Bucks' Gary Harris: Set to join Milwaukee
Harris and the Bucks agreed to a two-year deal on Tuesday, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.
The second year of the deal will be a player option. After five seasons in Orlando, Harris will latch on with the Bucks, where he's projected to be a fringe rotation player on the wings. During the 2024-25 regular season, Harris appeared in 48 games for the Magic with averages of 3.0 points and 1.3 rebounds while shooting 38.3 percent from the field.

Gary Harris: Team option declined
The Magic declined their $7.5 million team option on Harris' contract for the 2025-26 season Monday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Harris will become an unrestricted free agent after spending the past four-plus seasons with Orlando. The 30-year-old swingman saw his playing time dip during the 2024-25 campaign, finishing with averages of 3.0 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.8 three-pointers in 14.8 minutes per game across 48 regular-season appearances (three starts).

Magic's Gary Harris: Quiet in 15 minutes
Harris produced three points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3Pt), one rebound and one assist in 15 minutes during Tuesday's 120-89 loss to Boston in Game 5 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Harris had a tough postseason, appearing in five games with 1.4 points on 37.5 percent shooting. His regular season didn't go much better, however. He appeared in just 48 games, hitting 38.3 percent of his shots with 3.0 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.8 three-pointers in 14.8 minutes. The Magic hold a $7.5 million team option on the veteran for 2025-26.

Magic's Gary Harris: Comes up empty in Game 4 loss
Harris had zero points (0-1 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one rebound in 18 minutes during Sunday's 107-98 loss to the Celtics in Game 4 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Harris failed to score for the second straight game and the third time in the past four games. At this point, he is being utilized out of necessity only, given the Magic are without Jalen Suggs. Game 5 will see the two teams face off again Tuesday, with Orlando needing a victory to keep the series alive.

Magic's Gary Harris: Rough night Sunday
Harris had zero points (0-2 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and one rebound across 14 minutes during Sunday's 103-86 loss to the Celtics in Game 1 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
Harris continues to play a modest role for the Magic, offering nothing in terms of tangible production. Constant injuries have resulted in Harris being nothing more than a veteran piece on a young team, with his days of being a meaningful contributor now seemingly behind him.

Magic's Gary Harris: Lands four triples in loss
Harris closed Sunday's 117-105 loss to the Hawks with 12 points (4-4 FG, 4-4 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and one steal in 18 minutes.
Harris connected on four three-pointers, the most he has had since the season opener. Injuries once again limited Harris this season and led to him playing in just 48 games, during which he averaged 3.0 points in 14.8 minutes. Even if the Magic advance to the postseason, it is unlikely Harris will play a sizeable role.

Magic's Gary Harris: Back to bench
Harris won't start Friday's game against the Hawks.
With Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (knee) sidelined, Harris drew a spot start Friday and posted 10 points in 17 minutes. While Harris will slide back to his usual bench role, he could see increased playing time again if Caldwell-Pope doesn't play the entire game.

Magic's Gary Harris: Set to start Friday
Harris is in the starting lineup for Friday's game versus the Pacers.
Harris will replace Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (knee) in the starting five Friday. Harris has averaged 7.0 points in 16.5 minutes across his previous two starting appearances this season.

Magic's Gary Harris: Bright spot off bench
Harris had six points (2-4 FG, 2-4 3Pt), five rebounds, five assists and two steals across 29 minutes during Tuesday's 111-104 win over the Hornets.
This was one of Harris' best performances in a while. He's mostly been a non-factor lately, averaging 1.5 points, 18 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 14.6 minutes over his last 10 games. If Cole Anthony (toe) continues to miss time, Harris showed Tuesday that he still has something to offer the Magic.

Magic's Gary Harris: Muted role continues
Harris totaled three points (1-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and two blocks across 21 minutes during Friday's 118-111 loss to Minnesota.
Harris was back in the rotation, albeit for just 21 minutes off the bench. It's been another disappointing season for the veteran, who has been hampered by ongoing hamstring issues. He has played in just 34 games thus far, averaging 3.0 points in 15.4 minutes per contest.

Magic's Gary Harris: Off injury report for Saturday
Harris (hamstring) is not listed on the injury report for Saturday's game against San Antonio.
Harris will return to action after missing Thursday's loss to Denver due to left hamstring injury management. The veteran swingman has appeared in only five outings since Jan. 1, averaging 2.6 points in 14.6 minutes per contest.

Magic's Gary Harris: Ruled out Thursday
Harris (hamstring) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against Denver, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Harris will miss the second leg of the club's back-to-back set due to left hamstring injury management. His next chance to suit up will come Saturday against the Spurs. The veteran swingman appeared in the club's last four outings after a 13-game absence, averaging 2.3 points in 14.5 minutes per contest in that four-game span.

Magic's Gary Harris: Deemed questionable for Thursday
Harris is listed as questionable for Thursday's game versus the Nuggets due to left hamstring injury maintenance.
Harris could sit out the second leg of Orlando's back-to-back Thursday for precautionary reasons, as he has already missed significant time due to a hamstring injury this season. With Jalen Suggs (quadriceps) doubtful and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (hamstring) also questionable, Cole Anthony and Anthony Black are likely poised for increased playing time against Denver.

Magic's Gary Harris: Handles light role in return
Harris (hamstring) recorded three points (1-2 FG, 1-2 3Pt), one rebound and one block across 13 minutes in Thursday's 119-90 loss to the Trail Blazers.
Harris made his return to action for Orlando after missing the team's previous 13 games due to a left hamstring strain. Even as he becomes further removed from the injury, the veteran wing is unlikely to see his role grow. He had been averaging 16.3 minutes per game over his first 20 appearances of the season prior to getting hurt.

Magic's Gary Harris: Good to go
Harris (hamstring) is available for Thursday's game against the Trail Blazers, Mason Williams of SI.com reports.
Harris will return to action for the first time since Jan. 1 after recovering from a left hamstring strain. He averaged 4.0 points in 16.4 minutes per game through his first 20 appearances of the 2024-25 campaign, and minutes could be even more challenging to come by now that Orlando's backcourt is mostly healthy.
