Here are some Pac-12 links from outlets that cover the conference:

Colorado safety Will Harlos, who played in three games in 2011 before sustaining a season-ending concussion against Ohio State, has been placed on the medically unable to perform list and no longer will play football for the Buffs, Tom Kensler of the Denver Post reported. Harlos was considered among Colorado’s top signees in February, 2011.

With so much inexperience on both sides of the ball, Arizona State coach Todd Graham is looking for a lot of good men. Freshman running back D.J. Foster and freshman defensive lineman Jaxon Hood are both making a strong push for playing time, Tyler Lockman of foxsportsarizona.com reported.

USC standout receiver Robert Woods feels fast and comfortable again following offseason ankle surgery. That’s bad news for the Trojans’ opponents, Michael Lev of the Orange County Register reported.

Arizona football coach Rich Rodriguez wants everything to speed things up. Receiver Dan Buckner gets that, but the Wildcats senior is also slowing things down and that’s a good thing. It means the game is coming more easily, Steve Rivera of foxsportsarizona.com reported.

With senior starter Kenjon Barner and sophomore backup De'<player idref= in the fold, freshman running back Byron Marshall will have to bide his time as the understudy. But he’s making a strong impression early in camp and is the odds-on favorite to be Oregon’s No. 3 running back, Aaron Fentress of the Oregonian wrote.

Oregon State safety Ryan Murphy lost his best friend and teammate Dec. 7 when Fred Thompson died from complications of an enlarged heart. After an emotionally painful offseason of healing, Murphy is finally moving forward, Cliff Kirkpatrick of the Corvallis Gazette-Times reported.

Fumbles will turn a coach’s hair gray, but they are of particular concern at Utah. The Utes, who were second to last in the Pac-12 in 2011 with 13 lost fumbles, put the ball on the ground twice on Tuesday. Utah coach Kyle Whittingham was not pleased, Lya Wodraska of the Salt Lake Tribune reported.

DeShaun Foster accomplished many things at UCLA, including setting the school record in 1998 for most touchdowns (12) in a season by a freshman. But there's one final chapter Foster hopes to write in what he hopes will be a storybook ending — crossing a stage wearing a cap and gown, Miguel Melendez of the Orange County Register reported.

Eric Oertel, a Wisconsin native, grew up wanting to play for the Badgers. But in his third year at Washington State, the 213-pound linebacker now says he couldn't be happier about playing for the Cougars, Bud Withers of the Seattle Times reported.

Which Cal and Stanford newcomers could have the most impact this season? Jon Wilner of the San Jose Mercury News took a stab at answering that question.

Former Butte College coach Craig Rigsbee helped guide current Packers QB Aaron Rodgers to Cal. Now, his boys could both start on the offensive line, John Crumpacker of the San Francisco Chronicle reported.
