Alabama's Eddie Lacy is still an NFL prospect, but he might not be the best running back on his own college team after a big debut from freshman T.J. Yeldon. (US Presswire)

on the rise

  • Dee Milliner, Alabama: NFL scouts already knew Milliner's name, but his stock took off after a huge game in the national spotlight Saturday in a 41-14 win over Michigan. The 6-foot-1, 200-pound CB was named the SEC defensive player of the week after he recorded five tackles, a career-high four pass deflections, and an interception. The junior returned the interception 35 yards, setting up Alabama's third score of the game. You can see him next: Saturday vs. Western Kentucky, 3:40 p.m. ET (SEC Network)
  • Tyler Bray, Tennessee: The 6-6 junior QB has the height and the arm strength of a top NFL prospect, but one knock on him has been his lack of production against top teams. NC State might not be a championship contender, but its secondary is top notch. Bray shredded it in a 35-21 Tennessee victory Friday, completing 27 of 41 passes (65.8 percent) for 333 yards and two touchdowns.  You can see him next: Saturday vs. Georgia State, 4 p.m. ET (pay per view)
  • Chris Gragg, Arkansas: The 6-3, 240-pound TE couldn't be covered in a 49-24 Arkansas win over Jacksonville State on Saturday. True, it was an FCS opponent, but Gragg took over when top WR Cobi Hamilton checked out of the game with a neck injury. He had seven receptions for 110 yards, helping solidify him as one of the top TE draft prospects in the SEC. You can see him next: Saturday vs. Louisiana-Monroe, 7 p.m. ET (ESPNU)

3 who are falling

  • Eddie Lacy, Alabama: He was thought to be the top replacement for departed RB Trent Richardson. He might still be, but freshman RB T.J. Yeldon stole the show in Saturday night's 41-14 win over Michigan. Lacy had nine carries for 35 yards and a touchdown, but Yeldon led the way with 11 carries for 111 yards and a touchdown. At the very least, it looks like Lacy, a junior, will be splitting a lot of the carries with the talented freshman. You can see him next: Saturday vs. Western Kentucky, 3:40 p.m. ET (SEC Network)
  • Jeffrey Whitaker, Auburn: The 6-4, 307-pound DT was part of an Auburn defense that got absolutely smashed by the Clemson rushing attack in a 26-19 loss. It gave up 320 yards on the ground, including more than 200 to Clemson RB Andre Ellington. Whitaker was nowhere to be found on the stat sheet. The Clemson OL handled him all night. You can see him next: Saturday at Mississippi State, noon ET (ESPN

  • Matt Elam, Florida: The junior S had his moments in Florida's 27-14 win over Bowling Green. He had two tackles and nearly blocked a punt. Still, the Gators needed more from the play-making junior as they struggled to pull away from Bowling Green in the second half. Coach Will Muschamp will be leaning on his defense as the offense continues to develop with new starting QB Jeff Driskel.  You can see him next: Saturday at Texas A&M, 3:30 p.m. ET (ESPN)
