Nuggets' Spencer Jones: Ruled out for Thursday
Jones (shoulder) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Lakers.
Jones will miss a third consecutive contest due to a right shoulder strain, and his next opportunity to play will come Friday against New York. With the 24-year-old forward unavailable, Tim Hardaway, Bruce Brown and Julian Strawther are candidates to see a slight uptick in playing time.

Nuggets' Cameron Johnson: Questionable for Thursday
Johnson (ankle) is questionable for Thursday's game versus the Lakers.
Johnson sat out the second leg of a back-to-back set in Monday's win over the Jazz, and now he's in danger of missing a second straight game with Thursday's match being the first of a back-to-back. If he's out again, that would create more opportunity for Tim Hardaway, Bruce Brown and Julian Strawther.

Nuggets' David Roddy: Signs with Denver
Roddy signed a two-way contract with the Nuggets on Wednesday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
A first-round pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, Roddy has been a standout player with the Raptors 905 in the G League. The Nuggets have had a lot of key injuries, and Roddy is being brought in to provide some emergency depth on the wings.

Nuggets' Aaron Gordon: Eyeing return Friday
Gordon (hamstring) is targeting a return to the Nuggets lineup Friday against the Knicks, Sam Amick of The Athletic reports.
Gordon has been sidelined for Denver's last 16 games after aggravating a right hamstring injury Jan. 23, and while playing in Thursday's game against the Lakers appears to be off the table, the veteran forward may have a shot at being available for the second leg of a back-to-back set. After such a lengthy layoff due to the hamstring injury, Gordon will likely face a strict minutes restriction in his first game back in action and could be brought off the bench.

Nuggets' Jamal Murray: Drops 45 points in win
Murray registered 45 points (13-19 FG, 8-13 3Pt, 11-12 FT), two rebounds, eight assists and two steals over 38 minutes during Monday's 128-125 victory over the Jazz.
Murray was the star of the show for the Nuggets and has now scored 40 or more points four times in 57 appearances this season. The Kentucky product also got back on track as a facilitator after averaging 3.8 assists over his last five matchups entering Monday. The only downside of his monster night came in the form of a team-high seven turnovers.

Nuggets' Julian Strawther: Posts 15 points in victory
Strawther amassed 15 points (5-11 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), one rebound and one assist over 29 minutes during Monday's 128-125 victory over Utah.
Strawther depended on shot volume during the win, as he barely made a dent in secondary categories over 29 minutes on the floor. The third-year pro has logged 10 consecutive starts amid Denver's injury woes, averaging 12.2 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists.

Nuggets' Jonas Valanciunas: Logs 13 points in starting role
Valanciunas logged 13 points (4-6 FG, 5-5 FT), six rebounds, one assist and one steal over 17 minutes during Monday's 128-125 victory over the Jazz.
Valanciunas played in unfamiliar territory Monday night, as he ran with the first unit at the four alongside Nikola Jokic. Valanciunas lacks the floor-stretching ability of other big men who can roam beyond the baseline, but the Nuggets made the call given numerous injuries throughout the roster. Putting Valanciunas and Jokic together can make sense down the stretch to give Denver a size advantage up front, so there could be repeat appearances of this scheme until Aaron Gordon (hamstring) and Peyton Watson (hamstring) can return to action.

Nuggets' Nikola Jokic: Low shot volume in narrow win
Jokic accumulated 22 points (6-11 FG, 10-11 FT), 12 rebounds, five assists and two blocks in 36 minutes during Monday's 128-125 win over Utah.
Jokic's double-double lacked its usual pop, but 11 appearances at the charity stripe and a high rebound total helped to buoy his bottom line. He ceded most of the heavy lifting to Jamal Murray, who kept making shots to keep ahead of the shorthanded Jazz. The Nuggets take on the Lakers next, and it will be Jokic's first appearance against them after an injury sidelined him in their only other meeting this season.

Nuggets' Jonas Valanciunas: Drawing rare start
Valanciunas is starting Monday's game against the Jazz.
Valanciunas will draw his first start since Jan. 29 due to the absences of Cameron Johnson (ankle) and Spencer Jones (shoulder). Valanciunas is averaging 15.3 points, 10.8 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.0 blocks in his previous four starts.

Nuggets' Tyus Jones: Signs on with Denver
Jones agreed to a contract with the Nuggets on Monday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Jones is expected to eat up minutes behind Jamal Murray in Denver's backcourt. Jones was waived by the Mavs on Friday after being traded twice before the trade deadline. The Duke product has appeared in 56 games this season across stops in Phoenix and Dallas and is averaging 3.1 points, 1.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 15.8 minutes per contest.

Nuggets' Peyton Watson: Ramping up, re-evaluation on tap
Watson has been ramping up his basketball activities as he continues to recover from a right hamstring strain and is slated to be re-examined later this week, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports.
The Nuggets may provide more details on where Watson stands in his recovery from the injury once he's checked out in the next few days, but Siegel relays that the team is hopeful that the fourth-year forward can return to action in the next 7-to-10 days. Watson has been sidelined since Feb. 7, with the hamstring injury interrupting what had been a breakthrough season for the 23-year-old.

Nuggets' Cameron Johnson: Ruled out Monday
Johnson is out for Monday's game against Utah with right ankle inflammation.
Johnson came away from Sunday's loss to the Timberwolves with the issue and will need at least one contest on the sidelines. With Johnson, Aaron Gordon (hamstring) and Spencer Jones (shoulder) all out of action Monday, Tim Hardaway, Bruce Brown and Julian Strawther are each worthy of streaming consideration in all fantasy formats.

Nuggets' Spencer Jones: Sitting again Monday
Jones (shoulder) is out for Monday's game against the Jazz.
Jones will be sidelined for a second straight contest Monday. His next chance to play comes Thursday against the Lakers. In the meantime, players like Julian Strawther, Tim Hardaway and Bruce Brown could pick up the slack for Denver.

Nuggets' Aaron Gordon: Remains out Monday
Gordon (hamstring) is out for Monday's game against the Jazz.
Gordon will be sidelined for a 16h straight game due to a right hamstring strain, though head coach David Adelman hinted last Tuesday that the veteran forward could be closing in on a return. The Nuggets will play their 62nd game of the season Monday, and Adelman told Ryan Blackburn of MileHighSports.com that he's hoping that the team can get fully healthy with around 20 games to go. According to Bennett Durando of The Denver Post, Adelman also said last Tuesday that Gordon was doing "basically everything but contact stuff" in practice, but it's unclear how much the veteran forward has progressed since then. Expect the Nuggets to provide another update on Gordon's status leading up to their Thursday/Friday back-to-back set versus the Lakers and Knicks, respectively.
