. With Moseley out again, Cam Sutton and Jerry Jacobs will line up as Detroit's top two cornerbacks in a date with DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.... See More ... See Less -
Lions' Emmanuel Moseley: Logs limited practice Monday
Moseley (knee) was a limited participant at practice Monday. Moseley is still working his way back from an ACL tear he suffered in October 2022, and he seems to be progressing well ahead of Thursday's game at Kansas City. Whether he'll be available in Week 1 is still up in the air, though, and if he has to sit out, it'll be interesting to see who among Will Harris, Steven Gilmore and Khalil Dorsey is active.... Lions' Emmanuel Moseley: Could miss start of season
Moseley (knee) is still without a timetable to return this season, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports. Moseley reported to camp late after undergoing a clean-up procedure on his knee and remains on the team's active/PUP list. He was originally expected to be ready Week 1 and took part in walkthrough drills during minicamp. However, the 27-year-old doesn't want to comment on what caused his setback, stating, "I don't want to go deeper into kind of what happened or whatever, but just know right now I'm feeling pretty good." When asked if he might be ready by the season opener, he added, "I'm not going to throw no numbers out there or a timeline, but if you see me out, just know I'll be very excited." Moseley is expected to play a key role in the Lions secondary this season, but he'll need to get healthy first, and it still remains unclear when that will be.... See More ... See Less -
Lions' Emmanuel Moseley: Slated to sign with Lions
The Lions and Moseley (knee) agreed to terms Tuesday on a one-year, $6 million contract, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. Moseley entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee and started 33 games in five seasons for the 49ers, developing into an every-down outside corner the last two years. His 2022 season was cut short in Week 5 when Moseley blew out his ACL and MCL. He should be at or nearing full health by the time training camp starts.... See More ... See Less -
49ers' Emmanuel Moseley: Torn ACL confirmed
Moseley suffered a torn ACL during Sunday's 37-15 win over the Panthers, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Moseley will now target a return for the start of the 2023 campaign. The 26-year-old cornerback totaled 21 tackles, five passes defensed and one interception through the 49ers' first five games. Fellow cornerbacks Samuel Womack and Ambry Thomas are in line to receive additional opportunities moving forward behind starters Deommodore Lenoir and Charvarius Ward.... See More ... See Less -
49ers' Emmanuel Moseley: Feared to have sustained torn ACL
Moseley is feared to have sustained a torn left ACL during Sunday's win over Carolina, Jennifer Lee Chan of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. Moseley sustained a knee injury while breaking up a pass late in Sunday's victory, and initial tests point toward a significant injury. He was on crutches in the locker room after the game and was unable to put any weight on his left leg. He'll presumably undergo further testing in the coming days to confirm his diagnosis, but he'll be forced to miss significant time if he's ultimately confirmed to have a torn ACL.... See More ... 49ers' Emmanuel Moseley: Full participant Monday
Moseley (hamstring) participated in the 49ers' full-team sessions during practice Monday, David Lombardi of The Athletic reports. Moseley returned in full to practice Monday for the first time since straining his hamstring during practice Aug. 8. The fifth-year cornerback, who totaled 42 tackles and a career-high 11 passes defended over 11 starts last year, figures to reprise this significant pass-coverage role alongside a new running mate in Charvarius Ward (groin) this regular season.... 49ers' Emmanuel Moseley: Activated from IR
Moseley was activated off of injured reserve Saturday. After missing the last four contests with an ankle injury, the cornerback will make his return just in time to appear in Sunday's crucial contest against the Rams. 49ers' Emmanuel Moseley: Won't be back before Week 18
Coach Kyle Shanahan said Monday that Moseley (ankle) won't be back until Week 18 at the earliest, Eric Branch of the San Francisco Chronicle reports. Moseley's eligible to return from IR as early as Week 17 against Houston, but Shanahan says he won't be ready by then. If Moseley's back for the season finale against the Rams, he could use that game as an opportunity to knock off some rust before the playoffs, assuming the 49ers are able to make it.... See More ... Moseley will be eligible to return for Week 17 against the Texans.... See More ... See Less -

Moseley (ankle) is questionable to return to Sunday's contest against the Seahawks, Keiana Martin of the 49ers' official site reports.
