McCullers (coach's decision) is inactive for the Bears' Week 14 matchup against Houston.
McCullers has been in and out of the lineup since being signed off the Steelers' practice squad in late September, with Week 14 marking his fourth appearance of the 2020 campaign. The 28-year-old has pulled a workload of 28.3 defensive snaps per game, collecting a total of eight tackles during his time in Chicago.

Daniel McCullers: Let go by Bears
The Bears released McCullers on Friday, Larry Mayer of the team's official site reports.
The Bears signed McCullers when they placed John Jenkins (thumb) on injured reserve, but with Jenkins returning from IR, McCullers was shown the door. McCullers didn't suit up in a game during his three-week stint with the Bears.

Bears' Daniel McCullers: Signs with Chicago
McCullers was signed by the Bears off Pittsburgh's practice squad Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
McCullers appeared in 31 games with the Steelers over the last two seasons, seeing limited work on defense and a semi-regular role on special teams. His career-best single-season tackle total came in 2016, when he racked up 17 combined tackles and one sack. Now with the Bears, McCullers will presumably work behind starting nose tackle Bilal Nichols, providing depth at the position with John Jenkins (thumb) set to miss multiple games.

Steelers' Daniel McCullers: Two tackles in finale
McCullers had two tackles in Sunday's 28-10 loss to the Ravens.
Reprising his role as backup nose tackle, McCullers finished the 2019 season with eight tackles in 16 games played. He has one year remaining on his current contract and should once again provide depth behind Javon Hargrave in 2020.

McCullers re-signed with the Steelers on a two-year deal Thursday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
McCullers played in 15 games last season, but recorded only five combined tackles and one sack. He'll return to the organization he's played his entire five-year career, where the 26-year-old will provide interior line depth and likely resume his regular role on special teams.

McCullers did not record a tackle during Sunday's 16-13 win over Cincinnati.
The big defensive lineman played just four snaps in the season finale and finished the 2018 season with five tackles -- including one sack -- in 15 games. McCullers is an unrestricted free agent who serves as roster depth.

McCullers sat out Pittsburgh's win over the Panthers in Week 10 due to an ankle injury but appears to have fully recovered. Barring any setbacks, expect the depth nose tackle to play a limited defensive role during Sunday's game against the Jaguars.

McCullers (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday's matchup against the Panthers, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
McCullers will join Marcus Gilbert (knee) as the only two Steelers not playing in Thursday's contest against the Panthers. The Tennessee product logged a limited practice Monday but was unable to practice Tuesday and Wednesday.

Steelers' Daniel McCullers: Remaining in Pittsburgh
McCullers re-signed to a one-year deal with the Steelers on Thursday, Joe Rutter of Triblive.com reports.
McCullers will remain in Pittsburgh, where he was drafted in the sixth-round of the 2014 draft. The nose tackle has been more of a depth lineman so far in his career, registering just one start in 42 career games. The Steelers now have all six defensive linemen who saw action last season under contract for the 2018 season as well.

Steelers' Daniel McCullers: First sack of season in win
McCullers totaled five tackles (three solo), including a sack in the Steelers' 27-24 overtime win against Cleveland on Sunday.
McCullers had the best game of his three-year career, finishing the season with 17 tackles (10 solo), including the one sack. Pittsburgh hosts Miami, against whom they lost 3015 in Week 6, in the Wild Card round next week.
