South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney was picked as a first-team defensive end on 223 of the 234 ballots turned in from media members for the Preseason All-SEC team at the SEC media days in Hoover, Ala., that will end on Thursday.

No players were unanimous, but Clowney, Alabama linebacker C.J. Mosley (231 first-place votes) and Alabama running back T.J. Yeldon (221 first-place votes) were close in the balloting for the preseason all-conference team.

Texas A&M sophomore quarterback Johnny Manziel, the defending Heisman Trophy winner, easily outdistanced two-time national champion quarterback AJ McCarron of Alabama to earn the first-team spot.

The SEC credentialed a record 1,239 media members and collected a record 234 ballots for the teams. We've listed the results below. Any thoughts on the media's vote?
