Chychrun got the Senators on the board with a power-play goal in the first period, tying the game 1-1, before tallying the eventual game-winner on another man advantage late in the third, beating Calvin Pickard with a one-timer off a Drake Batherson feed. Chychrun had gone 18 games without a goal prior to Sunday's contest, picking up just two assists in that span. The 25-year-old blueliner now has 11 goals and 34 points through 70 games this season.

Chychrun posted two power-play assists in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Red Wings.
Chychrun avenged his Nov. 16 outing against the Wings, when he skated to a minus-2 rating and marked the beginning of a seven-game point drought. He's performing quite well overall, based on five goals, 10 assists and eight power-play points through 22 games. The Senators' 22 points are the fewest in the Eastern Conference, but so are Ottawa's 22 games played, so Chychrun could start climbing the scoring leaderboard among defensemen as the Senators start to take the ice more regularly.
Chychrun scored an even-strength goal and added a power-play assist in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Maple leafs.
He also chipped in two shots on goal, two PIM, one blocked shot and an impressive plus-4 rating. Chychrun tied the score at 3-3 midway through the second period on a one-timer from the top of the faceoff circle to the right of Joseph Woll, then the blueliner helped set up Dominik Kubalik for the game-winner in the third. Chychrun has had a strong start to his first full season in Ottawa, finding the scoresheet in eight of 11 games and piling up five goals and 11 points.

Chychrun did his best to spur the Senators' offense Thursday, logging nine shots in a team-high 28:12 of action, including 5:24 on the power play. He tied the game 2-2 in the second period, firing a wrister through traffic that snuck by Ilya Sorokin. The 25-year-old Chychrun now has goals in back-to-back games and is up to seven points (four goals, three assists) through seven games to start his first full season with Ottawa.

Senators' Jakob Chychrun: Three-point effort against Flyers

Chychrun scored two goals, one on the power play, and added a power-play assist in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Flyers.
The former Coyote was all over the scoresheet with three shots, two blocked shots, two PIM, one hit and a plus-2 rating, and Chychrun wired home the first two goals of the game to set the Sens toward their first win of the season. The 25-year-old blueliner is seeing a big role with the man advantage so far, and after managing only two goals and five points over 12 games with Ottawa in 2022-23, Chychrun appears much more comfortable with his new team to kick off the current campaign.
Chychrun (hamstring) will be ready for the start of training camp, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.
Chychrun missed the final 10 games of the 2022-23 season because of a hamstring injury. In 48 appearances between Arizona and Ottawa last season, he supplied nine goals, 24 assists, 144 shots on net and 83 blocked shots. Chychrun is slated to play on the top pairing with Thomas Chabot (wrist) during his first full campaign with the Senators in 2023-24.
