  • Golden Knights' Jack Eichel: Collects power-play helper

Eichel notched a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Tuesday's 6-1 win over the Kings. Eichel had a five-game point streak snapped Saturday in Florida, but he got right back on the scoresheet Tuesday. • Golden Knights' Jack Eichel: Taking leap forward

Eichel set up two goals Thursday in a 4-3 loss to the Lightning. Eichel's season-long point streak now stands at five games and 10 points, as he's totaled two goals and eight assists. Eichel's most-productive season came in Buffalo in 2018-19 when he put up 82 points, including 54 assists. Injuries have kept him from taking a significant leap forward in his career, but that could be changing this year. Eichel has put up better than a point-per-game over the last two seasons (134 points in 130 games), and he's finally looking like the superstar that some projected he'd be during his draft season.

Eichel, Mark Stone and Ivan Barbashev are the hottest line in hockey so far, and Vegas seems content to load up that top line and let them loose. So far, so good.
