The Raiders signed Jenkins on Friday. Jenkins is now slated to compete for snaps on the Raiders' defensive line throughout the 2023 campaign after spending the last two years as a member of the Dolphins. Across 17 contests a season ago, the 33-year-old amassed 21 tackles.... See More ... See Less

Dolphins' John Jenkins: Added to active roster
Jenkins was activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday. Jenkins' return will bolster the Dolphins' defensive line depth ahead of their game with the Patriots on Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' John Jenkins: Enters COVID protocols
Jenkins (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday after testing positive for the Virus, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Jenkins' potential absence Sunday against the Titans would be a blow to the Dolphins' defensive line depth. However, if he is vaccinated, he could clear protocols by producing two negative tests more than 24 hours apart.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' John Jenkins: Signs with Miami
The Dolphins signed Jenkins to a one-year deal Thursday, Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald reports. In Jenkins' 11 contests during the 2020 campaign, he posted 21 tackles (14 solo) and one pass breakup with the Bears. Previous to his time in Chicago, the veteran nose tackle played 16 games with Miami in 2019. Jenkins will likely boost depth on the team's defensive line this coming coming season.... See More ... Bears' John Jenkins: Can't go Monday
Jenkins (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game versus the Vikings. Jenkins will miss a second straight game, and he'll look to heal up over the Week 11 bye. Anthony Rush, whom the Bears signed earlier in the week, should see immediate work behind starting nose tackle Bilal Nichols.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' John Jenkins: Ruled out
Jenkins (ankle) won't play in Sunday's game against the Titans, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports. Jenkins was unable to practice all week, so this decision isn't too surprising. He will now set his sights on a potential return Week 10 against the Vikings.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' John Jenkins: Injured late
Jenkins exited Sunday's game against the Saints in the fourth quarter due to an apparent foot or ankle injury, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports. His return was later ruled out, per Biggs. Jenkins had four solo tackles before being forced out Sunday. If he's unable to retake the field versus New Orleans, it will be a blow to Chicago's depth along the interior defensive line.... Bears' John Jenkins: Eligible to begin practicing again
Jenkins (thumb) has been designated to return from injured reserve, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports. After starting five times for the Dolphins during 2019, Jenkins was filling a considerable role in the early stages of his return to Chicago. Jenkins had been a member of the Bears during 2017, but he only exceeded 20 defensive snaps three times over eight appearances that season. Prior to suffering a ligament tear in his thumb during the Bears' Week 2 win over the Giants, Jenkins had fielded an average of 24.5 snaps per game on the defensive side.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' John Jenkins: Longer absence ahead
Jenkins (thumb) will miss several games and is a candidate to be placed on IR, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Jenkins apparently suffered a ligament tear in his thumb Week 2 against the Giants but continued to play through it. Not addressing the issue may prove costly here if an IR stint is in play. In the meantime, the Bears will add defensive line depth by signing defensive tackle Daniel McCullers off the Pittsburgh practice squad.... See More ... See Less -
Bears' John Jenkins: Heading to COVID list
The Bears placed Jenkins (illness) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Over the past five years, Jenkins has been rostered by five organizations, totaling 55 tackles and one sack in 40 games. Prior to his diagnosis or recent contact with a COVID-positive person, he was slated to start at nose tackle for Eddie Goldman, who had opted out of the season. Fortunately for Jenkins, he has plenty of time to get healthy for the regular season.... See More ... See Less -
Dolphins' John Jenkins: Posts season-high seven tackles
Jenkins racked up seven tackles (four solo) in Sunday's 41-24 loss to the Browns. Jenkins' previous season high was just four tackles, while he also logged a season-high 55 defensive snaps in Week 12 against the Browns.... See More ... See Less -
Giants' John Jenkins: Back with Giants
Jenkins re-signed an undisclosed contract with the Giants on Tuesday. Jenkins joined the Giants early in the 2018 season after he was waived by the Bears and was able to play seven games, logging just one quarterback hit. He will likely resume his role of working as a depth defensive lineman in 2019.... See More ... See Less -
Giants' John Jenkins: Heading to Big Apple
Jenkins signed a contract with the Giants on Tuesday, Michael Eisen of the Giants' official site reports. Jenkins was released by the Bears this past weekend as they cut their roster down to 53. The defensive tackle has bounced around the league a bit, playing in 59 games with 23 starts for the Saints (2013-16), Seattle Seahawks (2016) and Bears (2017), recording 121 tackles (67 solo), six tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, two pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.... Bears' John Jenkins: Agrees to contract with Bears
Jenkins has agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Bears, the Chicago Tribune reports. Jenkins split last season between New Orleans and Seattle, recording 13 tackles in nine games. He only has 62 tackles and 1.5 sacks in his four-year career, but at 350-plus pounds, he could be of use to Chicago's run defense in a depth role.... See More ... See Less -
Saints' John Jenkins: Should see increased playing time
With rookie DT Sheldon Rankins reportedly fracturing his fibula in Monday's practice, Jenkins will likely see an increase in playing time to start the season. Jenkins, a pending free agent, appeared slated for a reserve role this season, with the Saints drafting Rankins with the 12th overall pick and spending big to acquire veteran Nick Fairley in free agency. With Rankins expected to miss 6-8 weeks, Jenkins will now likely start alongside Fairley in the Saints' 4-3 base defense. In his first three years in the league, Jenkins has posted decent tackle totals for his position, but with only 1.5 career sacks, he probably should not be expected to be a difference-maker in most IDP leagues.... Saints place John Jenkins on IR
The Saints announced a pair of roster moves on Saturday. The team elevated quarterback Ryan Griffin to the 53-man active roster and placed nose tackle John Jenkins on injured reserve with an abdominal injury. Jenkins registered 30 combined tackles and a sack in 12 games played.... See More ... See Less -
Saints' Terron Armstead out for regular season finale against Bucs
Saints tackle Terron Armstead will miss Week 17 against the Buccaneers with a neck injury. It will be Armstead's second straight game out with the injury. Defensive tackle John Jenkins is listed as questionable with an abdomen injury and did not practice Friday. Safety Jamarca Sanford (hamstring) and tackle Zach Strief (neck) are both listed as probable for the game. The Saints are currently 4-point favorites against the Bucs.... See More ... See Less -

The Saints declared these players inactive for Sunday night's game at Dallas: running back Mark Ingram (hand), safety Marcus Ball (hamstring), wideout Joe Morgan, defensive back Patrick Robinson (hamstring), fullback Erik Lorig (ankle), linebacker David Hawthorne (ankle, knee) and nose tackle John Jenkins.... John Jenkins skips the trip to Dallas
Saints defensive tackle John Jenkins did not make the trip with the team to Dallas and will likely be a healthy scratch for Week 4, Pro Football Talk reports. Jenkins underwent pectoral surgery in the offseason but is relatively healthy. He's been limited to only one game this season. The Saints have not provided a reason for his absence.... See More ...
