Capitals' Vincent Iorio: Won't play in Game 2
Iorio (upper body) will not be an option for Game 2 against the Rangers on Tuesday, Jean-Francois Chaumont of NHL.com reports.
Iorio will join a growing list of blue-line absences that also includes Rasmus Sandin (upper body) and Nick Jensen (upper body). As a result, Lucas Johansen is poised to make his NHL playoffs debut. In his seven NHL games this season, the 21-year-old Iorio had no points, six shots, three hits and three blocks while averaging a mere 8:41 of ice time.

Iorio (upper body) is considered day-to-day, according to Tarik El-Bashir of Monumental Sports Network.

Iorio was returned to AHL Hershey on Friday.
The 20-year-old made his NHL debut Friday and played three games with the Capitals, picking up an assist in his first game. Iorio was selected in the second round -- 55th overall -- in 2021. He had two goals and 15 assists in 51 games with AHL Hershey before his recall.

Capitals' Vincent Iorio: Recalled from AHL Hershey
Iorio was recalled from AHL Hershey on Friday, Tarik El-Bashir of The Athletic reports.
Iorio was selected 55th overall in the 2021 Draft and has spent this season with Hershey, where he has two goals and 17 points in 51 games. The 20-year-old defenseman played with WHL Brandon last season, scoring 11 times and adding 33 assists in 60 games.
