Kevin Huber: Inked to Cincy's practice squad
The Bengals signed Huber to the practice squad Wednesday.
Huber was Cincinnati's initial starting punter for the 2022 campaign, but he was waived by the team Monday. Drue Chrisman beat Huber out for the No. 1 gig early December after having been elevated for game action three times. Huber, the Bengals career leader in almost every punting metric, will stick with the practice squad and could resurface at a later date.

Kevin Huber: Let go Monday
Huber was waived by the Bengals on Monday, Kelsey Conway of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Huber was in the middle of his 14th season with the Bengals. The veteran punter had struggled this year, averaging just 43.2 yards per punt, which is tied with his rookie season for a career worst. The 37-year-old was benched in favor of Drue Chrisman after Week 9, who has gone on to average 51.2 yards per punt in three games. Whether Huber will pursue opportunities with other teams once he clears waivers is unknown.

Bengals' Kevin Huber: Re-ups with Cincy
Huber re-signed Monday with the Bengals on a one-year contract.
Huber is back for his 14th season in Cincinnati, but he'll have to battle Drue Chrisman for the punting job throughout OTAs and training camp. The 36-year-old appeared in all 17 regular-season games for the Bengals in 2021, averaging 46.4 yards per boot.

Bengals' Kevin Huber: Re-signs with Bengals
Huber signed a three-year contract extension with the Bengals on Wednesday, Jim Owczarski of Cincinnati.com reports.
Huber has spent his entire nine-season career in Cincy and is now set to remain there through his age-35 season. The veteran averaged a respectable 46.6 yards per punt last season while downing 32 punts within the 20-yard line, his most since 2012.
